Doctors are trained to make a diagnosis and prescribe medicine because healthcare in this country is run with big pharma and it’s a monopoly. HEALING and natural medicine is not covered by insurance. I love to see doctors like this think outside what they have been trained to do-most treat patients like they are on an assembly line. I met one of his patients today at my job (I work in healthcare) and she raved about him. I’m so happy to have found this. Please keep doing what you are doing!

"No Bad Parts" by Richard Schwartz is an amazing book on Internal Family Systems. He did a podcast with Rich Roll that blew my mind.

Trauma-informed medicine and spirituality - Forgiveness and unconditional love play crucial roles in the healing process, as stress can affect telomeres and shorten lifespan.

This doctor is wonderful to listen to! His voice is so comforting 🥰 There’s a Bible verse in Proverbs 23:7 that says “ As a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (or so does he become) 💜

Some people are offended by being prayed over or for. There are many types of religion and also agnostic and atheist as well. My husband was very annoyed when the Seventh Day Adventist hospital he went to for surgery was trying to always engage him in prayer. Turns out we found out these doctors weren't exactly fully ethical which brings someone who is not religious to be turned off by hypocrisy! I have very different feelings than he does but I feel he deserves to believe or not without other religions trying to force their way of thinking on people who do not believe. To me it is a total lack of respect to expect other people to jump onto whatever religious bandwagon you are on. I see so many people on TH-cam bringing prayer and their religious beliefs into conversations. When I was growing up around a lot of religious influences people were more personal with their believes rather than trying to persuade their way is the right way. Thank you Chef A.J. for this interview I find this all very interesting!

Trauma trained therapist. Doesn’t it everyone have had trauma at a point of their life? Isn’t it a good idea every therapist to be trauma informed and trained? Just food for thought… a therapist without it is not much of a help I suppose…

I’m sorry, but this doctor has it wrong. If he thinks that you can eat a crappy diet and escape heart disease because you’re “happy“, he’s missing something.

I don’t understand why people are calling out current medical systems, traditional. It’s only been around the last 100 or so years. It’s far from traditional. What we are discussing as new, is what was done long before what we have going on now.
