I lived in a cheap apartment on the other side of the river and had a view of all these mansions and I would laugh to myself thinking they have a view of the cheap apartments.
Also, if you enjoy water sports or just enjoying the river views, the west side is completely shaded by 4:30pm, and the east side is enjoying another hour plus of sun, PLUS the beautiful sunsets the mansions will never see. 👌🏼
Very beautiful. Love the tunnel of all the details. Great idea! I love history so this is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the tour. Nice playroom the historic look is amazing! Just wow. Worth the price
The lawn in the backyard actually has a pool underneath it.That was covered up because the original owner didn't like the location of it and the way it was blocking his view of the river. After he put it in
We have ours from 1993, it has the push button electronic controls, it is brown, I clean it at the end of each season, I store it away in a clean dry place for winter. Still works very well. I don't know if it could cool better, seems good. Is the freon rechargeable?
If I remember correctly I’m pretty sure this was originally the founder of Block Buster Video’s personal mansion and was all the talk back in the early 90’s when they broke ground. Would get quiet the water traffic of local water skiers and boaters. Many people were angry because they tried to make part of the river private access so people couldn’t get too close. Last part was rumor I heard from my old boss when I was 20 as he and family skied that water for years. Dude had a sweet Master Craft. Last time I seen or heard about this mansion was because the Block Buster family sold it or bailed on it after all their locations began closing due to VHS and DVD rentals crashing, thanks internet 😂.
I believe you are talking about Hollywood Video and that house was in West Linn, the guy who owned this house went to prison and left it abandoned, he used to hold big fundraisers here
8:54 The drone shot shows an area with columns that have a lot of greenery growing on top, and then to the left, there’s a little door. What’s behind the door? It looks like an underground tunnel. Does that lead to the front of the house? Very interesting home, I’d actually love a tour by the owners just to listen to the stories behind their collection of items they have. I bet it would take a long time just to wrap, box, and pack up everything.
That is a great question! The house honestly goes on and on and we didn't get the opportunity to explore every room. When they eventually sell it will definitely be a project for the movers! Going to take a few trucks :)
@@MatthewTercek With almost 12M. Why not just buy a cheaper apartment/hotel by the lake river and turn into a mansion instead? A hotel or apartment come many extra bedrooms.
It's a new clientele now. Gone are those who want mansions. I only want 650sqft, 1BR unit, and 100 steps to the beach. I think I'll enjoy the miles and miles of ocean that needs no dollar maintenance more than the 3000 sqft that I have to pay monthly dollars to maintain.
All I see is taxes taxes taxes maintenance taxes and more maintenance in an area where it rains 8 months of the year. Even if I could buy it for cash I’d consider a ton of other options.
It's nice ,but not my style, to many narrow hallways walls after Walls, room to this room, to conjection and crowded , I like to be open , bright an airy this is not, No wonder not sell yet, an is way overpriced
This is a House worth what they're Selling it for. However one has to ask the question why not turn it into a rental after buying it. Cause all those rooms would be perfect for Companies who want to take their employees on vacation. As for living in it thats some Wolf of Wallstreet shit. Lmao 😂

View could be worse!

i always wondered about this house seeing it from my paddle board on the river there.
Glad to have helped out there!
DAVE WENT FROM PRISON TO LIVING LIKE A KING ❤
And back to prison

no way! great info
@@MatthewTercek is the access to the crows nest still hidden behind a cabinet in the laundry room?
Dave is toast. 😂
Nice word play!
It goes to show the great divide now in Oregon. Your either living like this or 1 step from homeless if you aren't already. Unbelievable
cuz if you're fake rich you're too stingy to pay the income tax there
Very few homes like this one ☝️

Very nice house. I wish we could see the bedrooms and the built in basketball hoop
It was incredible! Wish we could have showcased those as well

The house was dilapidated at that time, they totally restored it from then to now.

@@MatthewTercek It's no secret, these greedy sellers, scam artist realtors just love to manipulate Housing Market price!!
It will be interesting to see what it trades for next!
You should do the old pump facility that is down the river from it. 7 stories. Its wild
That'd be an amazing tour!

there is definitely a trend amongst some towards that very thing!
Been in that home did some work in theater
Legit!
That's not a house, that's a castle!
Basically!
11.5 is the bargain of the century.
Good thing rates are trending down!

It’s not for everyone but at $11M you’d certainly have options
Only in America, from incarceration to luxury
Really cool story!
looks like another Californian MC Manson to me
Could be!

geez rich people get so ironic with their money. spending millions to be surrounded by tacky, stuffy, uncomfortable environments
Replace that tetanus trap of a diving board.
