Tomas why do you always find fault with non-German cars? It is a budget car after all. OK the window closing mechanism isn't as smooth as an Audi costing 3 times the price but what do you expect for 1/3rd of the price? One thing we do know. Your average Suzuki is far, far more reliable than your average VW/Audi/BMW/Mercedes! You might like to ask yourself why is it that German manufacturers tend to perform very poorly in reliability surveys? Why do you think that is? Build quality perhaps? Ok having said that appreciate your review of the Swift. I'm not sure I like the styling. It may grow on me. The interior is quite nice though.

I really like this. I used to have the pre-facelift model and it was a brilliant little car. The 1.0 Turbo was a brilliant engine so I'm surprised to see it's not available in the facelifted model.
I think the Japense Swift had the turbo. It seems now they're only making the Indian version which is made by Maruti Suzuki which is the Indian arm of Suzuki.
Seems to be pretty sensible B-segment car. Used to have a 2011 Suzuki Alto, now I have a 2016 Kia Rio. Appearantly Kia killed the Rio, and Nissan Micra, Ford Fiesta, etc. are gone as well, so there's less and less choice in B-segment cars, if you don't want ev, crossover or suv. Good to see at least some new cars in this segment, like this Suzuki Swift.
Swift isn't new. It's been around in this guise for a very long time. This is possibly the third iteration of this particular Swift. Despite the Fiesta being axed there are a good few alternatives - Yaris, Mazda 2 Hybrid and original Mazda 2, 208, Corsa, Lancia will release their own version of the 208 and Corsa soon, i10, i20, Picanto, Mini, 500, Clio, Colt ( which is Mitsubishi's version of the Clio ) and MG has a new hybrid 3 on the way. You could also add Dacia to the list

I have the 2023 version and like recommend it. I love that now they've put the back door handle right to where it belongs. I always get confused when I have to open that door. Nice to see more USB ports. Nice review, Autogefuhl .
I own a 2006 1.3 shogun, i see a lot of stuff on the interior which remind me on the old model. Also one that hasn’t been changed and is that the foldable backseats are still designed to go down for the convenience of right-side steering wheel version. Maybe because there is more market in the countries that have the steering wheel on the right side, but it’s small thing like these that make the difference.
I owned a swift before and i miss that little car, very nice and reliable, excellent fuel economy even at high speeds, and the manual gearbox, I am sure will be amazing... i think this is better looking then the previous generation🎉
I bought the latest Suzuki Swift 3Cyl Turbo Mild Hybrid 4 years ago. A BRILLIANT Engine, the most economical car I've ever owned. The marriage of the 3Cyl 1litre Turbo to a Mild Hybrid System is a great idea. The boost from the Electric Motor fills the torque gap that is inevitably exposed due to the 1litre Engine. I wish my new Mini Cooper had a 1litre Turbo Engine emwith a HYBRID SYSTEM, like the Swift instead of the 3Cyl 1.5litre Turbo NO HYBRID that BMW have given me. I can often feel my Mini Cooper Engine 'juddering' on acceleration, something that my Suzuki Swift NEVER did. BMW certainly missed a trick here. I also regularly got 56 - 60 MPG out of my Suzuki Swift. I've never yet achieved 50mpg out of my Mini in spite of how carefully I drive it. Unfortunately, Suzuki STOPPED making the 3Cyl 1Ltr Turbo Mild Hybrid & replaced it with a 4Cyl 1.2Ltr NON TURBO Hybrid. A very, very BAD Suzuki decision. So I won't be buying another Swift! But one thing that Suzuki are really crap at is - the Interiors of their cars. They use lots of shocking cheap hard plastic everywhere. And dull (almost allways Black) interiors with little style imagination on display...
Can't wait to see this new generation Swift here in México! Love the new design! I still keep mine from 2016 and is such a reliable car and fun to drive! Thanks God we still get the Swift / Swift Sport and the Jimny (3 door) made in Japan 🇯🇵 and not India 🇮🇳, however, we still do not get the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, not even in the higher trim levels which is a shame from Suzuki because other brands are already offering Advanced Driver Assistance Systems since a couple of years ago, even in their lower trim levels, like Toyota Corolla, Nissan Versa, Honda City and so on. Suzuki in México is one step behind in this matter.
Thanks for the confirmation that the Swift is assembled in Japan. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find the info for Mexico. As you know any vehicle with a J first letter in the serial is a much better buy. If my indestructible 2013 March ever shi** the bed a Swift will be our next purchase.

