Stock Xs fees are pretty ridiculous. The amount of times I saw a shoe I liked and made it to the confirmation screen just to say nah is insane. I get it if you’re buying used because they have to actually take time to look at it and confirm it’s legit but when they’re getting shoes directly from the manufacturer, a 20 dollar processing fee is insane.

They don't get it from the manufacturer, it's from individual people. The shoes just have to be new
You forgot to mention that Grailed digital authenticates their sneakers and clothing, meaning someone looks at the photos to determine if they're legit and if there's enough proof that their legit. As a seller on Grailed, I've had a listing rejected because I didn't have enough photos of the item or because I need photos of specific areas of the shoes/clothing item.

depends where it’s coming from. if the seller was in Europe, Africa, Asia or Oceania then they send the shoes to the Hong Kong authentication place then it gets shipped to you. but now there’s a London authenticator so times are much shorter now.
My goat order takes like 1 and a half weeks i orderee from stock x it took 3weeks and like 2days so i stopped using them i only use goat and ebay now

You got lucky with GOAT imo. The earliest I've ever got a pair of shoes is 7 days (which is average) but I had a pair of shoes never make it to GOAT, then GOAT found another seller, and they also failed to ship the shoes to the facility on time. In total that all took about three weeks before I was given a refund and free shipping on my next order. Still my go to shoe app, but their customer service sucks

Yeah-I ordered Jan. 10th-received Jan. 25th. 15 days start to finish. I ordered a different pair straight from Nike on the 22nd and they came the same day as my shoes from GOAT.
StockX customer service is surprisingly better (somehow). Lost a pair in a flash flood (over 800 packages were destroyed) and they refunded me less than an hour later, no questions asked. Despite the info not being publicly available until the next day

In Canada
GOAT still has duty fees and hidden fees, but they have the option to storage your shoes for lower costs and make it nice as a seller. Also they have options to buy/sell used pairs.
StockX has worked out their shipping and fees but is still too expensive as a seller.
Grailed is the hypebeast version of eBay and seem promising if they work in authenticity.

As far as stockx goes the reason why the taxes aren't applied in the beginning is because its going off the information saved on your account. Taxes for each state is different and they won't know that until you go to the next step.

Goat over Stock x any day, I had ordered a pair of bred toe 1s on the stock x app and the shoes never came, then I had to email back and forth with them multiple times with multiple different stock x representatives just for them to send me the shoe I payed for. Over Three months later the shoes finally came in and the box was damaged and ripped and the lace bag was already detached, I’m not even sure the shoes were Ds. In the end I decided I’d keep them though because dealing with stock x is just a pain. Overall, I would just order from goat if your trying to make a decision, I’ve bought three shoes from them, and the shoes come in less than a week from the time you place the order order every time.
That’s what happened to me but I didn’t get a refund and no shoes🤦🏾♂️

I think shipping should vary depending on where they’re being shipped from originally. I order a pair of Jordan 1 ROTY’s off goat and theyre shipping from the UK. Ordered on January 31 and still haven’t received them. Tracking number was given, but won’t be updated until it reaches the US...

Because Grailed uses PayPal, you can protest the sale with proof they aren’t rea and get your money back. I’ve had to file two claims from Grailed and received refunds for both

that sales tax issue on StockX is only applicable in some states. states like New Jersey does not tax clothing items.
The instant shipping option is for shoes that are already authenticated, they are ready to ship asap, so it goes from goat straight to you.

Also, it's very unlikely bootleggers would bootleg the Bodega Dunks bc they're a recent release and because its such a unique shoe. I wouldn't recommend Grailed for rare shoes (unless you want them to send you a lot of photos and you want to legit check it.) But I would recommend it for recent releases or sneakers without a lot of hype.

Goat came in from the USA to me, I live in the UK in 3 days. Insanely fast but the taxes I had to pay oh my.... 170 GBP originally went to 275 GBP after delivery and all other taxes....
The reason sales tax is shown so late is because it depends on what state you are in and it is simpler than having different price calculated for different states before even buying the shoe, it’s the same at any other store. Sales Tax is added at checkout
GOAT is normally not that fast....in fact, one of the slowest purchases I've got in my collection took 3 weeks from GOAT.
I have bought and sold on eBay and it takes about 10 days give or take a day,it seems like it sits in authentication
For 3-4 days,after it’s been authorized it’ll take 48 hours because they expedite with fedex.

Thats called IMPORT TAX from your countires CUSTOMS MAN… lmao… Many countries charge an Import Tax at customs when you order an item from another country….
Whoever the shipper is in your case DHL will send you a customs bill to charge you for the import tax… CUSTOMS in all countries is another corrupt tax system that taxes items that were already taxed in other ways.
Goat has a ton of storage areas everywhere so it might not be from a person but instead from one of their warehouses

This is a great video and good idea on the shoes. But I feel like picking a shoe that is faked more often would have been more of a challenge.
I think you cant compare the sites through the „buy now“ price cause sometimes its higher in stockx or goat because a pair just sold and its far away from the actual equibilibrium price. He should have bid on them and wait until he got the cheapest possible price.

Tax is always calculated this way, it depends on where you are based. State to state the % differs. In fact city to city it does.
Flight club told me a shoe was “tried on” and sent pics. Goat sent me a brand new ds pair of Yeezy slides. They smelled like a blunt. Didn’t say a thing to me about it. Stock x never says a thing unless it doesn’t pass. However shipping in all of them really isn’t bad. I think the longest I’ve ever waited for any of them was 2 weeks. Even with rejects and finding another seller

I guess it all depends on where you're located. Where I'm at I don't get charged Taxes, and my worst buying experience was on Goat. I tried to cancel a purchase that I've made 2 minutes earlier coz I found a $75 cheaper pair and it refused to cancel coz the seller confirmed the order. What kind of bs is this, seller didn't even ship the item till 3 days later. To me, they are a desperate very unprofessional company. There's a saying that Customer is always right, not with Goat. Btw I received the unwanted sneaker 3 weeks later and ended up keeping it coz for me to return I had to lose more money. StockX is way better and it never charged me taxes. Just shipping and processing fees
