I love your work!!!
I'd like to say that indeed,Religion is a myth. It's just a way early Roman leaders and other leaders in other cultures ensured conformity and order among their people.
I love how your poetry so beautifully talks about Christianity and the African traditional religion; how we have forgone our Gods and replaced them with a foreign God,who was introduced to us by our slave masters .I find it very ironic and stupid that we so wholly embrace this God,who allowed numerous atrocities to be done to us; this God,regardless of the fact that We pray every Sunday,fast, and cry on his behalf,has done nothing to get us out of this crippling poverty we are in. Indeed,if the deciding factor of a country's wealth was religion, Nigeria and Ghana would have been the wealthiest countries on Earth.
Why do we still hold on to this foreign God??indoctrination from childhood has made it so.as children we're taught "the Lord's prayer" and made to recite it with no understanding . It's a taboo in Africa to question your teachers and elders,and so we stupidly nod our heads to everything the pastor says, even when we don't understand shit.
Isn't it strange that most of the very people who introduced Christianity to us now identify as agnostics and atheists ??surely they have come to some truth.some truth we're refusing to see or accept,since we Ghanaians don't like to be challenged on our beliefs; blind Faith is what I call it.
In the old testament the God of the Bible does some really terrible things that I can't even fathom.;
Numbers 31:17-18 NIV
17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, [18] 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
A God who allows slavery, racism, and rape.disgusting.
