  • COLOUR CHANGES YOU NEED TO KNOW AND REMEMBER.
Outlining the colour changes for the reactions of metal ions in aqueous solution. Colour changes given form Iron(II), Iron (III), Copper (II), Chromium (III) and Cobalt (II) with sodium hydroxide and ammonia. Ligand substitution reactions for copper (II) and cobalt (II) are shown, the oxidation states and colours for vanadium ions and the interconversion between CrO4^2-(aq) and Cr2O7^2-(aq) ions.. As required for Edexcel A-level chemistry.
    Edexcel 15B, 20, 23 and 24.
Iron (II), Iron (III), Copper (II), Chromium (III) and Cobalt (II) Aqua Ions: 00:35
