Sorry for the loss. It was a nice looking bird i guess it was beyond repair. I did also see your video of the 47G and its lovely as well. I am working on a Vario R22 (electric) and figuring out how to make the interior.
Been flying RC and helis for quite a while. Low and slow unless just hovering is a bad combination in my opinion. Even with a wind gust a heli that big should be able to handle it. Best of luck with the rebuild.
Aircraft was out of CG. You could tell in every maneuver. Aircraft started to pitch up and forward cyclic was needed in every portion of the flight. The cyclic gain needed adjustment (pitch oscillation). Look at the tail rotor frame rate. If you can’t hear it, you’ll see that the pitch and throttle curves were off. That affects gyro gain. Put all of those together... catastrophe will ensue eventually - throw in a pilot possibly flying out of his element...
Wierd loss of control...was it that strong gust of wind that caused it to flare? I am looking to get this kit or the Cobra but am wondering about mechanics reliability.
Possibly wrong frame rate on servos caused the issue. Heli never felt locked in from the beginning. Not sure what caused the issue, felt like it went into a blade flutter that is common issue with Roban rotor heads.
Dang sorry about that one, hope your back up and flying again, next time just keep clear of any thing that could cause this mistake, it's just funny how that one damn pole was there, if it was not I think you would have had fixable damage.
The exact same thing happened to me once. Due to a gust of wind and a subsequent steering error, I put the helicopter into a tree. By the way, it was the only tree there.🤣
Well at least the mechanics and electronics are easily repaired. It’s fiberglass, just piece it together and tack it together with CA glue and then use bondo to smooth everything out. It is fixable it’s just that you gotta think outside the box to get it done.
@ 4:17 My Butt cheeks would have been puckered so tight that I could have squeezed a penny out of a copper pipe. No fun in crashing a scale helicopter $$$.
That's got to hurt. My boys are always pushing for bigger, better ships on dads dime. I hate asking about time and cost, so if it annoys you, ignore me, my kids do. Such a shame. My 8 year old knows why it crashed. You forgot to put a pilot inside. It may seem morbid but I show them clips like yours. It brings them back to reality. They don't have the time, money nor skill to build it themselves, toss this in and forget it. Airplanes are cheaper, easier to build and easier to fly, especially at their level. I've seen to many helos end up like yours. Best of luck and hopefully your next 1 is successful.
Terrible crash, glad you were the first on scene. Did anyone make it out alive or call 911? (Next time glue a couple pilots and some passengers inside). Well, at least you can scavenge parts from it.
i was hearing the amount of wind on the mic...NEVER FLY A HELI IN WIND. This will be the result everytime. If the weather says anything 10mph i dont fly. Here in AZ wind gusts come out of no where. we only fly in the morning when the winds are 5mph or less. I wouldnt sacrifice any of my robans on something i could of prevented.
You obviously don't fly in wind. I fly in wind all the time and never never had any issues. WIND and/or windy days such as the case in this video have very little effect on an helicopter especially the larger the model. The wind was not the case here. My guess is this pilot was not experienced and or this was his first large scale and like human nature he was a bit scared of it or intimidated by it which is natural and was just getting the feel for it. He probably had an brain fart or his thumb locked up on the stick or he took his eyes off it for a couple seconds and it just got away from him but it was not the wind. Sometimes wind can actually help a heli fly but only if it's an moderate wind. I fly in winds of up to 10 knots which also makes one a much better pilot in the long run and can also help with auto-rotations but you have to know what your doing and pay close attention.
I live in AZ and fly in wind all the time. I have scale helis and pod and boom. When set up correctly, your aircraft will negotiate wind at most reasonable magnitudes.
Fcukkk this is why I prefer a drone..... These big Helios need obstacle avoidance and return to home along with auto stability features. I remember crashing my scale heli, I flew it for 20seconds n the same thing happened. I cried and then jumped on it and flung it across the field went back to my car and did the biggest burn out ever.... Wot a waste... Sorry for ur loss mate.
Sorry for your loss. I once flew my fully loaded TT Raptor into a tree at full speed.

I had The XLV when it came out. You will enjoy the 22!
How do I make a rc heli?
Any idea what happened there?
So sad.., sorry for your loss.
even the crashed huey looks real, sorry for your loss mate .
Sorry my friend !
A lot of time and money lost.
Was a very nice helicopter !
Sounded pretty windy. A big gust picked up when you lost it

Confucius say; poles and helicopters are not a good combination. Sorry for your loss, may it rest in pieces.
Ouch, disorientation?
No, possible frame rate issues with stabilization system.
What's the cause to crashed elevator servo? Pilot error?
possible OMG servo issue, not correct frame rate.
That spot looks familiar. Camarillo?
Yes Sir, Next to the 101 in the industrial area. I have been there recently testing on the weekends in the evening.
At least you didn't have to bust out the body bags and collect remains...
Sorry about the loss of your model

@@Taylormadehelicopter for 2 grand seems like they'd get those sorts of issues sorted out...

I have there airwolf in that size and mine didnt last that long. The suck part is its like pulling teeth to get parts. Sorry for your loss
That's just heartbreaking...
... but the collision sound was fucking hilarious 😂

You don’t tack it together bone head and add bondo for weight. It has to be glassed
Nice model
surface to air missiles are deadly
Nah this was a wind to air missile
That was really mean!
That sounded expensive

☠BLACK BARON☠ Flight Controllers handling wind directions and tail adjustments is a very difficult taskforce in scale flying and "Stability".

That's just heart breaking...
Dude ,man that sux , that was a nice heli
Ugh! That sucks bro! But you obviously have skills to rebuild/repair.
That was painful to watch hope you got if fix pal
Immer gefährlich bei starken Wind wenn Hindernisse in der Nähe sind ist mir auch schon passiert
that why I stop helico ... all explode at the impact
Sounds like the model went slightly out of range of the controller sorry this happened
Went out of the range of the pilot’s ability?
Might be fixable
Looks like the Vietnamese has done it again

สวยงามมาก
Sorry for your loss my jet crashed into my dads car (jet engine)
No… you crashed your jet

Ugh, I fly my scale and non scale helis in the wind all the time sometimes 20mph or better
@@asw850 there was also inproper adjustment... another person said the cg and the rotor frame rate looked off
Bummer
Charlie took you out.
It was the Viet Cong hiding in the grass buddy.

Seem like servo pit problem!!
possible bad frame rate servo's.
Right
Хьюи пал от рук коварных Чарли. 😊
Of course it hit the pole,Charlie Brown's kite eating tree....
Ghost town....
Dayumm !
Wind, need to ..ll
😢
The xk k123 is very real. This is toy.
😔🥲 i feel your auch!
Ah damn. That'll polish out. 🚁💨💨💨💨💨 shame. Really nice model.
