I'm loving your channel Patricia. This kind of video is so interesting for me as a British 2nd generation fan, to get a perspective of what it was like for first generation fans in the US. loved seeing all your mags and convention programmes and just hearing you talk about what it was like is fascinating . I also have a slight obsession about American history in the 60s and 70s which is a more recent thing for me (because I wasnt interested in watching the news when I was a kid of course - that was for boring grown ups 😂). Some of the mags were available in the UK such as Record Collector but I hadn't seen most of the others. You have made me feel old by including the 80s as 'the early days' lol as it doesnt feel that long ago even though it was 40 years. Videos were my thing, anytime there was anything Beatles on Tv I would record it on video in the 80s. I also had hundreds of tapes. I dont have a VHS recorder anymore so got rid of them all. Like you say there is more on YT than I could ever record so I dont really miss them. Keep up this great work and congratulations on reaching 100 subs and I hope you get many more. Hope you have received your One Hand Clapping and are enjoying it.

Thank you Tone. I did reply below but it didn’t get attached to your comment. Technogy and old people!

I have been remiss, because I saw this a few days ago, but forgot to write how great this video was ! Loved it !! ❤

Thank you very much. That whole thing is kind of hard to capture. I can’t tell you how glad I am that you really liked it. I am not going to be a record reviewer because others are much more qualified. So, that points me in other directions and I hope everybody likes what I am doing. I appreciate you very much.

I’m from suburban Philly as well, I’m 31 but I play music and have seen Paul 3 times and Ringo once

Nice to know I have a kindred spirit visiting me. I try to see Paul and Ringo whenever they are near too. I did see the Beatles in Philly in 1966 so when you look back later in life you will cherish those concert moments that you had. Thank you for connecting with me and supporting this channel.

Great video, Patricia. Been on vacation and getting caught up on videos. So nice to revisit how we collected and lived The Beatles back in the pre internet days. Brought back a lot of memories. Can’t wait for your next video.

I hope you had a nice vacation. They are always too short. Thank you for continuing to support my channel. It is hard to explain all that but it was the best time.

You know how much I appreciate your support. I could have said and shown more but the bottom line was it was pure fun. I did get to see them in person in 1966 which of course was pretty awesome. It really was the best time to grow up.
No I am not enjoying One Hand Clapping because the damn McCartney site never sends anything to me on release day. Seems like I am always waiting for the Beatles in one way or another! I will be watching your review. Stay well.

I saw them in Philadelphia on August 16, 1966 at JFK stadium named after President Kennedy. It isn’t there anymore. I was 13 and my mom took a friend and I down into the city on the train to see them. Little did we know that Candlestick Park was a few days away and that would be the end of their touring. The Ronettes were there along with a couple of other lesser known bands. It was a constant scream throughout the whole thing as you see in those old concert videos. It was great!

Thanks so much for your video. I guess Im a 2nd generation fan lol, there definitely has been no other group like them. I grew up in suburban Philly too, near the Norristown area. You're right when we look now at the publications from then theyre cheesy, but they were all we had at the time. One book I purchased in the late 70's was Nicholas Schaffners "The Beatles Forever". Well told (I thought) though thru the lens of history its interesting in that it came out not long before Johns death. Thanks again for your channel!

I as m so glad you enjoyed the video. It is all hard to explain really but it was the best time. I finally got to see them in 1966 when it was JFK stadium. I know I was lucky. I grew up in Oreland which was 2 train stops from Glenside which you probably know that town. Thank you very much for being interested in what I am trying to do.

I’d like to hear what your top Beatles related movies are ; I thought I Want to Hold Your Hand by Robert Zemeckis was sweet, and can easily imagine you as one of those teens caught up in Beatlemania ..

That I wanna hold your hand movie captures some of that time. I like that movie too. Maybe I need to get it out and watch it now. But, hands down my favorite is AHDN. So many fun times connected to that movie.
