    Taking a look at the new PrimeVibe from Double Alpha this week. I got this so that I can load primer tubes while doing something else. Turn it on, go away and come back to a full tube!! Great little tool to add a little more automation and hands-free to the loading work flow. This should save me a few seconds, and that make me happy!!
    Thanks for watching and have a great weekend. Stay safe with the storm season still upon us!

      I like it!! Going to work great for my flow of work. Turn on, do something else, come back with a tube ready to be put to work!
      Yeah, Tim, if I could find a way to bottle my energy, metabolism, and work ethic, I could be a billionaire 🤣 Everyone would want a piece of my drive. Once I get going in the morning, I don't stop till I lay down to sleep for 5ish hours a night. Then do it all again the next day. Really need to film myself at work. See me get pulled in 4 directions at once, on 2 phones at same time and talking to 3 people in person. My days are full and always hectic. But.... I get a lot of stuff done everyday, so that makes me happy!! Help as many people as I can every day is the goal.
      Thanks for watching, Tim. Have a great weekend!!!

      This is a cool one, Tony! You can actually set it up, dump in a pack of primers and walk away from it. Come back to a full tube and ready to go on seating them!!
      I think I will like this a lot.

      Hey, CW! Yes, I am quite pleased. For me, any way to go hands free and allow me to get one task done while doing something else is a massive win. So far it has been spot on dropping the correct orientation, so that is a good win. I like this much more than the other one I was using.

    Very cool Chad. I'm looking into something like this, tired of manually loading the tubes. I'm looking at a little cheaper version, the Frankford Arsenal one. Good reviews from everyone. Keep us updated on the use of this one. I like this as you can set it somewhere and just dump in the primers. On a side note how long have you been reloading now? Thanks man, always look forward to your vids, no BS.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good to see you again, Alex! I also looked at the Frankford one. It's very similar to the Double Alpha hand held one. Works well enough. It does take some finesse to learn the right way to hold everything so it fills the tubes smoothly. If you don't use those type just right, it can take longer than single picking up manually 🤣
      This is what I wanted this for. Dump in, turn on, go do something else. Come back and tube is full and ready to go!!
      I started a little reloading in 2021. Mostly just learning about it. Then got more into over the winter as I got my PRS rifle load worked up. Now I use my own ammo in matches and can trust it a good deal more than factory stuff!
      I dive in deep when I learn something new. I am happy to help any way I can, so feel free to ask me anything. If I know the answer, I will tell you or make a video showing you something. I like to be helpful!!
      Thanks for watching! I hope you have a great weekend! And stay safe if you are in the areas these tornado storms have been going thru!!

    I have the other Double Alpha primer reloading tool, the one that clicks alot…thing works damn well, have you tried that one also?
    Also, have you tried out the Dillon primer tube loader contraption, it looks like this new DA loader.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the little square PrimaVibe thing. I think that's what you are asking about? I showed it towards the end here. Little orange box with button on the back side?
      It works alright, but I found with the tubes I am using it takes a little finesse to get the primers to drop into the tube. Have to hold it just right to have the opening centered in the drop hole. This new one lets me go hands free, which is something that appeals to me more. Dump in some primers, turn it on and go do something else. Come back to a full tube ready to use!!
      I have not tried the Dillon version. I imagine it is very similar. I assume that Double Alpha used that as inspiration and tried to fix any quirks that Dillon tool has and release their own version. If I can get my hands on one, I will do a comparison between them. But, this new one is working well in my initial testing that I won't be buying the Dillon just to compare 🤣🤣 I'll ask around and see if anyone I know has one I can borrow though!
      Thanks for watching another of my videos! I do appreciate you stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend and be safe if you are in the path of any storms. It's a wild year for tornados and hail it seems!! See you on the next one!

    I'm about to buy a Prime Vibe to replace my RF100 (one of 2 I have, small and large) that I was using for small primers and was almost impossible to tune. I ended up breaking it. I hope this is the last primer handling device I have to buy.
    Quick question, I notice you have an AMP Mate in the background. Are you happy with yours and is it easy to change calibers or a pain? Debating getting one for when I anneal larger batches. Thanks for the vid, I subbed.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @shootloadrepeat Thank you! I am liking the Prine Vibe. In the first 300, I had 1 wrong ways in the tube. Turned the frequency down a little and smooth since. I load with a CPS, so was easy to notice the upside down one. But, with the know control it is very easy to dial it in. Low 90s seems to be the sweet spot. I can check my current setting if you need help, but try it in the 90 to 93 range. I think 92 something is what went fast enough for me and keeps proper orientation.
      As for the AmpMate. Yes! I will admit, inital set up is a little weird, bit after that it is easy. Once you see how each part operates, making changes is easy. I run some brass for a buddy and I just got a sharpie and made lines on the case feeder drop tube where my brass feeds well and another for his. So quick loosen a knob, drop the height, tighten and set his AMP code and run. I dump in like 200 and go wash dishes or do yard work. Come back and they are done.
      There is a lot of tweaking at first, but once you find the sweet spot, it is worth it to be able to let it run and not have to watch it. Only reason I got an AMP was to be able to hands free this job and allow me to do something else with that time.
      Happy to help if you need any other questions answered as you get those items in and start setting them up.
      Have a great weekend, and I hope to see ya more!!
      I'll check your channel also and sub!

    Does the length of the tubular base serve any purpose? Could it be shortened without losing function?

