    Thanks. This Wass very informative. I thought they got more and a percentage of the salary for the larger long term contracts.

    Did he not ask for money? Because I feel like an agent would be someone you tip if he’s getting you Nike deals

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No you don't pay him for that stuff. Part of the percentage you pay him. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    What are the most important factors in choosing a team in free agency? Like the city, weather, team success, playing time, etc.

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends. I think everything you listed is thought about. Depends on the player though! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    • @mattpytlak
      @mattpytlak 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It totally depends on the individual player. Some don’t want to play in cold cities, some want to be on a team with a shot at the World Series, and some just want as much money as possible.

    How did you end up on the mlb roster when you were injured for a year? Were you on the 15 day or 60 day DL the whole time? Could they have demoted you to not have to pay you mlb salary? Curious how it all works

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was on the 60 day DL for the entire season

  • @pbennett13

    always thought it was more.. even more amazing then bow these athletes end up broke.
    Still, more leagues and PA’s should educate incoming players on the business of baseball... but you’re doing a heck of a lot Matt! 👌🏾

    Hey Antonelli, can you do a video on your opinion of Tommy John surgery and why players opt for that procedure. You seen players in the minors and spring training with elbow brace and long scars on their elbow. Tommy John chronicles (ex pro player/MLB advisor) it's a genetic factor how the athlete utilize elastic parts of the body

      Antonelli Baseball thanks for answering my question! That makes me gain a ton of respect for you. Now, I must go get you on my team on my old MLB The Show game on Xbox 360, haha. I kick it old school. Thanks again bud. God bless, and have a good day.

      Antonelli Baseball I was going to ask you, but I forgot on another video. So instead of making two separate question and answer sessions, I was just going to leave it here. Did you ever think about going into journalism, Communications, broadcasting Etc? Maybe TV, or sports radio? You have a great personality for it, and a very good radio voice. What about possibly calling games as an announcer or color commentator? Once again man I really appreciate you answering my question above. Have a good one buddy.

      You can reach out as much as you want. They just cannot call you before junior year. But they can tell your high school or summer ball coach to have you call them. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Does every MLB player get paid the same base amount from the baseball card companies? From being on the basic cards. Also, do MLB players get paid again separately for doing the signings for baseball card companies?

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Separately. And I believe they all get paid different. Depends on how good you are I believe. Thanks for watching and commenting!
