Today I have another video from Mexico City for you. I filmed this episode in my first week in Mexico. It's been almost three months now since coming to Mexico and feels like ages since I was in CDMX. Can't wait to go back there and see for myself whether the city is more busy now or not. Next time I am also going to shoot some film episodes over there.

Always a great pleasure to watch your videos, Futher more when it's in Mexico.
It has been years since I was Mexico City and I was astonished that it both looked familiar and yet different , which is not really strange , when you consider how long it has been since my last visit . There was much more similarity I thought with European cities now than before and the pandemic properly accounts for this is some part .
I liked the shots you took very much and the red filter enhanced the photos perfectly .
The thing with digital is that it will often produce smoother looking images than film . That said , there was still a timelessness because of the monochrome and will no doubt had to its intrinsic historic value in the future . Images of society at this time are going to be a magnate to historians and society at large , so thank you for producing them and sharing the video with us.
„These little pockets of light“ loved that expression. Very often it seems you are wearing a Tarnkappe, your objects seem not realize being photographed. Very exceptional. Many try a similar behaviour, but very few succeed. Respect!

The first of your favourites stands out to me. Just as you wondered what she’s thinking, I had an emotional response. Why? I can’t quite put my finger on it. And that’s what draws me to a photograph of an unknown person.
So many nice shots as usual. Such a nice city for street photography. Thats where my other favourite Streetphotographer used to live, a fellow countryman, Frederik Trovatten, he has many videos from Mexico City also.
I think the one with the guy walking in front of the door is my favorite as well! great shot

Nice little episode Robin. I actually liked a shot you did not include, one of the earlier shots of a guy on the back of a car with his arms on the side looking at you and there is a guy under him also looking at you. Its between that shot and your favorite as well the guy in the light walking :) Now after watching this early breakfast im going into Stockholm city to shoot either Fm3a with film or Leica q-p, have not decided yet. Easter wont be too crowded but might offer some fun easter looking moment perhaps ;) Auf wiedersehn / Martin the Swede.

@@therealsirrobin Thanks, yes i have been lucky to acquire a few of the cameras i always wanted, and was very lucky again finding it in mint from a seller here in sweden. When shooting film the 3 favorite cameras i use currently for street photography are that, the Rollei 35 S and the FE2. I have yet to master zone focusing as well as you do though, today i was actually out with my Leica Q-P and i did some zone focusing on that and it seemed i always had to tweak the focus even though i tried planning and some focusing ahead lol....ow well:)

@@harisferi4237 yes, I once owned an M9 but only for a short while before I moved to Fujifilm. I have owned a succession of Fuji’s over the years and am now using an X100V & an XF10.

Another fantastic episode, you make it look so easy. I gave it a shot recording a POV style video and after a whole day editing it's still pretty bad. I must practice some more.😀

Thank you! It's takes some practice but I've been doing it for a while and at one point it felt very natural to go really close. It gets harder if you want to get no attention while being really close.
perfect. always love your shorts. The shoot that i'd prefer instead of all would be this 3:05 if you had taken it from another angle, sufficient for the guy behind be entirely on the picture. Instead, my favorite one is from the guard.

Since have been using a red filter, have you experimented with yellow or orange? Also, perhaps down the road you could put up a video on your personal technique for processing your Q2M images?

Excellent shots once again. Iike them all. Any chance of a bit of advice. I have a roll of portra 160 35mm but my canon 7 only goes to 100 asa or 200. Which should i use.
You can shoot in manual and forget about the light meter but if you want to use it then better set it to 100.
Inspired by you, I got my Q2M. It is a unbelievable camera. 2 questions to ask. 1. What filter do you use in overcast weather? 2. Do you found some white noises using high ISO?
Great! Hope you are still enjoying this incredible camera! I guess pretty much all of them have the white dot issue but according to Leica there will be a firmware update coming that should take care of it. On overcast days I am still using the red filter. 🤣
@@therealsirrobin just updated the firmware 1.1 of Q2M, but the white dot issue has not been changed. Tears...
Updating the firmware alone doesn't fix the issue, you also have to run the Pixel mapping feature. Have you tried that? Haven't done it yet but from what I've read it seems to work just fine.

You ran for the guy wearing white but you should have got a photo of the couple crossing the road and holding hands as you turned around too!

Mostly zone focusing.

Don't get nervous it's all good. People need to get on with their lives and this whole nonsense needs to end asap.
