It sounds wise but it makes no sense. The whole point of Fate is that you are on a pre-set path that leads to the same ending that someone has set for you. Free will is every choice you make can (and probably will) lead to an alternate ending. They are complete opposites. I find the idea of Fate to be a sick joke because that means we all have a pre-set ending while torturing ourselves with the illusion of Free Will.
It's so good at making you laugh, be angry, cheer, be in love, and feel like your heart is ripped out. Definitely a very quality show, though the amount of kleenex I went through... And not just the first time around!
I don't find it sad at all, and in my opinion, it's better than any other show that ends with people riding into a sunset that doesn't really tell us much about them. In this case, this relationship moved to a different place, where the two do different things that are even more meaningful for infinity. I love it!
The expression of Tom showing happiness of meeting Decker and remorse at the thought of her being dead at the same time is just a bloody brilliant piece of acting.
I have a question - once Lucifer decided to be Hell’s therapist, was he able to see or visit Maze, Amenadiel, and Eve? Like since all of them are immortal, were they able to visit Lucifer in hell or vice versa?
One of the things I love in this scene is that Lucifer designed is office to look exactly like Linda’s. Instead of creating his own space he just recreated the room where he learned and grew! Edit: I can’t believe I have 4K likes! This is the most I have ever had! ❤️
I liked this ending because it confirmed so much without needing to show it. For all the time Chloe spent trying to fight her feelings for Lucifer, the show confirmed it never wavered once they parted ways. If Chloe had moved on and loved another, she would not have gone to He'll to be with Lucifer, so that 1 fact confirms that she willingly lived the remainder of her life with the knowledge that in the end it would be okay. That's a powerful statement made by just this scene
It sounds hard, but actually it feels like a very comforting thought: Imagine you had a 100% guarantee that your big reward, the thing you desire most will be at the end of your life, as long as you are not straying too far off.
@ottokarl5427 I mean I can't imagine she stayed didn't have sex, I mean what a waste of Chloe never did that again lol. But yeah, agree had the knowledge of exactly where her soul was going for eternity and with who. That had to be a comfort
you could technicly say she was made for Lucifer. she was born because Amenadiel was ordered by god to bless their parents with a child. and Lucifer could be wounded with "mortal" weapons while near the detective (as a state of vulnerability what turned out to be physical and emotionally like love). Amenadiel also found love and became a father. they both had quite some struggles to over come and you could say it was all part of gods big plan@@ryanabate1981
This ending was bittersweet but to be honest i couldn't think of a better one. to know that Chloe and Lucifer will be together forever is amazing. also Lucifer saying 'hello detective' killed me. I really missed that line throughout this season so to have it be in the last scene / hear it for the last time was just right. this show has a special place in my heart and i'll truly miss it
@@angelgu323 true. I truly missed her this season and her not being at her moms deathbed just makes no sense. At the end of the show it felt like Rory was the only one they cared about.
I cried like a baby when I saw this scene. But they were tears of joy, because I realized they were going to be together forever doing what they love. Solving mysteries and loving each other and turning hell from a place of dread into a place of transformation and healing. The minute I heard MCR’a notes of “Welcome to the Black Parade” I was like ohhhhh yay 🥲, but I was like already crying when Charlie got his wings.

