Man I just put one on a few days ago - I couldn't get the bolt holes to line up with the car flat - had to jack up the passenger side really high to I guess flex the frame a little bit to get it to line up. Mine is an 03 so I'm not sure if that's normal but it's on now. Haven't been for a canyon cruise yet but I'm curious to try all the mounts now.
Don't think it will make much difference; the Spoon transmission mount might give a better feeling of rigidity and shifts. Oh just saw you already got the trans mount - how you like it?
believe it or not, this little center brace actually compliments the spoon motor mounts in regards of smoother shifting and also better acceleration! although I must admit it may go unnoticed to some I definitely noticed it by my rear view mirror shaking at cold start before the brace install lol Overall I think it's a good addition, best paired with spoon mounts and suspension in my opinion.
No problem! I'm all about the jdm and functionality so it better perform as expected lol I hear nothing but good things about ohlins definitely a good choice! I personally haven't decided what suspension to go with yet, maybe after I go to my first track session I'll look in to it more
Can you show all the Spoon additions you have made, and tell which ones were worth the money and time to install them. The comments about rattling is important. The comment about the motor mounts making the engine rattle, means I would not buy them.
check out my previous videos I've made so far regarding anything jdm parts going on my s2k i try to explain in detail and give my opinion on the parts hope it helps make your decision on them. and in regards of your question about the engine mounts rattling I personally think it's what the material the mounts are made, in comparison to the OEM mounts its a lot more stiff but not by a lot and to me I personally do not mind the vibration its not unbearable or extreme but I understand it may not be for everyone.
have you felt the difference? i installed mine and iam not sure if i feel it, obviously it is a sturdier piece than stock, so thats a plus, anyway stay safe myguy

yea, just a bit disappointed by the sticker on it but it does its job which is the most important part of it. yes I agree a little bit on the pricey side for sure.
@@joelstatosky1817 The oem ones also do their job but do not transmit vibrations like those do. I understand they are stiffer, but definitely overkill for a street driven car like yours. There is other options that are solid rubber like those without the harshness

Spoon mounts are horrible, they are good for track/race cars only. Too much for street use

yes, I do agree these mounts aren't for everyone. but for me personally its tolerable and don't mind the vibrations
