Did you know, that at the water front in Beacon next to the train station, there is a ferry boat that can take you across the Hudson River to Newburgh, NY. There are some nice restaurants on the river front in Newburgh too. There is an historic site too that is within walking distance, Washington's Headquarters. However the walk there is uneventful until you reach the site. But the trip back to Beacon across the Hudson River again is worth it after a few beers at the brewery next to the ferry boat dock. In Newburgh.😊

Beacon is like a more condensed version of Woodstock. It’s a walkable town with mountains on one end and the Hudson River on the other..

DIA is incredible but it’s not like MOMA. There’s a lot of impressionist art but most of it is complimented by big wide spaces so there’s not as much to see..
