I love the simplicity of this. So many diy slide out videos are really complex with hinges and drawer glides. I feel like after watching this video, I can go to Home Depot and build this today. Great job!
Genius! I’m doing this on my harbor freight 4x8 enclosed utility/tool trailer exterior spayed rhino liner and it’s not tall enough to climb in so I’ll now be able to slide my work stations and tool out. Great idea thanks for sharing!!
great idea , just maybe a safety lock position on the legs , because if there's heavy load in it just wondering if safe? I have a simple slider I made. I just used plastic decking frame and mounted heavy duty wheels on the decking frame. It just lays there not screwed into truck bed. It can just slide out the plywood which I reinforced with 1x3 on the sides. Your leg 💡 idea is valuable, I may have to try it... The advantage is you not only can load and unload, but you have a work table with you when ever you need. A manufactured version will work also , I think all they need to do is make the legs go up and down, depending on the tailgate height of various trucks. Be on the look out I think some company gonna patent it 💰
On the tailgate side legs, you could bolt a round steel pipe between them and then carve out a half round groove in the bottom of each side of the frame where they fold back up. Then you would have more stability and be able to pull the back legs down as one piece.
it depends on the weight location. Because it slides out completely with no anchor, it can take some muscle but not to bad. Mostly I slide it out, prop the legs out on one end and leave it on the truck.
@@CamoMatrix Great ideal. Thanks. Have you seen "All American Mack's" slider? He stapled artificial grass to plywood as the sliding surface and maybe you could too on your rails to make sliding easier

This could use a few improvement but the idea can be expanded on for your needs

I cant believe this doesnt have 100,000 likes. This is incredible in so many ways.
Thanks! It's that TH-cam algorithm keeping me down.
Man I'm almost 70 and I never thought about doing this- I believe I'll give it a try- This is great Thanks for posting
There are ways to improve it but the basic idea works pretty good

I must say I'm quite impressed. Good job!!!
Thanks. I am thinking of rebuilding with angle iron to make it lower in the bed
I'm impressed dude. So simple yet so smart!
It is a simple thing. I need to remake it in steel.
I love how simple this was. I'm going to try an replicate it but with the intent for camping.

This is true, great idea. to add to that, a strap attached to that pipe would aid in pulling it down.
Great idea. Simplicity is genius !
Glad you like it!
Genius! I am copying your idea. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. It has been useful for me.
Great solution. Well done.
Thanks. Thinking of rebuilding in metal for a slimmer design.
Thanks for sharing this design!
Great!
This is so simple! I love it. Im starting this today
Let me know how it goes.I ended up removing my tool boxes and making it a full flat bed with a lip on the edge after a year of use.
Man that is very slick sir!
That is slicker than snot on a doorknob!👍🏻
thanks so much
Brilliant! Gave me some great ideas, thanks
Thanks. I got some improvements to make after some use.
Great job
Thanks. It is simple but effective.
Very cool
Genius!!👍👍
I removed the boxes and use the whole surface now for a giant removable table.
Brilliant!
it does pretty good but could use some upgrades.
Genius!!!
Hope you can paten that. I’m sure it would sell!
What exactly to patent here you're talking about? Four two by fours and some bolts ??
thanks
true dat
hey was it as easy rolling in an out after the weight of accessories or tools loaded in boxes?

Im putting two wheels on the back of mine to roll it in and out.. will update later

@@ad6a8a I will have to check it out.
You might be a genius.
I have never been called that
Some companies gonna steal your idea and put some rollers , that lock so it won't roll inside , and make bucks $$$
i have some improvements to make

Awesome design. Thanks. Consider it stolen. lol
