  • When we start sewing, it can be overwhelming to know which tools to buy or use, or maybe we've been sewing for a while and just really aren't sure. Maybe you're just starting out and don't want to invest lots of money yet, so you want to make a wish list for now. Whatever the reason, I wanted to make this video to show you some of my favourite sewing tools and give you some alternatives for some of these tools, for items you may have around your house. Some tools you may already have, others can be found at your local Dollar Stores, or you can purchase them online. I even share information about some of the tools I used that were around my house, when I started sewing, things we wouldn't even think of but I used them and they did the job.
I know there are lots of tools out there, I have lots myself, but these ones are the ones I wanted to talk about now, as some of these are needed when you just get started.
I hope you find this informative or helpful! =D

Great video! I always love seeing Buddy, too! Great tip about the masking tape. I’ll have to try that. I agree about the Martelli cutter. I have used one for years and love it.

Thank you! 😊❤️ Buddy loves being on camera. I try not to let her be too distracting, because I know some people find these types of things annoying, but she is my little baby. This is the only table she's allowed on in the house, and she was always welcomed on it before I started filming tutorials, so it's not a habit I can change or want to. So, I'm always glad when people love seeing her. And I hope she makes people smile too.
I'm glad you found a useful tip in this video. I have put off filming this video for a long time because I was worried many would find the information repetitive, but I just wanted to share my information. Hopefully it helps others. 😊

This video was very helpful, what size rivets do you usually use?

Depending on the thickness of the materials, I use an 8mm cap with 6mm post or 9mm cap with 8mm post. 😊
