Utsav Lal, raga & jazz pianist concludes his performance for Old First Concert series on Nov 3rd,2019 with a Raga Bhairavi composition by his guru, Dhrupad maestro Ustad F. Wasifuddin Dagar titled "Tu Hi Brahma, Tu Hi Vishnu" , set to a 10 beat cycle called sooltaal . The piece is presented with original improvisations and an introduction inspired by Lal's diverse influences with various other forms of improvised music.

I like it, but somehow I feel I shouldn''t.
Maybe the piano doesn't sound as "exotic" as I would want,
whereas a sitar, surbahar, rudra vina, sarod, or santoor does.