Let's all appreciate the sadistic brilliance of God's plan for Lucifer here: whoever ruled Hell was always meant to *_heal_* its residents, not torture them, but the Big Guy knew his son's pride would never let him figure it out until eons later... when Chloe walked into his life. The last six seasons were never anything about becoming God, or being a gift, and everything about breaking the Devil out of the first ever hell loop.
@@MrBennylargo I mean he flooded the planet and killed countless random animals just because some humans were up to no good. He also introduced various plagues and diseases to the entire world just because a pharaoh wouldn’t listen at first and then never rescinded them after he did. This shouldn’t be a shock if you look at Bible God.
It may be sadistic but it’s necessary for free will…we can’t be given the right answers, only the right questions…and I like to remember that even though it took six seasons for lucifer to realise his ultimate purpose, humans always had the potential to break their loops themselves and enter heaven…I remember someone saying somewhere that the doors to hells cells are actually unlocked…
Not many shows absolutely crush an ending. So many just can't find a way to perfectly tie so many loose ends. This show absolutely delivered. Trixie is really the only one who didn't have a set ending, but I'm assuming rory has her covered. A+ all around
@@jonathans.955 They would definitely have had to tell her, pretty much right away. Lucifer disappearing, her new sister with wings, Amenadiel and Linda's baby would have had wings within a new months of Lucifer's departure, not to mention letting her know that her dad was happy and had visited her. She's surrounded by far too many celestials and people who know who they are. She would have been able to handle the secret though, she's definitely a roll-with-the-punches kind of kid.
As soon as Rory told lucifer that it was him that guided Dan to heaven, and I realized what being the Lightbringer meant... that moment hit hard. I assumed that the Lightbringer had something to do with the flaming sword, and winning the war for heaven. Those mysterious ways man...
They ended Lucifer in such a way that it can continue and THAT is what I want along with many, many more fans. It could continue with Chloe as his partner but not just tied to hell.
0:13 "He said, son, when you grow up, would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned." Entire Lucifer's plot, him being on Earth, getting more mature over time, and finally being the savior of those in hell.
Brilliant choice of song to end the show on! The whole ending was wrapped up so well. Hats off to Netflix for bringing Lucifer to the ending that a great show deserved
Show wasn’t the greatest that’s true , had its flaws like any show really. But overall pretty entertaining and the ending well … it was actually pretty Great and meaningful indeed.

The fact that being with lucifer is the real home(heaven) to her.
Also I think they both can take a vacarion to Heaven every now and then to visit Chloe's dad, Dan and Charlotte. Lucifer is no longer banned fron Heaven. P.S wondering if it's gonna be awkward when it's Cain's turn to receive the Deckerstar treatment.

