It’s not about the spectacle, it’s about who has better matchup knowledge and overall skill. If you were up there using batman going against his flash what would you do, you cant rush in on him because flash has way better rushing and combo tools just with his speed alone, so you have to keep him out. In the end its a display of skill to see who’s better, they don’t look to please the crowd. The pleasure is the display of skill and matchup alone
Inj 2 was so hype to watch. The comebacks were crazy everyone was so good , and sonic fox wasn’t dominating everyone. It was pretty diverse. Man I miss these tournaments. Biohazard and honeybee were by far my favorite

Foreverking vs Honeybee really presented well on how not to use Batman and how spamming skills don't do shit against those who truly mastered their mains and use combos based on timing and usage of variety of skills. Props to the Flash himself, Honeybee.
I literally just started playing the game and I'm a Flash main, I almost never use Aquaman but whenever I do i win a ton because his specials are super easy to use and his meter burns are great damage even without combos
aquaman is really solid. he’s really safe and can whiff punish well from a distance with back 3. i’ve been playing since launch and i main supergirl but it’s never too late to get into it lol, people still play ij1

Dragon made that so boring and lame to watch. Might as well not even displayed it for the audience. Yes he’s playing for money, he did what he had to, but it was far from a “well deserved” victory. I thought tournaments were for the best of all, not cheapest.

He was playing defensively, zoning HoneyBee out, but he also resorted to close quarter attacks, grabs, etc. The thing is HoneyBee is so good, that in the end Theo had to play like that if he wanted to have any chance. Using his heat vision until he had meter and his trait was ready. It just tells us how well HoneyBee played.
Everyones too busy hating on dragon and forever king instead of just appreciating the play, especially from honeybee? All of these players are part of this tournament for a reason.

Was nice to finally see this dude winning championship after championship with gimmicky, highest-of-the-high-tier characters, that he abused all spammable moves on contest after contest. Nothing personal towards the dude, but man, I hate his playstyle and I hate his guts as a pro player.

I used to love watching sonicfox because he is a good player, but not going to lie seeing him knocked out by flash and catwoman was awesome. I hate how honeybee keeps going up against batarang spamming batmen and lazer spamming supermen. There should be a cooldown after like the 3rd spam to allow the other player to punish as its annoying seeing Honey being chipped before getting to land a good combo.
