I have played both. So far we have tried 3 chronicles. I enjoy the base game alone. Chronicles the only one we've enjoyed so far is the River boat one.

Played this game for the first time this weekend and we absolutely loved it! Watched your play through again to check on some rule issues that we weren’t sure about 🙂 very helpful as always. I managed to pickup the landmark in the final round that activated everything and it was awesome!!

I love the casual feeling you are giving off, and even though I kinda wish Naveen was a bit more lively, I think I like your vibe and your dynamics as a couple. Your gameplays are authentic and it shows what smart gameplay can provide towards victory. The only thing that I would love to see more is telling us more about the parts of the gameplay that might put off someone, meaning some negative facts that might give caution for people like me that are still deciding, in order not to have to watch other channels or go to bgg to discover these things. I would like to have them centralized in a channel that I can get all my info, but glad you are not shying off talking about the things that challenged you in the game. So subscribed, and got your channel in my top 3 channels to watch!!!

I forgot to add- I received this game as my birthday gift (huge hints involved) and played it in my birthday and absolutely loved it. I wasn’t doing particularly well - although I did have some sheep income and the Loch Ness location card; so towards the end I did all I could to reduce tile placement and removed some tiles using two different methods- and I won! Those minus 3 points were a major factor in the end. Great game.
We really like the base game, having all the chronicles is a SUPER bonus for us. Excited to try different combinations to see how they change strategy.

@@BeforeYouPlay The Dragon Boats are probably the easiest-to-add + biggest gains (though There Can Be Only One is the straight-up easiest one to add). I suggest it highly.
Before You Play the boat race and the mountain (there can only be one) are the ones we tried and like to play with both expansions. We also added the Nessie expansion as it didn’t add too much to the game. Out of the 3, we like the boat race the best. We hope to try out the haggis and whiskey expansion in our next play. 😁. Thanks for all the play throughs. Enjoyed the Lacerda play throughs. Hope one day, my wife and I will be able to try one of his games.
Seen a few playthrough's of this and yours up there with the best. I agree about Loch Ness card being too strong in 2 player game.If i find similar ones in other games i just remove them.
This game looks like a fantastically playable but still crunchy game. I feel I could play this with people that would normally check out in a crunchy/dry game and they would be super engaged by the tension of who wants what tile and who manages to get it.
Based on this one playthrough, I feel like the game has engine building mechanics but more of a set collection scoring mechanism. I think I'd fall into the trap Naveen did of wanting to make an efficient, wheat-n-stone producing territory, only to be undone by the less mechanically interesting but more lucrative people tiles. I'm not sure this is a bad thing as it means there are a lot of things to keep in mind at all moments, but there is a little bit of a disconnect there maybe. I'm considering picking it up even though I mainly play two player, as it would clearly be better at higher player counts but still looks quite fun. And I think there is an automa deck being produced for the expansion, which could allow a simulated third player along with the die -- I hope the automa influences the clan board and market in a meaningful way.

I just punched my kickstarter version and there are no tiles marked with an "S" like the instruction book lists. How do you know which tiles to start with?
Ok guys so here is my opinion. It's fourth of fifth time I occasionally jump in to see your playthrough. Every single time Monique is just smashing Naveen. This is no fun to watch at all. I am expecting to see some flavour of the game but seeing just one sided game is not the way to go. When it's totally clear around half of video that one player is obvious winner before you can even see the end game scoring is just crap. This means either: one player is obviously weaker OR the game is totally unbalanced... OR you make it on purpose so that Monique is mostly winning. This is not what I am looking for. I checked some other youtubers that do playthrough and I really feel that your videos give quite sqewed overview which simply sucks. I am not judging why but more often than not I am left with feeling that games you show are unbalanced and not for me. Surprisingly the same games I see on others youtubers appeal to me and at least two times it ended in purchase which appeared to be great games. I keep thumbs for you but... Your reviews and playthroughs are totally missing that neutral and balance factor that help me make my decision if I want to play or not. Unsubscribe from me unfortunately.

Played the original at least 50 times and love it. Wasn't particularly enthused by the look of the 2nd game or what the Chronicles offer.

51:45 you would’ve had to sell a stone to get the barley - you can’t have more than 3 goods per tile.
ahh yeah you're right! Miscalculated that since Monique didn't actually put the barley on the tile prior to selling it
