I'm always excited about your videos. The step by step makes me think about doing it my self. Haven't decided on which exhaust yet ,track edition might be a little to much. Thanks for all your good work!!
Thanks Mark, I really appreciate it! The track is definitely loud and aggressive. I drove it a bit today and man I love it. They also sell replacement pipes with mufflers for $799? I think. They slide right in place of the straight pipe on there. Just incase it’s too loud for you. Thanks for watching!
Hey Matt, just finished watching all your videos. Your doing a great job! If you go for headers, my research showed that the company “Long Tube Headers” with the 1 7/8 inch primary’s show the largest gain. It’s a time consuming job, heat shields are the biggest problem but I’m sure you can do it. Check them out. Maybe high flow cats and high flow air filter too. Car launches awesome and your good on the tree but those mods will help on the big end.
Thanks for the info Gerard! My plans are to keep it in warranty for as long as possible as I might be going on my 3rd Transmission. The replacement trans is making a whine noise that the original wasn't. Don't want to give GM any reason to void my warranty just yet as those transmissions cost $11.5 or $13.5 (cant remember) not including labor lol. The car definitely needs some top end though. Once the Channel supports the car and replacement parts then its on! Thanks for watching!
@@RWDC8Z my exhaust makes a rattling/loud noise at low speeds and sometimes cruising. does yours? i think its because my left pipe is touching the frame (even tho i tried to put insulation under it), any tips on how to elevate it higher so its not? i got the touring so maybe it's just heavier?
Nice sound man. Flip flops even better. Lol. Installed sport cats today and afe air filter and 2 quarts of dct fluid while I had everything open. Want to see what your thoughts on the exhaust are while driving
🤣 Florida, it’s all I ever wear. Probably not the smartest when working on cars lol. Friday’s video will have some in/out of car sounds clips. I absolutely LOVE the sounds. It’s a very deep muscle sound. With your sport cats it will probably be even louder. I don’t know if I would want louder than it is now. Friday @ 2pm it’ll be up! Monday and Wednesday this week will be wrap videos. Thanks for watching!
I understand the system emits a tremendous amount of heat. Where is the Heat Shielding to prevent from Frying your systems overtime? (not the shield for the bumper cover) I Love this system and the way it sounded
Ah, that’s what it was. Lo Yea it’s picky 😂. Thanks man, Friday’s video will have some more exhaust clips! Tomorrow will be a wrap video. Thanks for watching!
I just purchased the AWE track edition...@RealWheelDrive now that you've driven it a lot more, is it too loud during cold starts, normal driving, etc or does it tone down some after warming up?
Love it! I’m down in Jacksonville and have a deposit (trying to wait patiently)... I have been leaning on same AWE Track exhaust... looking forward to hearing some drive by videos and inside...curious how much louder than stock? Let’s say for instance stock exhaust is at about a 5 on sound... where would you say the AWE falls? Thanks Brother!
😂 I feel you brother, but trust me it’s worth the wait! I’ve got a video I’m doing now that’ll show you a little bit but after the wrap I plan to get out on the road with Frankie in the GT3RS and get you guys a bunch of sound clips from various angles. If stock is 5 loudness, I’d say this is a solid 8. It’s doesn’t have a high pitch scream like my c7 Z06. This is more of a deep muscle rumble. What’s great is if it’s too loud for you then they sell the replacement sections with muffler for $799 I believe. On cyber Monday we got 15% off and free shipping so it only ended up being $1800 for the track exhaust. Thanks for watching!
@@RWDC8Z just awesome man... can’t wait to see that green. It’s gonna be sick! Appreciate you responding. Enjoy your content man... your enthusiasm comes through on video. Be safe out there and Merry Christmas!
Sounds good, a bit to loud for me. Personally,I would not want to give up to valves to have the quiet mode also. Did you consider putting on hi flow cats? From what I have read, they produce the most HP gain. Great job installing that system in your garage. Anxious to see your wrap. Merry Christmas to everyone .
It’s very loud especially on start up. The sound is so low and deep now. I’ll have a few videos coming up that you can really get an idea of the sound. I didn’t do cats cause I didn’t want to give GM any reason to void warranty. Never had issues with a cat back but headers voided mine for me once. First wrap video will be up tomorrow at 2pm! Merry Christmas Kurt!
Never thought of the warranty issue, I don’t think my dealer would make a big deal about it. Not sure I am going do do anything. Really like it the way it is. Saving my money for Z06 😁
At the 1-minute Mark you're describing how to hold the mechanism while loosening the torque screw this can be compared to the C5 headlights but it is crucial that you hold the mechanism absolutely rigid or you will break the teeth off the nylon ring where the worm runs that gear and it is easily broken like in the headlights of the C5! Good luck because you probably broke yours!
I paid MSRP for the exhaust straight from AWE. Cyber Monday got us 15% off. I paid right around $1800 for the exhaust. Potential saving would be the labor involved with installing. AWE will install for free if you take your C8 to their headquarters. Not sure how much someone 3rd party would charge for this install. It’s a lot involved so I can’t imagine it being cheap. I’ll go over it in one of the next videos. Thanks for watching!
And again at the 2:30 minute Mark you're screwing those brackets on and if it's not held absolutely rigid you will break off the teeth off of nylon ring! Good luck because you probably broke it.
The piece that I screwed on butts up against the bracket. It doesn’t allow it to spin any further when tightening it down. They are still good to go! Thanks for watching.
Awe is just to load for every day, it needs the valves for when you don't want it so load. Also the price of the exhaust is way to much for what you only get.
Rev off with the gt3 rs??? Let's get some likes going on to make it happen guys like this comment for a a Rev off c8 VS gt3 rs

Need paragon performance exhaust modules in place of the motors
You did it! Waiting for the green machine. Sounds great.

Did it cause any engine light to come on with the front valves? Did you have to get it calibrated again?

the upper valves are part of the cylinder deactivation system. the lower valve are for the quiet mode for the performance exhaust.
Ahhhhh, good to know! Thank you!
