In a dramatic twist on The Young and the Restless, the CBS soap sees the exit of popular character Trevor St. John, who played Tucker McCall. This departure comes shortly after his co-star's exit, adding to the upheaval at the show. Legacy characters, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott, return to the town to meet their older sister, Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin).
The storyline explores their complex family dynamics, including Katie's resentment towards Claire, who she blames for a house fire. This week also brings back Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), in honor of Joshua Morrow's 30th anniversary as Nick Newman.

I just have really enjoyed his energy. His quirkiness, his sarcastic comments. His Tucker has been a breath of fresh air. And even if they give him villain stories, you love him. A good villain is one you can’t help but love. Will miss him. Sad.

This whole Tucker firing is just plain stupid. The Tucker character provided fresh energy and sex appeal. Instead Y&R reverts back to the tired energy of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Enough of Victor and Jack and a stupid feud that's been going on for 30+ years. I'm also not a fan of Audra, why not fire her???

Don't care about Victoria's kids. Funny how Lily runs to her child when there's a fire at her school but when the Abbot children's home burns down and they lose everything, their mother tells them in a phone call?
The actress playing Lilly went on maternity leave, thus the difference.
@@Andranetteras But her pregnancy was not written into the story. Her maternity leave was explained by her visiting her daughter because of a fire at her daughter's school. The writers could have had Victoria visiting her children even overnight or for a couple of days but they didn't.
I’m so sorry to see Trevor St John leave Y & R! I thought he added great pizzazz to the show. Also, great chemistry between other characters. Hope to see him in the near future. Good luck to you Trevor😀

He was cast as head of a huge business , but hanging around a bar, or restaurant. He needed a meatier, much richer role. Really bad writing for such a talented actor. He's not the only one. Get a new writer!!!!

The other Soap he played Todd Manning, Who turned out to be the real Todd Manning Twin brother named Victor on the One Life To Live. I Loved Him on OLTL, The Writer's Wrote Great! For Him to show How Much Of A Great! Actor He was. Especially! Playing a Villian.
Trevor was one of the few reasons I watched Y & R. I have a feeling I won’t be watching much during the summer with all the children. Ugh! Come back Tucker!!! 😢😢😢
So sad to see Tucker go, but he never really had a good story line. They need to get rid of the 2 Daniels and Heather. They bring nothing to the show.
The show is called Young and the restless, bring on the young people with good story lines, let them get into what young people do, not this mental health stuff

Y&R does not like to keep good characters around, first both Ashland's and now Tucker. The writers need to give Devon & Abby and Mariah & Tess, and Mamie, Audra a nice long vacation.
Belynda, your take on TSJ's performance is spot on. Any scene he is in has my full attention. Why do the writers and powers that be not see talent and run with it, promote it, is beyond me. This is a HUGE disappointment. I do love how he didn't pussy foot around and let the fans know he's gone. And did so very cool, I must say! Not, I'd love to come back, I'm available, etc. He played the part. Didn't mention if he's leaving on his own or they just wrote him out. That's pretty classy.
I watched this show for years. This departure only adds to the continued saga of them leaving good actors on the shelf, and not keeping real talent, like St. John.

I was hoping that they would keep TSJ. He is a phenomenol actor. Too bad; their loss. I was thrilled to see that his relationship with Audra was over. She plays it way over the top. And, who in their right mind believes you can take over a company by sweet talking the Board?! Dumb story line. Bring back TSJ, he gave the show some believable layers of a person struggling with being good and bad.
Audra has played and I mean in more ways than one. Time for her to hit the bricks.

I give my attention to General Hospital, they have great storylines and it’s not recycling spouses/partners all the time. I pick up a little of Y&R and B&B here and there.

Maybe Tucker will move to Paris and build a strong relationship with Ashley. Then they can come and save Jabot from Victor. It is time for Victor to have a comeuppance. The family needs to know that he kept Jordan in the basement and Adam needs to figure out it is Jack and let Nick know. I am not going to miss Victor Newman when he is finally out. I have watched this soap since 1978. Get rid Devon too, he is so uninspiring, just drab and boring. Would love Moses Winters back!!! He was amazing!!! I LOVED Trevor St.John as Tucker! He didn't thank the writers, I noticed. On today's episode, Abby went off on Billy and oddly enough, she noted the ONLY person who said anything about Ashley leaving WAS Tucker! So maybe, her attitude toward her father in law might be changing?
If we could recast Tucker, who might be good candidates for the role? If you were the legendary casting director, Betty Rea, who might you cast as Tucker? The three at the top of my dream list would be
A) Hunt Block-although he is older than current Tucker;
B) Grant Alexander;
C) Jon Hensley.

I hate seeing Tucker go. There is plenty they can still do with Tucker. How about him getting revenge on Victor for stealing his company with Audra by masterminding a takeover of Newman Enterprises. They could make the takeover temporary but that would knock the high and mighty Victor down a peg or two. How about letting Tucker finally redeem himself with his son. How about giving him a real love interest in the show and making Audra have second thoughts about leaving Tucker. How about getting rid of Audra instead of Tucker.