This actually is a brilliantly written ending that I have ever witnessed. We know that Chloe and many other characters are dead, but we also know that they are in heaven, and even if they are in hell, they'll eventually resolve their guilt and go to heaven. A truly happy ending.
@@99xara99 Chloe and the gang has God (Amenadiel) on their side. They can literally go down to hell and have dinner and then come back to heaven xD Or even Lucifer can come upto heaven, once in a while.
This is how hell is described originally in the Bible: there are no circles, rather it's a place where G-d doesn't exist. Therefore souls that reject Heaven for some reason can still find their own salvation.
That show was the best I have ever seen in my 53 years. The powerful emotions it evoked was more than I could imagine. I wonder if the cast knows how much it impacted people.
I did the same (though I watched it when it was new on TV), and the following day started again. Just finished today, and not gonna lie, tempted to watch the first episode again. I got SO MUCH more out if it this time around!
Did anyone else notice that the very last shot of the series with the in session light going on was also the very last shot of the pilot episode. Attention to detail like that just makes me really appreciate how much the writers care about the fans ☺
@@sharp9150 half assed a season my guy your blind listen to all the interviews with the writers and cast they where so passionate about the show from start to finish.
it was a perfect ending to this unique show. Lucifer and Chloe together for eternity. If they had given us an ending of them walking on a beach, some would have been happier, but the reality is that sooner or later Chloe was going to die , and that would leave an open ending, by this way, in my opinion, the writers assured us that they would be together forever. The choice of music in the final scene was moving.
I completely agree. My friends had to listen to me for two years saying "Someone is gonna become Kwan Yin at the end of that show." (Kwan Yin is a Chinese bodhisattva who gave up Nirvana and instead went to the underworld to soothe the souls of the damned) I've never been happier about how a show ends before.
@@BigDaddyOrphan The actress who plays Trixie was working on something else, the producers thought about using a different actress but it was confusing so they didn't bother.
This ending... The moment they reunited after be separated, and the show truly came full circle. The last lines, being Lucifer's "Hello Detective," and Chloe tying her final line in with the episode title. They truly were "Partners 'till the End," and so much more. This show was an emotional masterpiece, and had so many moments that stood out, each one which was carefully crafted by earlier episodes, and that last shot was, what I believe to be the perfect way to end the show. Even though it was over for us, the main couple would get to experience it forever. The writing was phenomenal, and how I wish I could experience this show again for the first time, so I could watch each of the breathtaking moments one more time, and feel what I felt originally. I finished it a couple months ago, and am trying to forget as much as possible so I can get closer to that joy of experiencing it again, but it's impossible to forget something like this, so I had to check back in. This has to be what I believe to be the best ending to any show I've seen, and I'm glad it came from what is probably my favorite show of all time.
Just finished the series and I have to say it is rare that a show manage to end so good. Everything fit and it just gave me a good feeling knowing that they just end up together. The show was really brilliant and every single season delivered. I think it will be a long time before I find a show that gets me that invested in all the characters and in the end manages to give all of them a good ending. I bow before everyone who took part in creating this show. You guys did such an amazing job. And to end my chapter with Lucifer let this be my last words: I wouldn't change a thing
Yes this honestly had me wishing there was no more episodes cause it would ruin this perfect ending and thats rare cause i hate loosing a good series but this one genuinely didnt hurt 🤍
@@dogsbreakfast4952 it was pretty boring. I really struggled from season 5 to 6. It just seemed to get sillier. First 3 season were brilliant. It was a bit like GOT where it should have just been finished with the main battle. The whole world ending story seemed like an afterthought.
King & Queen of Hell, the Devil and his Detective together for eternity now. Love that withstood it all: earth, heaven, hell...doesnt matter, they will always find each other. I've just finished watching the show and those last two episodes were deep, man. When Luci said "Hello, detective." Oh man! His best ever line. Great show overall. I will miss it for sure.
I just finished binge watching this entire series. I have watched a great many series going back over 50 years. I have watched a great many finale's. None have ever come anywhere near close to being as satisfying as this one. Season six as a whole was the best season and as the episodes progressed it just got better and better. My biggest complaint about any series is that they tend to just try to ramble on until they get canceled. Not this one. It, like all well told tales, had a beginning, a middle and an end. It had the most perfect ending and while I hated that it had to come to an end I am profoundly glad that it ended the way it did. No loose ends left that I can think of, none significant anyways. I might even go so far as to say this was the greatest love stories ever told and as a guy I'm not really into romantic stories, except this one. Bravo! to all who participated in the making of this work of art!
I did the same. I got hooked and was amazed by the consistent story writing. No one got easy answers. I am going to miss it. Also: HEY Marvel Tom Ellis= Dr Doom
The choice of song for this ending is PERFECT. I love MCR with my whole heart and I started sobbing immediately when I heard that g note in this scene. This is one of the best endings to a series I’ve ever seen .
Whoever put "Welcome to the black parade" as the final song deserves a raise. I started pouring tears as soon as I heard the first note, and the actual lyrics of the song really match the whole sense of the finale. This series presents massive plot holes, and I really believe that it has been poorly written for the majority of the time, but those characters just carried the whole thing, truly amazing. Bye Lucifer, we'll miss ya
I know the outcome was good and the resolution of the story was nearly perfect, but I'm never gonna get over how Trixie never got to say goodbye. I get that there were probably a lot of scheduling difficulties, especially with the pandemic, but as it turned out she lost both father figures in less than a year and possibly never even knew why and I'm not crying you are 😭
I think everyone would have told her why at some point. She had a half-angel younger sister and I am pretty sure Charlie's wings would have been seen by her at some point.
@@richardpierpoint494 A different actor wouldve been perfect. Chloe was probably in her 80s when she passed. Which was over forty years since Rory was born. So Trixie wouldve been around fifty. Could've simply gotten an older actor.

