This was like a mirror image of the day me, my 4 year old, and my brother had yesterday. Everything from the way the current made the bite feel to the turtles. Saw two turtles offshore about 15 miles out just cruise by our boat while we were spot locked on a pyramid. Got my kid calling them lamb noggins too! Appreciate all you do for our entertainment and learning. Gotta admit your videos have helped us improve our fishing success over the last 2 yrs tremendously!
RIP Cane pole. Lol great video as always Brandon. And a note to all those enjoying this video, don't forget to "like" and if you've not subscribed, why not it's free!!! Let's help this amazing Capts's channel grow, he so deserves it given all the hard work that he puts into these videos.
Awesome cane pole catch 😂, definitely love the Waterlandco sunglasses, definitely the best pair of sunglasses for fishing I've bought. Also love their apparel and customer service. I bet those fish tasted awesome. Keep up the great content.
@@CaptCollier I’ve been slacking. I finally got out for the first time and went spoonbill snagging yesterday. Didn’t catch anything but 2 big rocks and a tree but I was out of the house for the first time in almost 2 years.
We sold a ton of calcutta poles back in the 70's to guys fishing the jetties at Alabama point. You couldn't break them, they were nearly solid bamboo. I am surprised yours held up as long as it did. Surprised you didn't jig for the triggers. You caught some lids the last time out on them.
Yessir I found a guy that has some legit Calcutta poles and I’m getting him to rig me one up for this summer. Hope to catch some snapper, jacks, and tripletail with it
Back in Mississippi the people fishing at Muddy Bayou used those big canepoles fishing for Crappie . They would "yeat" the poor crappie up over their heads and back in the woods.
I know you do some jigging as well if you ever wanted to try some areas that have definitely never been hit with jigs hit me up I’m a mate on an offshore boat out of the outer banks, my captain and I are both getting into the jigging and love it, traditionally we only troll around this area and I’m 100% positive the bottom above 300’ has not been hit with jigs before, tight lines man!
That’s one I had not heard before. I’ve fished Sheep’s along the entire coastal bend and never heard it. Im gonna use it - giving y’all full credit, of course.

When I was a kid in the 80s we would go fishing in the Bahamas and some of the locals would use huge canes for grouper thought it was cool!!
