If you want another book about super rich people, I really loved Women of Good Fortune by Sophie Wan. It’s like Crazy Rich Asians + Ocean’s Eight, set in Shanghai about a group of friends who decide to stage a heist to steal all the money gifts from one of the women’s upcoming wedding to a guy she doesn’t really want to marry. So lavish and entertaining.
I'm so glad you liked Isabel and the Rogue! As a Mexican-American women, it brings me so much joy to see more Latinx rep in romance. It's been a few months now but I'm still obsessed with Isabel and Sirius 🥰 especially *that* scene under the desk 🤭
One of my romance book clubs read Chef's Choice earlier this year and I loved it. I'm trans and it reflected the community so accurately. It was really lovely to see some of our inter community conversations play out on page.
I tried Quicksilver, got 20 pages in and put it down because the fmc seemed intolerably sassy and dumb. But I hear so many good things, so maybe it's worth another try
Totally agree with Remedial Magic. I was a victim of the marketing and wanted my lesbian witchy romance that I thought it would be. I ended up DNFing because I just couldn’t get into it
I’m in the minority and did not enjoy Quicksilver! After all the hype, I found it so disappointing. The characters felt so cookie cutter and 2-dimensional. The writing was also super cringe: “I suppose I’m just bored…nothing to do but drink wine and slaughter peasants for fun.” And that’s one of the villains were meant to be intimidated by 🤷♀️🙈😂 As recent romantasy reads go, it wasn’t a perfect read but Metal Slinger had a great ending that definitely left me intrigued for book 2!
Please review a Keri lake book Anathema, nocticadia or Juniper Unraveling. Pleaseeeee. Juniper unraveling so dark so tragic found family heart wrenching. I haven’t seen not one book tuber reviewing this author and I’m shocked. It’s a must please literally begging you. Especially for dark fall vibes. She’s so dark so atmospheric just an amazing author.
A romantasy that I‘ve never seen anyone talk about (except for Jenn from The Book Refuge, who I got the recommendation from) is The Ever King by LJ Andrews. It‘s got pirates, true enemies to lovers and fey. It‘s my favourite romantasy I‘ve read and I want more people to read it 🩵

As a Leigh Bardugo fan I was so hyped for The Familiar. As Spaniard, surprisingly underwhelmed by the historical documentation 💔

If you're in a romantasy/cozy fantasy mood I would love to see you read the Uncanny Romance series by Lish Mcbride. the second book was really good

❤❤❤
The romance in Faebound ruined it for me. It was so insta despite being rivals, and they annoyed me a lot.
No bc the way i heavily disliked a dawn of onyx 😑😑😑
I DNF'd Before the Coffee Gets Cold last month. I really wanted to like it. The concept sounded really cool but it did not do it for me.
