highly reccomend an amc stubs membership it makes going to the theater so much more affordable and watching a movie in the theater is even better for focus because there are no distractions
If you want to cry try "Your name", an anime movie. Or Belle, Suzume, Spirited away and weathering with you. I only found those myself recently, they're great! And in the end how you fell back into your phone after achieving your goal is exactly how people that complete their diet fall back into old habits I think. You need a permanent process change I, not an end goal, if you want to improve your life. I think your suggestion of different kinds of entertainment are a great idea.
