The rest of the ladies were real quiet during this because this was a true clash of the titans, the two alphas of RHONY. Everyone knew the falling out was real life.
Still hard to pick a side…Beth is funny/likeable(to a point lol)but carol was honest/direct(to a point again)…. Which sways both story’s but as you have said that was real life, but the twist was which one would have sunk the other first 🤷🏻♂️
@@madmarty12 I love bethenny but Carole would have sunk her hard and fast if Andy wasn't protecting her. Carole is very good with her words, can keep her train of thoughts and remember things. That's why Bethenny was threatening to leave the show and Andy had to be biased towards her to make her stay.
I honestly love them both and i always thought having both of them on the show was perfect. My problem with both of them though are the same, they both act like they are untouchable and "above it all".

During one of Carole's seasons her storyline was that she was procrastinating and continually failing to meet deadlines for the one project she was working on (her book) - I would agree with Bethenny that while she is a writer she didn't really have a current career where she was pursuing opportunities. She was actively avoiding them so she could chill and not work and made it part of her narrative on the show...

Yeah, when she said that, i knew she'd be gone. Andy later revealed the reason she left was that Bethenny demanded she wanted Carole to apologize to her backstage after the reunion or else she wouldn't come back to the show. Carole did not want to apologize and so they let her go instead.

How come Carole was never held accountable: she wanted the friendship to be over, she was 100% cold that season, Carole bashed Bethenny online every chance she got, and she treated Tinsley.
My favorite moment is when Carole tells Andy he's full of shit to his face, knowing full well that Andy, the vindictive lil worm that he is, would fire her as soon as she exited the dais. I think he was genuinely shocked she stood up to him.

They protected Bethenny moreso than anyone else, let's be honest. They even let her off the hook for the bit of the contract that most other housewives have to abide by; to give Bravo a cut of any business that gets promoted on the show. That sort of power is the reason why everyone ganged up on her.

I like Bethenny but she was jealous of Carole's new friendship with Tinsley. Bethenny missed Carole and she got angry when Carole didn't reciprocate those same feelings! I can see how Bethenny can be that friend that drains you emotionally- Carole just needed a break!
Betheny pretty much admitted the jealousy thing towards Tinsley. What annoyed me is that carole was like we aren't even friends it's all the show, you can tell that hurt Tinsley feelings.
This fight was a reality check for Bethenny. At the time she was the “It Girl” of NYC for years and a lot of people were all over her and wanted to be her friends so her ego was getting out of control and that’s why she lost it when she realized Carole wasn’t gonna chase after her and beg for forgiveness Bethenny came off very desperate and needy towards Carole and she did the most to try to make Carole feel bad but it wasn’t working. Honestly I completely understand the way Carole handled the situation i’ve had manipulative friends before and dealing with them is overwhelming they think you’ll feel bad if they act like a victim and get emotional but it, not knowing that this behavior will only push me away from them. Too overwhelming honestly people have lives of their own you can’t just demand attention even it’s from a close friend it’s not fair to them

I'm sorry Carole fans, but Carole was never fully able to say what her problem with Bethenny was. Until this day she never explains, she just says it was little things that became something big. She never brought up how she felt about their friendship and kept it to herself, which blew up when they had this fight when they were no longer super close. So, Carole has fault for not talking about how she felt.
Imo, Carole probably felt that she and Bethenny were always subtly competing, and she felt that this guy was another competition. Carole felt she was right about this guy bc he was not fully honest, so she felt she had won the "competition" and got upset that Bethenny wouldn't admit defeat, but actually, Bethenny was trying to help set them up.

It's not about the guy. Bethenny is super emotional and sensitive. You can tell she truly loved Carole and is deeply hurt by what she sees as Carole's lack of trust in her, and how she didn't value their connection the way Beth does.
Carole maybe loved her alot but probably couldn't handle how needy B was. It's not about power or boys, it's about the pain of a loved one rejecting you.
I seem to remember that Bethenny wanted to be put in contact with Carole’s friend (quite desperately for business dealings) Carole’s friends’ husband had passed away so Carole was staying with them during the summer between filming seasons. I think. Carole thought it was inappropriate of Bethenny and they had a disagreement before filming. The rest is on camera. However, I imagine this gave both Carole and Bethenny some rocky ground to start the season.

I actually don't even think it was about the guy for Carole. It was about "competition", she felt that Bethenny was constantly trying to one-up her all the time, but she never said anything to her. Instead, she let those feelings fester and eventually started playing into the competition which probably didn't cross Bethenny's mind. So, she was ultimately competing by herself, and of course, Bethenny was caught off guard when all her true feelings came out.

That statement means nothing really. Millions of people are in expired relationships. She got out and her daughter is living with her full time even though she shares 50/50 with her ex. That should tell you something about him. He stalked her to the point she got a restraining order on him. Why do people hate her so much? She’s sharp, funny, crazy, business savvy a philantropist and sensitive. Carole turned out to be a quiet manipulator and gladly threw Tinsley under the bus knowing she wouldn’t come back and maybe Tinsley wasn’t whom she’d continue to associate with. The way Carole shut Ramona down when they spoke about the election showed how arrogant she really is.
I feel like this is when Bethany stopped being so cool. She was called out to the point were , looking back, her behavior was just gross.
This makes me sad ultimately. This show changes people and as much as I love and will always support Bethenny, she's no exception. She revives the franchise anytime she chooses to return which is clear why she is favored. I'd favor my ratings and cash grabber too, but it still sucks their friendship broke down.
I wish it wasn't true she demanded an apology from Carole, wielding her power, basically throwing a tantrum backstage after this. Carole is also guilty though. She's just as much a narcissist as Bethenny, she just plays it off better since she's less emotional and anybody with two eyes as she says can see it.
I think what broke the friendship for Carole was that Bethenny crapped on Adam, who was very special to her regardless of being broken up. I can understand to a point. I dumped two of my best friends for my bf because they went over my head and invited him out for drinks. I considered it disrespectful and slithery... they didn't apologize sincerely and I now keep them at a distance.
Hopefully these two can makeup. From the looks of it. Carole tweets alot about the show still or retweets. You can tell she hasn't let it go fully. I'm sure Bethenny is bitter too.