I hate how Netflix is handling its pricing and everything atm but thank you for saving this show and giving us this great send off as fans. One thing that I wanted to happen is for Lucifer to visit Chloe at her deathbed and right after Rory's return to her timeline. Still, this ending was better considering that Chloe's reunion with Lucifer at the end was more dramatic than what I suggested. Plus, we even get to see what Lucifer's actual job is as healer in hell.
The show claimed through Rory that he couldn't but I don't really believe that. Breaking the loop would mean breaking free of it as well so there's no reason for any consequences.
This was the perfect ending the show could get. Better than what we would have had if it were on FOX and they never decided to continue it. I love when shows give closure. 6 is the perfect season to end Lucifer as that's his favorite number.
To bitter for me tbh, after all that Time nearly everyone waited for them getting together they need to go separate ways again. With Lucifer being completely alone in Hell for Million or Billion Years. Nah don’t know.
...the second i heard that G note, I started bawling. The way that they combined one of the greatest rock songs of all time and this visual montage was beyond bitter-sweet and very perfect. 🖤
*I never thought that a Devil could ever move my heart.* To be honest, I was skeptical about the entire show thinking it'll be the normal Devil, Angel, and God troupe with a little bit of twist. My guesses were way off and I'm glad that I was wrong. The show offered more despite its sexual approaches. There was love, family, friends, self-reflection, enlightenment... It made me realize that if you look at things from a different point of view, you'll see a better world, unimaginable. I am really glad to be part of the journey. Cheers to you, Lucifer Morningstar.
Not really, according the Lucifer Wiki Chloe died when she was 78 years old so in reality it was only a couple of decades before they saw each other again... at least in human time but for Lucifer it was much longer than that.
I'm watching it because last night I had a dream about this show and I woke up this morning only to find that have finished watching all the seasons and the saddest part is there would be no new shows anymore. This really broke my heart. Tom's Lucifer and all the rest of the crew from Dr. Linda, Maze Dan , Charlotte, Chloe, and Amanadiel are some characters that I don't think I will ever forget. This show is just irreplaceable and I just wish we had more seasons to watch
Ive cried over the last two episodes. Lucifer was one of my favourite series ever. A few months and I will binge watch from s1 to s6 again absolutely💜💜💜
The fact that time goes faster in hell makes it all worse. Like the time where Lucifer was gone on earth for a few months, he said he was thousands of years in hell… Chloe was living 40-50 years, so Lucifer hasn’t seen her for an eternity…..
This is the best ending for me! Also, the reason Lucifer didn't visit on earth was because he didn't want to change the timeline in which Rory would go to the past... so I would like to believe after Chloe's death, because Rory knows the whole truth now, she will visit Lucifer a lot and the three become an actual family... Also because Amenediel is God (neither do the other angels hate him anymore) and Lucifer isn't banished from Heaven , he would visit the Silver City frequently to see all the others he wasn't able to see after he left Earth. He would probably open another bar like Lux in the Silver City
Yes, but a family in hell? I love the idea, but I can't wrap my mind around how they will be happy in hell. That dark and foreboding hellscape that surrounds them is so creepy, and that's now their world.
I was choking up the last 10 minutes of the episode, and as soon as he said “Hello Detective” I lost it and cried like a baby. And having ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ is an amazing choice for the last scene

Oh, is that other person Charlie, I guess as opposed to focusing on the emotion of Rory talking to her mother about the tremendous sacrifice she long ago made, electing to be apart from Lucifer for so long, yet never disclosing why. “So for people wondering,” Henderson reiterated, adult Trixie, Charlie et al are “in the next room, because Chloe asked for some privacy to talk to Rory.”

A lot of people condemn this show for the title itself, thinking that this show glorifies evil and all sorts if sins, not knowing that this masterpiece speaks for everyone who had their ups and downs in life, regrets, traumas, and all other ill-fated experiences in their lives. It's a bitter-sweet ending It's beautiful when Lucifer and Chloe are reunited and I'm happy Lucifer found his calling in life but I can't help but feel for him just imagining the pure agony he must have been in for all those years not being able to go up to the surface to see his daughter to hold her hug her tell her why he was away and all that like fuck. "The saviour of the broken, beaten and the damned" HOLY PIE if that doesn't describe Lucifer and his journey from feeling worthless, angry and broken to a healed, loved and forgiving man. Truly one thing i am happy about is that in this Lucifer's universe Deckerstar are together. Also this show helped me in my personal growth. Love you Lucy and miss you forever 😭
The ending has some inconsistencies and details that I didn't like. I don't think it was necessary for Lucifer and Chloe to be separated for so long, but I guess the show's creators wanted a good dose of drama to close the story. However, the fact that Chloe gives up heaven for love is what really made me cry. She's the only human who isn't in hell because of her sins. She's in hell by choice, because Lucifer is her soul mate and her home.
it's not really inconsistent at all. a tad confusing for the moronic sure but not hard to figure out at all. Lucifer wasn't forbidden to do anything or go anywhere he still could see Chloe and his friends on earth whenever he wanted the ONLY thing he couldn't do was be heavily involved in his daughters life and that was it. it doesn't take a genius to figure out he probably just did what Azrael/Rae Rae did with Ella for all those years and just protected her from the shadows until her timeline could catch up with his.
I'm not one that cries watching stuff, but when I tell you I BAWLED MY EYES OUT....... I fell in love with these characters over 6 seasons and I wanted nothing more than all of them to have a happy ending and by God, I got it.
This moment for lucifer had to be amazing, as for Rory and Chloe it was 20-70 years, but the way that time works in hell that would have been 1000x that. He suffered for about 70,000 years at a minimum missing his detective and daughter, waiting for the day that this knock would finally come
Yes, I think that's what many people aren't taking into account with this ending. Lucifer was alone without Chloe for what seemed to him like thousands of years.

