Honestly I'm not a Philosophical loving person- but I read Genesis by Bernard Beckett which should not be YA and is only 150 pages. And I'm still experiencing it, some people where disappointed because they expected it to be more dystopian (as it was described) but I honestly loved it more for not being so dystopian.

Gabby is a queen!! I definitely love thrillers that you want to go back and reread to understand more. Those are the BEST ones and it’s a different experience reading them the second time.

I loved We Are the Ants, and every other book I've read by him. The book is about going from trying to live for everyone else, I.e. him asking everyone if he should push the button, to him living for himself. Its about hopefulness in the face of a million reasons to not have hope.
I really liked the silent patient and we are the ants. I’ll tackle at least one more from the list. Also, I REALLY like this series. You should read peace love books, drinking by my shelf or bookables :)
Personally, I enjoyed We Are the Ants because I think it went to the crux of the matter of "Would I save the world if I had the chance?". I have wondered about that before (and my answer would be negative) and that was what mainly attracted me towards this book. When I read it, I liked the way that the family was flawed and I liked the conclusion of all the plots and subplots. This is what I wrote in my Goodreads "review": I have a certain type regarding books: those whose characters' morals are frowned upon, and that question life, death, existence, and what it means to be good or bad. We Are The Ants gave me most of that. I don't think it is a story to everyone, but I found it coherent, compelling, funny, heartbreaking, and, to me in particular, very healing. It was an awesome coming of age story that refused to be black and white or simple. The characters felt real and my feelings for them were complicated. All in all, I needed this book and I'll probably revisit it soon. I love it.
You should try JesseTheReaders books he has a pretty varied taste in books. You should try Outlander the first few books follow one couple then the rest follow their families. It's a good series if you like big meaty romances.

Junkie is actually a spin off of another romance series called #Nerd. Trent is a friend of the two main couples in that series and drew is the brother of one of the girls in the second couple. That why you don't get much back story.

I might check out the Matt Haig book- I hadn't heard of it :D I also prefer books that challenge my morality with questions, rather than preaching. Good books have something to say, but they should be able to say it without preaching.
In response to the sections about All the Ugly and Wonderful Things regarding the age difference, I don't endorse it and I don't know the exact age difference in the book BUT I have witnessed these relationships in real life and know they aren't always bad. For example, my mom was 14 and my dad was 20 when they started dating, and they ended up married nearly 25 years with 3 kids. My best friend is also dating an older gentlemen. I'm not sure how I feel about that one yet, but I think it's important to keep an open mind as long as no one is being harmed physically or in other ways. It varies between situations I supposed is the best way to put it. (Again, not endorsing, just making a point)
Would you do one for BookswithEmilyFox? I just think that you both have different taste and that would be nice to see how you end up feeling about your picks.
