in the Netherlands things are not going smoothly with the TGV traffic. shortly after the HSL line was opened, the Thalys trains suddenly stopped when they passed each other on the Belgian-Dutch border and there were problems with the security system. Before the Corona crisis the THALYS ran very frequently and as a surprise the Eurostar was also added. but now that the Corona crisis has broken out, everything seems back to square one.
it is back now, and after next year the hsl will finally be properly in use, altough we should have build the hsl towards germany instead of belgium. we would have had way less politcal drama then.
DelticMatt Nah if anything, the old E300s need a route of their own, notice how now, the e300s are being forced to share the route to Brussels midi with the e320s, the only route that the e300s have to theirselves is the Disneyland route, also, stupid question but do the e320s stop at Lille Europe or not?
it is a very busy TGV line you can see that sometimes the through TGV traffic stops at the TGV station such as the Eurostar which almost stops on the TGV line.
Absolutely wonderful nothing can beat the TGV!! And the new e320 Eurostar train is also wonderful but terribly those fence at the track ruin the good view
Most of our trains don't go that fast though. They are some high speed rail projects happening in the US. Some trains in our country reach a top speed of 80 90 110 And sometimes even 125 mph.
Carmillion livery means all future TGV will have Grey/White/Red livery. Ouigo keeps their Flashy Blue/Pink livery. And of course Eurostar and Thalys keep their livery too.
What a great video and great traction at high speed I’ve only every being to Ashford International for HS1 and Stratford International to see the Eurostar’s at speed never being out off United Kingdom 🇬🇧 since 9.11.2001 what happened in the USA 🇺🇸 shame about the down pour off rain 🌧 you had but great to see the spray coming off the pantograph at speed
Because they have 2 levels to have more capacity. There is no enough space to put power-distributed motors with boogies in a double decker train. AGV are only on 1 level. 1 level means less capacity.
@@sullybully you misheard. of course America has great trains. Many of our Amtrak trains travel through some spectacular scenery in our country. Your trains don't have much great scenery since it full of trains everywhere. It's nice to take things a little slower sometimes.
Great video there my friend. Just out of interest, is there a direct train from Lille to here? As I live in Northern Ireland and I was planning to take a flight to Lille from Belfast as a possible day trip to come here to film trains myself. Here is a like from me anyway mate All the best Ash.
Thanks very much, and yes there is a direct service from Lille to Haute Picardie, its the service TGV 5164 which goes to Marseille. The first stop is Haute Picardie.
Thanks for that mate. I can start making plans for filming trains around France and also I may buy that EU Railpass if it is worth the money and providing there is no restrictions :). I also plan to ride the Thalys, IZY and the TGV Reseau and TGV Atlantique. That should spice up my playlist somewhat anyway mate. All the best Ash.
In that kind of station (lost on contryside) you do not need ticket to go on the platform neither to film trains. The station has no employes only robots,
You can't beat the original Eurostar trains. Love the way they go ''woooshwooshwoosh''! ....no other HS trains seem to do this. Plus they look so beautiful and elegant. The best looking HS train ever imo.
TrainSpotter 2004 That's not there fastest speed, on there speed trial, it reached a speed of 574.2 km/h making it the fastest train in was it 2007 or was it after that? 574.2 km/h in m/h is 358.875 miles per hour, holy crap
So two things I messed up on: 1, the TGV at full speed on trial was actually 574.8km/h which is equivalent to 359.25m/h 2, it was on September 13th 2009
Sorry I was wrong about the speed up thing but the frames in that camera bothers me. But the video is great and a dislike was just changed to a like. :)

So pains me seeing the old Eurostar’s being withdrawn by these new ones. :(

amazing video truly love that paint scheme on the thalys trains and was just curious as to the frequency of the trains passing this staion.
This video is truly wonderful and was curious as to the frequency of trains passing by here. Cheers from England
You can watch some trains on my channel too :) if you want.
Would be nice to see the AGV in service at this line! Shame SNCF did'nt order them! Good Video
Especially since Alstom made the AGV
18:43 why was that eurostar going so slow
Because that Ouigo TGV from before had just left the station and crossed in front of it.
Maybe a red light.
@@noobeh2394 They don't have red lights on the High speed lines. It uses the TVM 430 system instead of physical signals.

Beautiful Upload friend. keep it up. Thank you for sharing this to us. Greetings from Korea
My word the 373's really are cracking looking & sounding! Will be a very sad day when the last one is taken out of service!!!
Nick Phillips there is a full set in preservation
Izy have taken them on and they won't be completely gone from Eurostar. That will still have to be used on the windy tracks that 374s can't get round.
Super. On ressent bien la sensation de vitesse

Great video mate. Glad that you got a good variety of trains at Haute Picardie station. :)
Thanks very much
You're welcome. It's cool seeing these trains going along at high speed. :)
Definitely prefer the blue/ silver TGV scheme over the grey/ white/ black... Anyone know which they are keeping or putting on new future sets?
Same, I believe SNCF's aim is to eventually put them all in the brand new grey/white/black TGV livery.
Carmillion livery means all future TGV will have Grey/White/Red livery.
Ouigo keeps their Flashy Blue/Pink livery.
And of course Eurostar and Thalys keep their livery too.

Believe so
I really like the sound when it goes around in high speed :D
Umm the class 373 old livery is gone but there is basically no 373’s so still some barely one thow

Why are French high-speed trains powered by centralized trains, and are there no power-distributed ones?
Because they have 2 levels to have more capacity. There is no enough space to put power-distributed motors with boogies in a double decker train. AGV are only on 1 level. 1 level means less capacity.

High speed heaven , just knock a few hundred thousand houses down and you could have one as well unless you have lots of open space
and that’s what we’re doing - except everyone doesn’t support the whole knocking down houses part