The other thing is Rory can travel to from hell to visit her parents
It sounds hard, but actually it feels like a very comforting thought: Imagine you had a 100% guarantee that your big reward, the thing you desire most will be at the end of your life, as long as you are not straying too far off.
@ottokarl5427 I mean I can't imagine she stayed didn't have sex, I mean what a waste of Chloe never did that again lol. But yeah, agree had the knowledge of exactly where her soul was going for eternity and with who. That had to be a comfort
Lol, she must've been bad to go to hell then.
you could technicly say she was made for Lucifer. she was born because Amenadiel was ordered by god to bless their parents with a child. and Lucifer could be wounded with "mortal" weapons while near the detective (as a state of vulnerability what turned out to be physical and emotionally like love). Amenadiel also found love and became a father. they both had quite some struggles to over come and you could say it was all part of gods big plan@@ryanabate1981

So God allowed people to be tortured for untold millennia so that Lucifer could learn a lesson?

I figure Trixie was just giving Rory her moment alone with her mum, having had her own time already, and was just making tea.
I asked myself if they ever told Trixie everything, but I think after Rory pulls out her wings for the first time, she will learn about it all anyway.

If he did that Rory would never go back in time so he would have never become the healer of hell

@@Dolencd she still hate her dad
@@Dolencd She would have gone to see him after that point. Before that she thought he abandoned her, so she abandoned him right back.
I love that they made Lucifer the savior of lost souls
Me too ☺️👍👏🥰
It's actually quite fitting and it makes sense to the role god wanted him to play from the very beginning
The music guy in the whole series should get a promotion.
A lot of people condemn this show for the title itself, thinking that this show glorifies evil and all sorts if sins, not knowing that this masterpiece speaks for everyone who had their ups and downs in life, regrets, traumas, and all other ill-fated experiences in their lives. Not gonna be ashamed to tell everyone that this show made me shed some tears. Liked the ending where he found his true calling as his name suggests... The Light Bringer...
Yes i was one of those people i love god and the title of this show absolutely disgusts me but i tried watching it and it was amazing I honestly hope this can happen in actual hell for it to be a place of redemption not torture
I like the concept that he just the one who deals out the punishments. He doesn't make you commit the act.
Religion doesn't encourage critical thinking.
I was very late in the game watching this series , but now I'm gutted it's finished . Such a great show with strong characters and Lucifer was brilliant . ..hello detective 😊😊😊
Time to rewatch this show a few more times for the next couple of years. Love it too much to let it go.
I know the whole time travel debacle was why but like multiverse alternate timeline anyone.
But there was never going to be a perfect ending to a show this spectacular and wonderful but this got pretty close thebonly thing to do now is go back and watch it all over again.
I still don't understand why he can't go up just for a day
@@craahwilliams570 Because it is a time loop (or so they claim), it means that if he goes up, Rory won't be miserable, she won't pop into "the future" and find Lucifer's calling, and he won't end up doing what he is meant to do.
It is all very stupid though, he is part of the Arrow-verse, hence time is NOT a loop!!!
@@SlowCheetah007 Thanks for explaining why he couldn't go back up. If he did go back up, it seems like it would be harder for him to leave Chloe and Rory each time.
@@jeannettebrown8460 I agree it might be hard, just take into account this is not the reason they didn't let him visit from time to time.
I love that they end up together, but hate that he missed everything.
@@SlowCheetah007 thx for the explanation
Okay I had no idea of MCR before this because I'm more into pop, but I immediately ran to look for this song at 2 am after I finished and I listened to the lyrics and just letting the words wash over me and I CRIED MY EYES OUT. "The saviour of the broken, beaten and the damned" HOLY PIE if that doesn't describe Lucifer and his journey from feeling worthless, angry and broken to a healed, loved and forgiving man. I'M SO PROUD OF HIM, it's weird to say that of a fictional character but I am. He inspired me to forgive myself, to let go of my past, to reaffirm that I am worthy of loving and being loved. I wouldn't be where I am without this show in my life and I'm so grateful for it.
