- Hey! In this video, I will show you guys and explain my review for Zipair Tokyo which is owned wholly by Japan Airlines and it is Japan's Newest LCC! They do follow the safety regulations and protocols as Japan Airlines too! The seats seem more modern than previous flights I have been on! The prices are really good which is a plus !
The cons that I found were just that there was no refunds, and cancellations, and change of flight dates, and no in flight entertainment, and amenities and in flight meals and baggage is extra but can be purchased via the Zipair website together in a package, depending on which package you want or need, or you do have the option to just customise each service or amenity you want to purchase and that will go towards your final price at the end.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this airline and flight! I would definitely fly with them again in the future!

The in flight meals that I chose were ( and all were really delicious and do recommend for foodies ) :
1. TORI SOBORODON (MINCED CHICKEN BOWL)
2. CHEESE RAVIOLI W/SPINACH CREAM SAUCE
3. BUTTER CHICKEN CURRY
I purchased a round trip ticket via the Zipair Website which I linked below and I added the Premium Package which Included, in flight meal, amenities, and baggage and check in baggage

You can cancel and get your money back as long as you cancel 24 hours before the flight. United States department of Transportation has rules that say that any flight that leaves the U.S.A. or flies into the U.S.A. Must give you your money back if you cancel at least 24 hours before your flight. Not credits or miles but cash back.

I found them on google flights and paid $725 round trip. Crazy affordable! Last time I went to Japan I flew with EVA Airways which was about 15 hours and had a 3 hour layover in Taiwan. 18 hours total. idc how simplistic this is. less than 12 hours of flight time NONSTOP? JAL and ANA are $1500+ nonstop for economy. I could care less for the entertainment. Ill bring it myself. Locked in for March 2023!

How was your flight experience?
How were the seats? Are they comfortable for a 11 hr flight? Are the seats narrow or wider than domestic flights?
Hi ! The seats were alright for me actually but I was with my toddler and we had the three seats to ourselves 😊 I think the seats are not wider but not super narrow
Do they weigh your carry ons? How was the luggage check in work?
Yes they weighed the luggage and it was fine for me and as for my carry ons I think they checked
Can you clarify something, if the flight is booked for let’s say 10:25 is it 10:25 Los Angeles time or 10:25 Japan time I’m confused
It’s a Japan owned airline so I’d assume it’s 10:25 JP.
You Can use the Free Wifi for see TH-cam and Social Media ???
Yes, we can use the Free Wifi for social media like Facebook, Instagram and as for video, It can work but some times it is slow so for videos, it is better to download the videos you want to watch :)
Do they weigh and measure your carry on baggage? My carry on is 3 cm taller than their specifications and I don’t want it up be a problem

Do they weigh your carryon? If so, do they do it at the gate before boarding or at the check-in counter. I can fit my stuff in a carryon just fine but they are definitely over the weight limit.
So as i understand u have food incluided but you as for an extra package of food, is that right ?
I purchased the food as a premium package along with the online flight ✈️ purchase that can be done directly through their website Zipair and it was just like total 100$ more for in flight food and amenities like this
Don’t believe there’s any food unless you buy the package or individually

I sat in the middle and I was with my 2 year old son who we had the three seats to ourselves at that time 🥰

Q 1 ... What is the maximum wt of check in luggage on business class cabin. ...Q 2 can i bring my own meal and drinks ,.,, Q 3 what is the maximum wt of carry on luggage ,,, thanks
Hello! For the check in luggage, Q1: I think the maximum is 32 kg ! But for mine I just hAD a 23 kg suitcase , and Fees differ according to whether the items weighing up to 14kg, 23 kg, or 32 kg. (Limit of 32 kg per item)
Q2: I think you can bring like a cup of ramen or noodles so you can just get them to add hot water to it or you can bring your own food I believe as well!
Q3 : For carry on Baggage, with a combined weight of 7kg, is free of charge. Additional fees apply for baggage that exceeds this number (maximum of 12kg).

Well business class under 1000 not bad...but i never heard of them...lots of negative reviews...I'm flying in February to Japan...
Business class should be pretty good and comfortaBle ( Also of course they do not have in flight entertainment so if you are fine with that then no problem ;) ) Also for the food did you buy the in flight meal already ?? ! If you are Ok with the Flight dates that you have booked or will book then I would say go for it !
I really liked your review. We would go San Jose, California (to Tokyo).
I know they are a “budget” airline owned by JAL. We haves used both ANA and JAL and Like their airlines and customer service.
I know with Zip- you pay for what you want. I know full well what I’m getting into if I use them.
my husband’s concern is …HOW is their Customer Service?
We have had experience with “budget” airlines in the past. You either get bad customer service AND /Or rude cheap/loud passengers.

I am so glad you enjoyed this review, and I hope it can help or reassure you ! From Tokyo to California, the flight was very nice and comfortable, and yes there is no in flight entertainment but I did download videos beforehand and slept and as for food it was pretty good and satisfying!
As for the customer service, at the time that I went on this flight it was not the greatest to be honest... I really hope they will offer customer service for everyone via phone because I think now they only offer thru chat or email which is not so convenient for all of us!
Other than the customer service, no in flight entertainment, no refund, can not change the flight date, everything else was nice for me and my experience ! I knew what I wanted which was a ticket to LA from Tokyo and I booked it directly through Zipair website and I purchased the premium package for an extra 100$ but it does include blanket, slippers, sleep mask, ear plugs, neck support, etc... and the meals were like just an extra 15 $ at most so that cost + the flight cost was much lower than other airlines that I saw !
Do not fly Zipair. It is terrible. There is no customer service. Zipair refused to let me board even though I had a ticket and stranded me in Tokyo.

@@davidrosen1915 elaborate? They cant refuse you if you follow through on what youre supposed to do. Any airline is like that. Being a japanese company thats strict on their policies as long as you do everything within those parameters youll be good

Yess I brought mine from airport that I fit while I was waiting for the flight ✈️ ! I put it in my carry on after I went thru check in

How much is “really affordable “? 😂
In comparison with other airlines, this was much lesser price like 1000$- 1200$ for a round trip ticket but I traveled to LA ! Prices vary throughout the year, and it just depends on where you are going and the time of the year, but for me it qualifies as really affordable because I traveled with a toddler so they have this discount for traveling with a young child.
Really good prices, I locked in a round trip for two in March 2023 for $500 each. That’s a total of $1,000

What terminal did you arrive in narita?
hello! I believe it was Terminal 1 I left and I think I arrived in that same one but I will double check !
Do not fly Zipair. It is terrible. There is no customer service. Zipair refused to let me board even though I had a ticket and stranded me in Tokyo.

I understand your concern with the customer service, however did you book your ticket directly through Zipair website? Also what is the reason they did not allow you to board ?
@@CandiOsaka They denied me and several others boarding passes because we were 3 minutes "late", even though there was no delay getting through security and plenty of time to board They were still checking people in, but refused all of us and left us stranded with no customer assistance. We all had to buy new tickets on a different airline. On top of that, they were just rude and heartless

Boeing 737 max... Not going anywhere near that junk... That plane is sketchy AF
This is not a Boeing 737 Max....This is a Boeing 787 Dreamliner :)
Zipair Does not use Boeing 737 Max! They use Boeing 787 :) Do you like the Dreamliner ?

But yes I know what you’re talking about with the 737 Max I have read some scary stuff about that airplane and I did make sure that Zipair is not 737 max lol and so I did research boeing 787 and many people told me to not worry so I finally got the courage to fly with them !
