    I ordered one last week for my Hornady. I have Dillon’s on my 650 but it is annoying to get an alarm when no case is present.

    In my opinion your powder checker sucks. First off when I ordered it it didn't come with a battery they basically accused me of stealing the battery and asking for another one for free. When I finally got the battery and followed instructions the damn thing didn't work nobody wants to take it back screw it I have it sitting on my reloading bench for 8 months I bought a $20 3D printed powder check that works fantastic😂

    I have a Dillon 650 with its own exclusive powder check. I also have the Hornady LnL progressive. I purchased the double alpha powder check for the Hornady. As I was installing I find that DAA die is to long and touches up against the shell plate there by I can't screw any further before the pistol plunger can touch the rim of a 9mm to activate the reed switch. Is there a solution. I could shorten the die, but that would void the warranty or any chance for a return. I could also make the pistol plunger longer so it comes in contact with rim of the 9mm casing. The platform combined with shell plate on the Dillon is thicker. Whereby the plunger would contact the casing sooner. The Hornady subbase combined with its shell plate is thinner. Whereby the travel has to be longer for plunger and reed switch to operate per the video instructions.

      I’m having the same problem. Plus, it splashes powder onto the shell plate when the shoe/plunger goes down into the case.

    This looks like a great powder check. Compared to Dillon, the best feature here is that it doesn't beep at you when there is no case coming through which is super annoying and trains you to ignore the beeping. Looks like it operates smoother too, the Dillon tilts back and forth with each pull. I'll have to give one of these a try.

    Gonna buy two and set one up permanently for rifle so I don't have to mess with resetting one up for both rifle and pistol.

    I’ve noticed a few things l. For one, DAA doesn’t answer any comments lol. And two, it’s February 2024 and I just bought mine and it didn’t come with the sensitivity sensor so I’m guessing they sent me their old one thinking I won’t notice. As for the beep , I’m having it too but I think I’m gonna try something today which is to back it down from the trigger and see if that fixes the issue. Wish they just had info for all of us so we can solve these things. Mine also picks up some of the powder and dumps it onto my shell plate which is annoying. If anyone figured out what sort of substance to put to it doesn’t stick to the powder let me know

    takes a few minutes to get dialed in but this thing is awesome (v2). when ur adjusting the magnet make sure the rod is hitting the powder. works well on a 750 and the powder bar clears just fine.

    Why does it collect powder at the tip and then dumps it? All over the shell plate, and the nooks and crannies of my machine. I’m running a Dillon XL 750. I bought two of these units, thinking man this is great but now I don’t powder sticks to the bottom of the brass tip then drops the powder all over the place .

    I get false alarms about every 10 loads or so even when the powder is spot on exactly where i want it. Im constantly having to verify powder charges manually. I have tried adjusting the weight numerous times to where it wont sound and it still either beeps consistently or throws a false alarm. Im probably going to switch to the dillion and deal with the empty station beeps.

    • @meat_popsicle69
      @meat_popsicle69 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why doesn’t mine have the sensitivity adjustment?

    • @agracer1000
      @agracer1000 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK, looks like you don’t sell the version with the adjustable sensitivity setting. I’m setting mine up now with 5g of CFE pistol for 9 mm, It would alarm on a low of 4.4g and high of 5.4g. That seems like a pretty big difference.

    • @CompShooter54
      @CompShooter54 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@agracer1000 I was thinking the same thing. He says the minimum sensing range is about 2.5mm which is HUGE for a 9mm case. That's about 1/8 inch in powder column height. It might be OK for no charge or a double charge but it can also be dangerous as you mentioned. I also noticed that AA doesn't answer any questions. I'm going with a manual reader like an RCBS.

    wow all you people can reload now where i'm located can't find any powder and primers and they will not ship to Alaska at this time have been finding factory loaded ammo but at high prices.

    • @someguy3711
      @someguy3711 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alot of these people were likely reloading off of already on hand supplies they had, you can look at trifusiontactical.com/, they are offering powder shipped currently are pre-ordering primers(non magnum though) which are supposed to start shipping out august to september .
      One point of annoyance is the high costs of components as all are in large bulk quantities, with no small scale offer really. Ie 5000 primers is nearly $800 or the 22lb powder container for $925.
      However till the supply chain online is sorted out, this or getting lucky at your local gun/outdoors shop might be your only choice for reloading, not sure if they ship to alaska though. From the website