I only discovered the band and this song in the last month or so, so to hear it here was so surreal in a way lol.
Look up "Helena", too, the song he wrote for his Grandmother.
Mcr is a cult classic. Please dig into their music. Famous last words gets me in the feels.
Welcome to the MCRmy, Killjoy
SING is also a good song . lights up the whole mood
Have just binged watched all 6 seasons and boy what an ending! I have tears streaming down my face as I've always loved a good happy ending and this certainly delivered on that front! A terrific well done to all those involved! 👏
I started watching this wonderful show due to my friend telling me about it and i don't regret it one bit. seeing Lucifer from season 1 to the Lucifer he has grown into made the journey worth it. I loved the scenes and the love story between Chloe and Lucifer. I will admit i bawled my eyes out when they showed Chloe's final moments and then "Welcome to the black parade" began to play and the tears just got worse. All in all it was a good show though I'll never get tired of hearing "hello detective"
Didn't expect welcome to the Black parade from My Chemical Romance 😂
I literally lost myself when i heard Black Parade.
It was all really touching that they chose the most suitable and meaningful song imo and made the absolute best possible ending!!
I won't ever forget this beautiful series and it's final :)
Damn it! Tom should be the next James Bond as we love him:elegant, ironic, intelligent and seductive. Tom is multifaceted and multi-talented.
not happening
Seeing show end was like losing a family member 🥺 I started this series at a turning point in my life and learned alot feom the many messages within the show! I watch the series over & over and I still cry knowing how it will end. Just as we do when we have people in our lives we care about!
Who knew it could end up being so profound? I'm positive it changed a lot of people's perspectives on their lives.
Everything about this final scene was perfect, from the acting, to Lucifer and Chloe’s reunion, to the SONG CHOICE. Welcome to the Black Parade was such a fcking genius pick and the minute I heard the g note, I was bawling
i love the look on lucifers face when he sees chloe, his emotions say it all,he is thinking unexpected but finaly she is back with me again!!!!!
Heaven wouldn't be Heaven for Chloe, because Lucifer wasn't there. Conversely, Hell isn't Hell for them because they are together.
lucifer couldnt risk visiting chloe because of rory, until she finds out
it's not really inconsistent at all. a tad confusing for the moronic sure but not hard to figure out at all.
@Braxton Hawkins trixie has two moms as maze became her second mom with wife eve
I'm not one that cries watching stuff, but when I tell you I BAWLED MY EYES OUT....... I fell in love with these characters over 6 seasons and I wanted nothing more than all of them to have a happy ending and by God, I got it.
“If the Devil can be redeemed, anyone can” hit home and gives me hope. One day maybe Lucifans, one day🤞🏼
This song was the absolute peek of perfection to this splendid ending.
Whats the name of the song
@@argamer4513 It's Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance...
@@PerthTowne if we remember that lucifer said that he was thousands of years in 'florida', while only a few months passed on earth then its probally around one million years, maybe even more.
@@MK-rw1on Yes, it just adds to the sadness of that ending for me. Yes, they reunited in hell after she was dead, but missed out on the life on Earth that they and most of the fans wanted to see them have.
Lucifer is the best series I still can't get over that it's over
Sobbed throughout the entire last half of this episode and I’m still sobbing now
This show never got old or overstayed it’s welcome. Truly one of the best
Lucifer was a very well thought-out story that held me for many months. I'm watching from the beginning to remember the funny moments..
The MCR worked so well there. It's beautiful
"hello detective" reminds me of "hello brother" the last scene of vampire diaries, i am crying
Honestly really like this take on Lucifer and where he ends up.
Perhaps the purpose of Lucifer isn't to torment every sinner. He's meant to save those who can be saved.
She waited a few years but it was millions of years for him down there.
I was just thinking that (just finished watching the last episode). If months on Earth was thousands of years in Hell for Dan, that was a VERY long wait indeed.
