I absolutely LOVE this ... And I would like to share a quick story... While shopping one day several years ago .. I overheard the cashier at the deli counter say to the customer "Have a Good Day" .. I only heard the response as I was not actually looking in that direction .. The answer came back in a small weathered voice .. " Every day is a good day" ... I looked up to see a very old, fragile looking man who had made the response .. In that moment I was touched, moved and perspective changed.. And I have not forgotten it over all the years that have passed since. I think of it often in fact. It has been at least 30 years ago ... I will leave you with one final thought "if you think you have nothing to be grateful for ... check your pulse .." To everyone who reads this "Have a GOOD DAY" !
Thanks for sharing. We are often inspired by these little things that other people may not even notice. I was and continue to be inspired by a guy who worked at a gym. When I asked back how are you, he was excited and said something along the lines of "I am great. I am grateful for every moment of my life." When I asked why? He said, "Each morning, when I opened my eyes and found that I am still breathing, I am so grateful and excited about another day."

I have battled with depression and your comment reminded me of a dark place I was in. We all go through tribulations and I found in my own life once I started focusing on the positives it was a better day. Somedays I would wake up and I didn’t want to get out of bed because everything felt gloomy. I understand that blocking / negative/ anger feeling…but I also realized I was carrying around all that negative energy and it was exhausting and affecting all the people that loved me…I could see them slipping away. I didn’t know how to change, I felt miserable. I started taking walks and I was so broke-I would say to myself just breathe the air is free, just take in the beauty around you. Then my mind would ponder on weird things like birds in flight and how it was a “free” show, but nonetheless I felt thankful to experience the moment. It’s the little weird moments that have helped me. By the way I am deaf and I am thankful for the other senses I do have.
