Here's my opinion on betting in sports..there are too many Damn adds and commercials, promoting sports betting, if they don't want the athletes to bet, then maybe they should screw off with the constant promotion of it. It's getting outta hand and annoying, every time i try to watch a game, its all you see. On intermission shows..i can hardly watch intermissions anymore, between back stabbing two face Ron McLean and the sports betting promotions..its getting ridiculous. Im not sure how they are gonna be able to control who bets, eventually. They will never dial it down or get rid of it altogether, because the Almighty dollar is all they care about..as long as they make a buck, by promoting the crap, they'll keep doing it more and more.
They feel Necas is a budding star lol??? Is that why they gave him 3rd line minutes without any PP time?? That’s the way they value a 25 year old budding star lol!! Cmon’
Any Habs trade really only makes sense if they are acquiring a young (27 or younger) somewhat established forward with top 6 potential for a young somewhat established middle pair defender (L shot unless Barron) and a young middle 6 potential forward. Harris or Barron ideally, I like Mallioux a lot and think He and Xhakej will make a great D-pair. In the AHL both scored goals, laid crushing hits, will fight, have big bodies and a good first pass. They are a great playoff type pair to punish teams over a series, they likely top out as 3/4 defenders but I see a path where they could both be #2’s, tho unlikely
They should change the name of "The Saddle Dome" to "The Saddle Sore". We were all rather shocked when Shane Pinto became embroiled in the betting matter as he is a really good guy and very well liked by fans and fellow players but I'm glad he didn't bet on hockey and then get suspended for life...that would be so Senators like. They would have to trade Shea Theodore, probably Ivan Barbashev or William Karlsson, Braden Mcnabb, and/or maybe Trevor Connelly or their 2 2nd round pick because their clearly don't have their 2025 or 2026 1st round draft pick lol