Thanks for this review. Both wifey & myself have owned Suzuki Celerios since 2016 & rate these odd looking little cars as the best we've ever owned in 45 years of driving! Other than both air-con systems failing (a consequence of the cars not being driven during COVID) the Celerios have been utterly reliable. Fuel economy has been truly OUTSTANDING. Driven sedately & sensibly, it's easy to average 70 mpg (4.03 litres/100km) & it's been like this throughout the 8 year lifespan of both cars. I've owned two other 1 litre 3 pots (a Daihatsu Sirloin & a Kia Picanto) and neither car came remotely close to the economy of the Celerio. I plan to buy another new car, probably around 2025/26, before I finally hang up my driving gloves. Ideally I'd like to buy the new version Celerio which I've driven several times in South Africa & really rate. Sadly it's not available in the UK so I'm looking hard at the new Swift. I'm hoping that the new 1.2 litre Z12 engine is A LOT more efficient on the road than the current one & can match what we currently get from our cars. If not, then my attention will very likely turn to the new MG 3 hybrid or the BYD Seagull EV. Pricing will be a key factor for me. It's not that I can't afford to blow £40k+ on a new motor but I absolutely object to doing so for a machine which 97% of the time will sit outside my house doing precisely f**k all!
You love the tiddlers! Good point about the vehicle sitting idle most of the time. Did you prefer your Daihatsu Sirloin well done, or rare? 😋 I loved the little Sirion GTVi with its peppy 1.3L. I also had a Suzuki Swift GTi 1.3L.
I wasn't a fan of the redesign when it was first announced but it's grown on me. The lights still look a bit too EV-like I feel but that's not necessarily a bad thing. And yes, you're 100% right in that other car companies could take an example from Suzuki. There are still a few (very popular and overrated) brands that will charge you over double the price of this little thing, give you the same engine and size capacity, but give you very awkward, uncomfortable interiors with the cheapest materials around, and people will still choose them over much better options because their 70 year old grandpa told them that "my pickup from that brand lasted me 40 years!"
I didn't like the design when I saw the first pictures but now it's growing on me. And that's a very cosy interior, I appreciate the beige inserts. Thanks for you review !
Great little car. Their only issue is, the paint suffers badly from stone chipping, particularly on the bonnet/hood. I hope Suzuki remedies this issue in future.
I really like swift cars and I am one of the users. One thing I am not clear with is the text fixed at the back of the car which reads "GENUINE INTERNATIONAL". Is that fixed by the company or a fake thing? If by the company, what is the basic difference between this car and the other car without the text? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks,
Rear bumper, in the middle - at its bottom, is the cars rear fog light. Rear fog lamp function offers up to twenty times the luminous intensity of a cars regular taillights, and this equals many additional seconds of advanced warning of the vehicle to following/rear approaching traffic under dense fog conditions and the like. Switch the rear fog light OFF, the moment you can see well enough ahead.
Thanks to Thomas and the team for showing us this affordable car. The buttons on the left side of the dashboard are looking very familiar a lot like Stelantis.
8:13 No, it's not. The whole point of that beeping is for the driver to know if the screen recognized your tap. That's the only way to make automotive touchscreens half-decent to use while driving.
Suzuki is the same company that builds the Hayabusa! The world's most famous motorcycle. Also the world famous Gixxer, Intruder, Katana and V-strom. They also ofcourse make the iconic Swift and WagonR plus a range of some of the most fuel efficient and reliable high quality small cars. They also make outboard marine engines, ATVs, generators and other multipurpose engines!
Don’t know about price in Germany, but I know for sure that every new model is more and more expensive! The previous Swift costed 16990 until they bumped the price to 18990€! This newer one(which is obviously only a facelift of the previous), will cost over 20k with easy!? The inflation is really kicking in! 4k in a year or so, for a small city car! Nuts!
This used to be such a larger and much more spacious car compared to how it is now. Sucks how corporations keep becoming more and more greedy. Great review as always!
I love all of the cost cuttings done here, like the clunk from the steering wheel changing, it's something you rarely do and they saved some money there. The only thing I don't like about this is the huge TV growing out of the panels of the car, I wish it just wasn't there and instead get just get a mounting plate for our phones. xD
The hood design is really bad with that gap, but in black the car will look quite good. Huge number of views for this car, this shows that a lot of people are looking for affordable cars in these days.
I got 2013 swift. Best designed utility small car in the world. Great pickup and handling. Way better than polo, fabia, micra, brio … only Hyundai i10 comes close.
Suzuki's smaller R06a mild hybrid CVT transaxle did not use a torque converter to pair the ICE to the CVT. If this Z12 powerplant also follows the same principle, then it marks the beginning of Direct Drive technology for bigger engines as well. ‼️😍
I'm not a fan of the 3-cylinder engine, but I'd have to try it first. Too bad that they still don't have onboard computer controls on the steering column stalk switches. The horn is probably still a motorcycle horn, not even a decent one tone car horn. The suspension probably still bottoms out easily and not nicely. The front design looks akward. It's a a shame because it was great on the previous model. The back is better here though I think. The window noise is hopefully a problem on this unit that won't be there on the final car. I'm not sure how well these whitish plastics will hold over time.
Looks great overall, especially the light weight, real dials and manual gearbox. But I just wish you didn't have to have that massive screen glaring in your face, really dates it
I'm a fan of Suzuki, I even own a 2023 Dzire. But for the looks, it's not for everyone. I still prefer the 2023 Swift which is much sportier in looks. The 2024 model seems to be more minimalist in style. quite good too, but again, not for everyone.

