You wouldn’t have haters if your bracket fit, a template for cars without an existing wing, as well as ghosting your customers when they have questions. All preventable.
I just installed the z07 wing yesterday and had a lot of problems. I got the exposed carbon fiber wing and it is gorgeous! The bracket, however, is where all the problems are. The top surface of bracket needed "casting" edges ground smooth. The top part of bracket needs to be 1/4 inch thick all the way across in order to be able to fit 3rd brake light in. It will NOT fit. The thickness on the edges(where the wing bolts go thru) are at least 1/8 thicker than center part of bracket. I had to grind down thickness of bracket on bottom edges and grind down top edges of 3rd brake light to get both into body panel. Not Fun. The Whole bracket fits tightly to car "frame" but it needs to be tilted 30 degrees to get it in. This causes a problem when trying to install as the "frame: flares out and will not allow the bracket to slide into body. You can't tilt bracket when it is mounted to bumper. I had to grind off about a 1/4 inch taper at bottom edges of bracket(by the frame bolt holes) to make it slide in. The side wing bolts should be black, the wing bolts should have a flat shoulder not tapered, the frame bolts should have a fender washer, Drill template for non winged cars should be included, and there should be 2 sided tape included for the two posts. There definitely is front to back flex and the body panel does deform when wing is bolted on. It looks great on the car when done but I'm not sure most would be able to handle the install problems. Bracket needs to be redone or quality control measures need to be employed on the bracket. I would like to see the install process on youtube regarding the bracket(this part is not shown) I'm hoping wing doesn't bounce too much while driving but won't know that til spring due to snow. I'm not the type of person to bash a company, just hoping they will improve product for next guy.
What are you laughing about? In your pull test, anybody can see that the rapid blue spoiler is flexed far back. It’s not vertical anymore. It’s just hanging on for dear life. That is not a strength test. You’re actually proving customers right. The mounting posts are the issue. It is not strong, and it shouldn’t flex back-and-forth from there. I agree with Ken, why are you so condescending? I’ve tried to reach out to you as well and guess what no response. It’s true you guys are ghosting your customers.
I agree as well. It flexed back alot . The bracket should have more vertical support to the wing . The bracket I saw on the first part of the video has alot of horizontal support.
love the video...i actually believed the first clip and thought the Sigala wing wasnt sturdy enough. but after this, i think ill get one for my future corvette xD
I bought a 2 post wing for my C8 corvette and you guys sent me the 2 unpainted covers for the old side post holes when I was suppose to get the cover plates painted .. I tried to get in contact with your company via email and phone however no one answered … very disappointed
We apologize for this, Can you please send us an email to contact@sigaladesigns.com we’ll be in the office on Monday and we’ll take care of you right away.
@@Clauratiu I haven’t heard anything either about the cover plates they were supposed to send painted. I paid $1500 bucks for a black painted wing. Why would I not want the side pieces painted as well? It would be stupid to go pay a body shop here to paint them. We’re waiting to hear from you Sigala.
It's great that you showed the weights on the wing while in the driveway......but I found it very convenient that you failed to show it driving at freeway speeds with the weights balanced on the wing.....what are you guys trying to hide?
I think some people were more concerned about the vibration at higher speeds because you can kinda see it moving on the sides while driving faster......I still love it though!! :)
5:56 EDIT - Sigala stepped up and sent me a set of the side hole covers painted black as I requested. Thank you very much Sigala ! I’m very happy. My wing is super sturdy. Just need to paint the silver screws on the sides black. Original: @SigalaDesigns Please reply to the emails regarding the unpainted side covers. It makes no sense to pay for a painted wing and not get the painted covers. You came up with a decent option to cover the holes but unpainted they do no good.
I have no uncertainty that this product is high quality, strong, and is mounted properly. But Sigala simply refuses to answer my sincere question. "Does the wing deform the bumper "significantly" at the mounting points?" Send Pictures...
Really appreciate you guys going through all the effort to show the strength of your wing. I saw the entire video by the C8 who was disappointed with your wing and the way the wing flexed and how the top of the bumper moved. What we don’t know is if his installation was done correctly and whether he actually used the reinforcement bracket that you supply.
That's my video and yes we used the indestructible Sigala support. It was definitely installed correctly. What Sigala doesn't want folks knowing is that its heavy...I bought the Carbon Flash Z07 version which is a heavy fiberglass wing.
@@cameronwebb5607 Even if it is heavy, it should still serve the purpose if it is properly braced. GM OEM used a strut brace behind the wing to block any rearward flexing. With a solid counter strut brace installed it should not be able to flex rearward. Look at this video of the GM OEM solution. Wish Sigala would employ a similar solution. th-cam.com/video/Iq-3UQNx1NY/w-d-xo.html
It’s no proven point, when you deliver the product to its customers they are mostly defective! This is why there was a video made with that customers flimsy Z06 wing video. This video is horrible desperation on there part
LAME ATTEMPT! Maybe your wing is more solid that YOU installed. Bottomline you have customers that are having issues. Instead of having the young guy in this video talking down to people (that seems like all you do) try fixing the problem. I was at a car show yesterday. The one I saw moves back and forth at the posts. It’s not the Flex that’s the issue. It’s the way they are mounted. Keep up how you treat your customers and see how long you stay in business.
I’ve only seen one customer who posted a video even then we have NO IDEA if he installed it correctly or if he used the reinforcement bracket. So I you have evidence of more customers who are having issues provide us with the data!
Looking at all the different video both here and elsewhere, the carbon fiber wing and it's carbon fiber bracket both appear to be ridiculously STRONG!💯, but it's how they are employed that seems to be in question. lateral support seems to not be any issue, but fore and aft support is what's questioned. It seems a solid mounted rear "support strut" assisting the bracket would fix the concerns.
I like the wing but the mount needs a redesign. It just allows way too much deflection. I'm sure it's strong. It just allows movement. I welded together a mount from 1/4" aluminum and it works perfect.
Honestly, it’s not about the flex to me it’s more about the fact that the mounting posts are too close together. The wing just kind of looks out of place from behind… Sturdy? YES!
If you dont want it dont buy it and keep ur comments to yourself. You dont walk into a store and say I dont like them pants so you shouldn't buy them either..
Actually I walk into stores all the time and look at pants I don't buy.....It's called shopping. But then I realize I'm a puppet and don't wear pants anyways. Hardy har har!!
It's rediculus. With the price and added packages you have to buy to get a wing. I'm a customer. I have a 2LZ being built and will be ordering the sigala wing and front splitter and wickers.
That makes no sense! Nobody says put a Z06 emblem on the car! If it enhances the beauty of the car, then do it. You are no doubt one of those that hates that GM ever made the C7 Grand Sport, because it shares the good looks of the Z06.
@@Stew5166 I have seen comments about exactly that, putting on the wing to make it look like a Z06. Not that it is pertinent to my post, I think the C7 Grand Sport is a sweet ride.
