A continuing producing field. Always a great video to watch. Hope your problem is solved. It can be frustrating. See you on the next. Cheers Tony! 🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
Tody i got my replacements V80. Its looking good so far, i was about one hour outside with the machine. Under two big electricity poles and there was almost no interference. I used the 9" Blizzard coil.
Sorry to see the v80 problems still an issue! Is this happening everywhere? Or just this field?? Not much info about issues with the v80 on the Internet. Pity as quest detectors are usually excellent !
I've spoken to a few user having the same issues but not sure how widespread... almost no one is posting anything on TH-cam at the minute. Seems better on some fields than others, but unstable in general... and yep a shame as there's lots to like with the V80.
Does it still misbehave with the accelerometer functions disabled, as I wonder exactly what adjustments that is making as it averages out your swing actions?
I've tried every setting combo and still had issues, and if you are having to turn features off to use a machine then they haven't tested it properly, imho
@@tcDetects Such a shame. It has so much potential. I really want it to be a good machine, I don't mind a chirpy machine if it's just a case of Rx gain is too high, but I really don't think that is what you are experiencing. Hope they fix it with a new update.
@@tcDetects It could be the TX -Power, and if that is the case, it is not the first company that have set a factory settings a bit wrong. TX-Power controls the amount of electromagnetic current from the coil to the ground, I'm not sure if TX-power also controls signal reception.... I think the reception of signal is separated from TX-power and are adjusted on the sensitivity. I would have lowered the TX-Power, set the sensitivity to 79-80 and raised the recovery speed .. ..just to see if Quest engineers could have had a bad day at work when they programmed the factory settings 🙂
the small spool is way quieter, I got it running quiet in my detecting region ( Lots of iron ore and slag in the ground). In my region are a lot of Celtic racing furnaces. I don't get why it shows a 0 score when it detects Iron that's deep in the ground.
I have found a solution to run the V80 verry quiet 😅. The automatic GB isnt good for me. I just set it manually in the menu to about 25-30 and it runs Quiet. In Automatic i get around 75 even when i hold it up in the air, an then it pics up EMI, when i get contact with Gras and even when i swing it to harsh 😡
@@tcDetects That would be nice. I would love to see an all metal mode like on the Q20. But I already contacted them, the Goldmode replaced the alletall mode 😖. I was in contact with quest a lot. I also suggested that they keep the Older Firmwares on the Website and add the Changelogs 😅
Carl at Spin a Disc is absolutely brilliant 👍
Shame the new control box hasn't fixed the problem 🙄
Hope you get it sorted
Carl is my go to detector guy... Best in UK!
@@sundjolle he's great, and they are local to me so I can pop in and see them.
Well Tc, I watched it , well done . I wish you could do two videos a week as I love the Versa ones.
Thanks Jim, and just for you there will be two Versa videos this week!

Now after 12 Days the carbon rod has gotten really scratched up.
The Old version of the carbon rod wasn't that sensitive against scratches😢

Carl has looked after us both from day 1, I'll not shop anywhere else

Look at the Quest forum...
Which Quest forum/where? @@kevinnoel4647
@@tcDetects on the Quest website, there's a forum. I posted same issues as you're experiencing. But no decent update yet. It's been 6 months now...

TX power could bee set to high..... and cause the falsing...
Thanks, though I don't think so as I was using the factory settings...

I will have to give that a try, Quest are also working on updates too
