This video is doesn't do the songs justice. Even if you have to blur the video for copyright. The reaction to the video is 1/2 the experience. No one will hate you for hearing it before watching it. You want emotional response, watch the original.
"Pain Remains" is a concept album. It's about a man that falls into a dreamworld to escape reality, makes it lucid(Welcome Back, O' Sleeping Dreamer, Into The Earth), becomes god of the world(Sun//Eater), enjoys his reign for a bit(Cursed To Die), then, experiences disenchantment, resentment, and futility(Soulless Existence, Apotheosis). This ends in anger/wrath(Wrath), until he finds a love, who subsequently vanishes as quickly as she appeared, which is where the trilogy starts(Pain Remains I, II, III). The trilogy details the culmination of all the songs together by the rage, despair, and hopelessness the protagonist feels at losing what he thought would fix his "perfect dream world" where he was god. He lost his love. Turns out dreams are meaningless without action so the protagonist tries to burn the world down to escape back to reality. Which is where the triumphant melody from the chorus of part 2 and the end of the trilogy comes from. It's a call to action. So the protagonist may or may not have escaped at the end. I like to think of it as similar to when Leonardo Di Caprio's character and his lover got stuck in dream level 4 during Inception, if you've ever seen that movie.
I want to say watch the original video, but as bad as you felt for the man in the forest, the man in the original will fucking break your soul, this video is nothing compared to the original, and it also indicates where each song ends and the next begins.
Like others have said, watch the original videos.. will alleviate your story line confusion These three were the first songs I ever heard from Lorna shore and I became an instant fan
22:29 and THIS is the reason you should watch the music videos from THEM ... Part 1 - she goes away Part 2 - he tries to follow her Part 3 - in a sea of Fire he finally gets what he wanted
Comment part 3 cause algorithm boost: I've saw like, im pretty sure, EVERY lorna shore reaction on youtube and everyone that did not reacted to the official video thought that she just left him and didnt think that she just could die. And he was pissed at the world and not at her. The line "you were nothing but a shackle, now i can breathe" its deciving of course, but other comments already explained to you why that make sense (the whole story of him being a god inside his own dream etc") Last thing: you're clearly a very good person, i can tell from how you react to some lyrics. You have a good heart, keep up the good work :)
Comment Part 2. This video resonates with me a lot more than the official video. An old man at the end of his life, alone in a forest, thinking about his life. Essentially, death. This is something we all must face, and we will all face it alone. The official video is quite a bit darker. And neither of the videos line up with the actual story of the songs(see my other comment), so don't feel bad about being confused. The lead guitarist, the vocalist, the drummer, and the bassist all have playthroughs of their songs, all are worth checking out. If you want another Lorna Shore song, I think their best single song is "Of The Abyss". That is if we count this trilogy as three songs. Also, when you go look up the trilogy on your own, you'll notice the last lines of the trilogy are all three song titles in one. "Dancing Like Flames" "After All I've Done, I'll Disappear" "In a Sea of Fire"
This trilogy is basically about a man losing his wife to some kinda illness and the aftermath of that. With the original music viedoes you'll get more context :) I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that this trilogy made the entire metal community ball their eyes out. It's a masterpiece in my opinion! I would LOOOOOVE to see these guys live backed up with a full orchestra!! :)
"a part of me want to me see him singing this me live" A part of me want to see you react to him singing this live, so... ...there's a one take of the whole trilogy by the entire band :) its even better than a live version since its an actual studio version, but just recorded in a one take.
There's a video out there that has all three of the original music videos WITH lyrics at the bottom of the screen that I think you (and your viewers) would enjoy your reaction to so much more :)
Its a twenty minute song cut into three parts. The video you watched smoothed out the transition points. Part 1 transitions to Part 2 on the word melodies, and Part transitions to part 3 on the violin. I'm not sure why the video you watched put the band name during the solos. Keep in mind the Pain Remains album has a overall lucid dreaming/god of his dreams theme. In the end of Pain Remains 3 he wants to screw the lucid dream world and to back to the real world.
Comment 3, for the algorithm. If you liked the orchestrations and heaviness mixed together, as well as the grand-ness. You *_really_* need to check out Wintersun. Jari, the composer/lead vocalist/guitarist, is a freaking melodic and layering wizard. So much depth to every single bar of every single song. I don't know how he does it. Their song Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars (Live Rehearsal At Sonic Pump Studios) will do you nicely. Here's a link. th-cam.com/video/Tl5T-glTdXw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bd1LgwZsV_SxR-AV
Lots of other symphonic deathcore bands besides Lorna Shore you might enjoy. Disembodied Tyrant&Synestia recently released EP full of bangers > th-cam.com/video/J9aJQHJq4nc/w-d-xo.html one of their songs. Shadow of Intent is another fan favourite, including mine. Assemble the Chariots has some bangers aswell.
if the background music and choirs do it for you, you should really listen to "Apotheosis" from them. This track have no musicvideo, so just grab a lyric video. You will LOVE Apotheosis for sure
Awesome BUT you must do the official music videos, and yes it's three songs.... But really you have to watch the real videos..Heres the video WITH lyrics. You get more out of the concept of the trilogy. th-cam.com/video/WH3BOx1ppk4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sf9_ANt9cScI3JHo 😊

This is their OFFICIAL videos in one video.
Hope you've seen the official videos now, even in your own time 🖤
You HAVE to do the official music videos. They add so much power and meaning to the songs.

To understand the trilogy you gotta listen to the whole album.
@@ThaBeatConductor agreed
If you ever react to BAND-MAID's "Endless Story" from their 10th anniversary tour, it'll probably take me a while to watch it.
Without the video this song doesn't have the same effect. You need a re-do
Sadly, this fan video is very very cringe but whatever, music is the important thing anyway.
I posted a History of Lorna Shore if anyone wants to check it out
This is such a lame version. The original videos explain everything. Although there is no holding your hand lyrics. You'll understand.
