They stopped doing what they were supposed to be doing and they stood for the very things that are tearing the world apart right now! Politics were at the core and they sold out like Rod Stewart in the 1980's LOL.

How fortunate we were to young during the 80s & 90s. Looks like it’ll be a long time coming before the world hears the likes of this kind of musical expression again. Life seems to happen in cycles so I hope it one day does bless other generations. But at least that have these and many other timeless classics to listen to and savor.

What makes this performance so much better is the gift of time.... I was 17 when TBC SYMM came out ant it seemed like a storm of Southern Rock that needed to shake up the hair rock of that time - and they for sure did. Now, a full thirty years later, that effort totally stands test of time as the most influential sound of its kind.

I saw this - and taped it (VHS) - when MTV first aired it. I was already a huge Crowes fan and had seen them once after Shake Your Moneymaker was released (awesome show). But when I saw this performance my jaw absolutely dropped. They took things to a whole new level from ‘92-‘97. During that 5 year run they were the greatest rock n roll band on earth. Unfortunately, they were never as purely great after ‘97 once Marc Ford and Johnny Colt left the group.

I remember me and my girl got tickets inside this really cool rock and roll Club North of Detroit. Their first album had just went crazy and they were still doing those clubs. There was probably a total of four or five hundred people in there, and we got a high bar stool table just passed the main floor so we're like the front row 3 feet above everybody else is head, literally only about 30 ft away from this stage and these guys came out and played every damn song on their first album. Even a couple of other covers. I think one of them was a Rolling Stones tune. Everybody thought Chris Robinson was channeling Mick Jagger big time. It was a great night various back when rock and roll needed a real jolt. The canned grunge style was already playing out by '93.

My band unknowingly opened for these guys at the Cavern in Atlanta back in the day.
They billed themselves as Big Gurls.
They were warming up for their upcoming tour.
Atlanta was the scene back then.
Saw Pear Jam at the point with a free ticket.
Metallica at the Cotton Club for 10 bucks.
Music midtown. Three days 30 bands 30 bucks.

Gorman talks about how they didn't even put Rich in the PA live because his stage volume was so loud. I can see what he means here. I can actually feel how loud that is from here. : )