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @stvnchng4755 The larger cylinder connecting the base with the bowl at the top?
      I can look at it when I get home to see if it's removable. All comes out of the box as a single unit.
      The only issue I can think of from memory, would be you would have less room for the primer tube.
      I think that is to give clearance so the tube fits into the bowl at the top and hangs straight up and down.
      I had to cut one of my tubes down a little because it was too long to fit into the opening.
      If that is what you want to know about, I can take a look this evening at home!
      Let me know!!

    • @stvnchng4755
      @stvnchng4755 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @stvnchng4755 Ok, back home!
      So, yes, there are 4 screws holding the center upright to the base.
      A few set screws at the top to keep the bowl assembly in place as well.
      In theory, it could be disassembled and shortened or whatever you have in mind.
      If you need pics, let me know and I can take a few and make a community post or film a short for you.
      Hope this helps!

    I bought a used one from double alpha but the tray barely vibrates, I noticed a space between the speaker and tray, do you have a space or does your tray sit directly on the speaker?

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @dan944 hmm, I will have to look at that. I don't know what the speaker would be on it.
      Did the used one you got come with the controller? That has the dial to adjust the frequency? I twisted on that and found the sweet spot. Around low 90s for me. 90.5 to 92. Too fast and they fall off the ledge, but too low and they move too slowly for my liking.
      Sounds like yours is set on the initial, lowest frequency. Barely moves at that setting.
      Let me know if you don't have that. I will try to look at mine tomorrow evening and see if I can tinker with it and find what might be causing your issue!

    • @dan944
      @dan944 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ChadKelly7There is a gap between the two, I do have the controller and when I change the frequency it doesn't make much of a change in the vibration. I may just have a bad one. , I'll have to call them, thanks for the fast reply.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @dan944 I will check for a gap between the top tray and the platform upright section.
      I think it sounds like something maybe wrong in the controller or the motor in the main unit. That knob should make a very noticeable change in how much it vibrates!

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @dan944 I just checked. There is a gap there. A few millimeters. I filmed a short, it's not public, but I can send a link if you want. Tried to show that.
      The low 90s do the best. Higher than 93 barely moves them, too high. Lower than 90 move too slow for my liking.
      Check how yours is mounted, make sure a good, solid surface like wood bench top.
      Trying to think of things to check and try to find the problem.

    Ok video but I really don't see a need for a tool like this. Loaded 900 primers into both Dillon and DAA tubes yesterday and that took me about 20-25 minutes. I have a FA Vibraprime that sits on s shelf as it's more of a pain using it, and getting flipped primers, than poking the tubes on my primer tray.
    Thanks.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      O yes, totally not necessary 🤣 But I like to check out new gadgets. For me, this is nice. Able to get it on and go do something else for a minute or two and come back to a tube ready to go. I am always bouncing from one thing to another, never staying still long. I gave up on chairs and stools several years ago. I found the time wasted sitting down and standing up did not suit me. I get up in the morning and never sit down until bed time.
      For how I like to do 2 or 3 things at once, this should work for me. Long term, I'll see if it's actually worth it or just another useless gadget to waste money on. I will update after further use! I have the Dohble Alpha thing similar to the FA, and it's more hassle than it's worth for me.
      Thanks for taking a look at my video! I appreciate it. Have yourself a great weekend, Edward!!

    Just got mine and it will not hardly move the primers at any setting. Full 4min and I have 40 primers that haven't moved. I'm not liking this thing very much.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @wallacelee368 Interesting. It has been flawless for me so far. I can try and help diagnose if I'm able.
      When you adjust the frequency, can you hear and see the vibration of the bowl change? It should be very obvious that it's changing. From a low, slow buzz to a higher pitched sound like a little chainsaw.
      I am about to head home from work, I can set it up and try to describe that better.
      Is it on a solid surface? Like nothing soft that might absorb some of the vibrations?
      If it's not changing frequency, likely an issue with the motor or the controller. If you were in southwest Oklahoma I would want to try my controller in your unit and your controller on mine. See if we could figure out which component has the problem.
      I have the best luck in the low 90s, like 91 to 92 if memory serves.
      Happy to look more in a bit when I get home! Let me know. I like it, so I want to do what I can to help others enjoy theirs.

    • @wallacelee368

      @ChadKelly7 I can hear the change at all frequencys it's on a 1/4 steel plate table. I literally got it in today. I'm in tuttle.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @wallacelee368 A few hours away, lol. I'm down in Altus.
      Just basic ideas, have you tried unplugging the controller from the main unit and back in after a minute? Make sure there was not a bad connection.
      So, it's noticeable when the frequency changes by sound, is the bowl changing how it vibrates? You should be able to see it moving faster as it goes up in the way it vibrates.
      Using large or small primers? I am just pulling away from work, so I can take a look at mine in a few.

    • @wallacelee368
      @wallacelee368 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ChadKelly7 I haven't tried to unplug it and reconnect it. It definitely changes its sound but it sounds really weak throughout the range. I'll play with it a little more I have till Monday I emailed Daa hopefully it can be resolved quickly. If not I still have my Frankford arsenal primer tube filler. Also tested small primers.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @wallacelee368 Seems like motor might be not spooling up in response to the frequency change.
      Was gonna set mine up and film a short real quick so you can see.
      Was gonna say, Double Alpha been great at responding to emails for me, so I have no doubt they will resolve this if it is a faulty unit!
      I also have the Double Alpha version of that Frankford filler. I could never get it lined up right so primers fell smoothly. Spent as much time as stabbing them and still occupied my hands.
      I like this one because I can turn it on and then set up priming tool and get brass ready, then primer tube full when I'm ready to start!
      It's great when it does what it's meant to do.
