This I LIKE! I have heard of the Tehachapi line through the desert, and even seen one or two videos of it that piques my interest. I even looked for the loop on Google Earth! But this video really does it justice. The sequence with the loop itself was fascinating. I can't wait for part two.
Great catches! This is the best railfanning video I've ever seen! You used great angles, and I love the little details you caught like the engine start-ups at the beginning. Thanks for sharing! -Cam
The "Blue Flag" is to warn people(other railroad employees) that there is a work crew somewhere on this train. Once a "Blue Flag" is placed no one is allowed to move any part of the train or blue flag. The only person who is allowed to remove the blue flag is the person who placed it. Sort of like "Lock Out Tag Out"-----Justin
Quiet zones. The city would request the railroads to not use their horns but use their bells to help keep the noise down. Mainly found near residential areas
The loop is just mindblowing!

I'm late but it said STOP because if no one stops well they will die and if they do survive a train or car/truck crash
They will go to federal prison
