Been in this sneaker shit for 15 years. The quality of materials on authentic shoes have been on a rollercoaster for years. Unauthorized Replicas a.k.a Fakes have cracked the code by being able to buy the same exact materials used in Nike and Adidas factories, making it harder to tell what's "real" anymore. Authentic shoes vary with every single pair made and end up with defects because the entire shoemaking process isn't done by machine so its subject to human error. I use to clown people for wearing fakes but at this point you can see how people are splitting hairs to find the differences between sneakers "the tissue paper, font on a shoebox sticker really yall?! Come on! A letter or a stitch being off could never justify me paying 5x-10x over retail value. The reseller community will never embrace replicas because it threatens their profit margins, it's a simple equation of supply and demand. If you can get a shoe that is 90-99% similar to its "real version" with no hassle and pay close to or under retail why pay astronomical prices? At the end of the day whether it's Direct from Nike, a consignment shop or reseller, they're all capitalizing in someway off of your want for a sneaker. Real or Replica they all cost less to produce than what any of us pay for em.

Thats facts, but the thing is as someone who visited these major cities where the shoes are made. The reps and real ones are made in the EXACT same factory majority of the time. A lot of replicas are just B stock that got sent off with minor errors. But some of the cheaper replicas still are created as replicas out of very similar materials in the same locations.
Finally some truth
The fact that he has to sit down, phone a friend, inspect the paper in the box, look up stuff on his phone, use references, get second opinions, feel the inside of the sole of the shoe, smell it etc, just SHOWS you that you just need to buy the UAs, because there's no difference 😂😂🤣 LOL.

@@itachithegoat1186 UAs are made with the same material and supplies as the real shoes and are often made in the same exact factories as extras or didn’t pass quality control. Fakes can be UAs or they can be poor quality fakes made from different materials and usually have visible flaws

As someone who works in a shoe shop that sells branded shoes, I should give you all a heads up,
Almost every line branded shoes I've ever seen has ALWAYS had at least 4 pairs in it that have been some how defective.
Either writing is funny, or the colour has "leaked". No matter how minute, when you see shoes so often, you can just spot the faults. Hell I've even had pairs of genuine suede shoes look entirely different from another pair in another side. So looking at the genuine v dupes, I can tell you, I wouldn't be surprised if some genuine ones look faker than some dupes. That doesn't mean a shop won't sell them and not warn you. Often workers are encouraged to not point out problems with the shoes and allow customers to but at their own risk.
So yeah, whilst the first two shops got it right, that's not to say they wouldn't reject real ones too on the assumption that the minor defects are signs that they're dupes.
Only the cream de la cream of shoe stores will ensure that all the shoes they're selling are without defects so make sure when you buy a pair you check every inch of it for any faults before you but.

The guys making those replicas that are so close to the originals ate geniuses. How the hell they do it? It is way easier just to design an original shoe than to reverse engineer an existing shoe, to find the exact materials, fonts, colours, machinery and skilled workers to produce them etc.
I'm enjoying your videos. I think you should not present them with the box, just the shoes alone to see if they can tell the difference. It would force them to be more accurate with their authentication skills.
