I have to say the 2nd as it introduced us to speedsters,flying characters and free roam but I wish they had the character designs from the first one in the second

The first lego Batman always gave me Batman the animated series vibes and the Batman 89 soundtrack made it 100x better. I also loved the levels in the first game much more than the second, although the free play in the second one was fantastic. In all honesty I’d pick the first because it was definitely centered more towards Batman and his villains, the second one focused on Batman and Superman and the Superman part was extremely boring. I love both games tho!
First one because I can be a zookeeper and fight with a broom,and I just enjoyed the first one longer.

I have to go with Lego Batman: The Video Game.
Why? Because that was my childhood when my grandma got it for me for the the OG Wii console, along with Mario and everything else.

not gonna lie recently lego batman 2 came from my favorite lego batman game to least favorite im kind of starting to give lego batman 3 more love and im realizng how much lego batman 2 is kind lacking in the missions only 15 levels sure lego batman 3 only had 16 levels but they had 3 secret characters in each level so it had more replay value

I have to say Lego Batman 2 is my favourite by far. It's how I found Blitz and how I found Lego games. Nostalgia aside, the versions of the characters in Batman 2 feel more "right" to me than in Batman 1. Maybe it's because its the game that formed my love of DC and those are therefore what I naturally think of when I think of those characters.

The 1st one has the better story and depth and a lot of details and its so nostalgic and dont get me started on the soundtrack of the 1st one which uses the entire ost from the movie unlike LB2.But on the other hand lb2 had a better roster it didnt have useless characters like sailor scientist yeti etc and it DID have a free roam where you could find the villains and unlock them but i dont know man its tough!!!!!i like the og one more i guess

I think the best of both of them was lego batman the video game, its the first lego game I ever played and it was how i was introduced to this channel, i remember how i used to play it on my psp when i was little, and all i had was the demo so i want on youtube to see the full gameplay, and i found this channel and been subscribed ever since.

Lego batman the videogame (first game) will always be my favorite. I think it has simpler (and better) humor, and i like that it doesn't have voice acting. I never found it enhanced the experience but was distracting.
I personally like the character designs better in the second one, but I do really wish that Nightwing was part of the game without having to get it as DLC. Also, I think there were way too many generic LEGO characters in the original. So, for me LEGO Batman 2 has the best roster.

Although both games hold a special place in my heart and are very nostaglic to me, I have to say LEGO Batman 1 as it was one of (if not the first) the first lego games I played. But besides that, I love both, and have many fond memories from 2012-13 of playing LEGO Batman 2 with my sister and solo too enjoying every moment. I love lego games.
Bat man 1 because its nostalgic
Lego Batman 2, while it's fun to play as the Villains in Lego Batman 1 and it feels more like a Batman game as a whole not to mention how creative they got with the non-Dialog story. Lego Batman 2 offers A full Gotham to explore, more customized characters to make, better designs and more polish (although the designs might be more from Lego itself), the fact that you can play as the justice League. More creative and empowering suits, (Batman's Power suit and electric suit) and it was the first TT games Lego game to have dialogue. Plus there is still a 1,000,000 stud challenge.
Lego Batman 2; Because Better animation, Voice Acting, More Unique Characters that aren't just generic Run of the Mill Civilians or Police Officers, or other various Mere Mortals

I love the original game more for the levels and bonus levels but the second game has a far better roster and first lego game with voices oh also Flash and Open World so I guess Lego Batman 2 is better despite my nostalgia favouring the original Lego Batman
Also do Lego Marvel Superheroes 1, 2 and Avengers could be fun to see everyone's opinions on the very similar but dont just go over roster like also everything in the game like levels story Map character customization everything in them all

Lego bat man 2 has the best free roam,design for characters and the first lego videogame I ever got.
The first one has a better atmosphere in the levels along with the soundtrack and level design so I’d have to go with that one although the free roam was cool in the 2nd

Lego Batman 2 was a great game because of different character designs all the variations of skins used for batman and robin plus the standard designs in the selecting screen are better than the first game. And if we go by the design of the bat cave I feel the second one was better cause I actually felt like I was in the bat cave and Gotham city in the second game. So it’s the second one for me.!

I loved the open world, story and vast character roster of 2, yet the original managed to actually put forward better abilities, secrets and that villain campaign was so good they are pretty much remaking this game with only the villain story
I feel like LEGO Batman 2 is better because you have an open world and you also have more of the justice league characters and a few more villains like Sinestro and Braniac, I really liked Free Roaming in Gotham thats also why Im really hyped for LEGO DC Supervillains

- Mad Hatter no longer does double jump and doesn't have his gun anymore
- Two-Face and Bane can be hurt by toxins
- Poison Ivy has a new use of her
- Man-Bat flies instead of gliding and now can break glass
- Clayface no longer perform double jumps
- Harley Quinn is disarmed from her gun
- The Riddler has new use of him
- Killer Moth now flies instead of gliding
- Scarecrow has no abilities
- Batgirl no longer can access Batman costumes, while Bruce now is able to do that.
well here a comparsion that you have to do when the next Dc lego game comes out later this year so do BATMAN (Lego Batman 1) vs BATMAN (Lego Batman 2) vs BATMAN (Lego Batman 3) and BATMAN (Lego DC supervillains) and you can do this with Joker and Harley quinn who been in all these games
