    I was going to say "too many plastic parts" but you made a good point, Jack. This F150 does have close to 205,000 miles on it.

    I recommend doing this y pipe AND the coolant overflow tank elbow done at the same time.

    I get what you're saying about using OEM but I would have replaced that heater hose with the Dorman one. The metal Y-connector is far more superior than the Ford plastic one.

    Dorman 47294 if someone wants to fix/delete the plastic Y that seems to always fail.

      I would just call it a y-pipe or a y-connector.

      @jackhfletcher is the fordf150 3.7 reliable ?

      From what I’ve seen, it’s a pretty reliable engine. I’ve seen several of these go between 200k-300k miles with little trouble. The one thing I dislike about the 3.7 is that it’s very underpowered compared to the 3.5 Ecoboost and the 5.0

      @MKpp27 yes sir I currently have 220k miles on mine. Heater hose just started to leak and only water pump has been replaced on the truck. Along with reg tune up... but Everything else is still original parts. Regular maintenance on it and I've had this truck with original 11k miles on it back in 2014

    $120 for a heater hose! Even adjusted for inflation, it's crazy! No simply cutting a length one needed of a stock coil of hose.

      Yeah, the prices of some of these car parts has gotten way out of hand. I recently worked on a 2019 Silverado that came from the factory with led tail lamps. Well, the brake light was burned out but you have to buy a whole tail lamp because there are no bulbs to replace. And it costs $800!