This is 3 cyl NA hybrid

I think it was a good decision to keep analog meters alive.
That was a lovely review...very nice work
It's nice to see the yellow dot on the tyre aligned with the tyre valve on the wheel. I've seen plenty of "premium" cars that miss this.
Enjoyed watching, thank you. Sadly you didn't mention the quality of the music stereo / speakers? That would have been helpful.
Thanks 🙏 noted.
I loved the little Sirion GTVi with its peppy 1.3L.
I also had a Suzuki Swift GTi 1.3L.
@@MrBenHaynes Bloody spell-checkers!
Be it the jimny or the swift suzuki cars never change and thats totally fine people still love them
There is no prototype in Suzuki 😂
Mmhh what u mean
I didn't like the design when I saw the first pictures but now it's growing on me. And that's a very cosy interior, I appreciate the beige inserts. Thanks for you review !
8:30 Standalone and easy-to-use HVAC controls. Bravo.
Love the rear lights and the key fob, amazed by the trunk space.
Great little car. Their only issue is, the paint suffers badly from stone chipping, particularly on the bonnet/hood. I hope Suzuki remedies this issue in future.
Do I see correctly that Swift has struts and sound insulation on the hood? VAG, take a look, please!
manual strut
This is 1 of the best affordable car
I really like swift cars and I am one of the users.
One thing I am not clear with is the text fixed at the back of the car which reads "GENUINE INTERNATIONAL". Is that fixed by the company or a fake thing? If by the company, what is the basic difference between this car and the other car without the text?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Uh no idea
Rear bumper, in the middle - at its bottom, is the cars rear fog light.
Rear fog lamp function offers up to twenty times the luminous intensity of a cars regular taillights, and this equals many additional seconds of advanced warning of the vehicle to following/rear approaching traffic under dense fog conditions and the like. Switch the rear fog light OFF, the moment you can see well enough ahead.
Nice Information 👍
If they sold this in the U.S. I would buy one. I love the Cool Yellow Metallic color, that is what I would get with the 5 speed manual.
I enjoyed watching the Video 😊
So a new swift sport coming out or just this model?
Still the most lightweight, sporty car in its class. Suzuki know their audience
Thanks to Thomas and the team for showing us this affordable car.
The buttons on the left side of the dashboard are looking very familiar a lot like Stelantis.
I'd love this to be my first car when it comes to South Africa.... who knows dreams might come true
Looks much better I expected from previous images. Just hope they bring a Sport verision, as usual. Nice video as always.
Hope the handling is better or same as the previous model... And the torque...
Great review, I loved this car, everything you need for a daily use, definitely will be considered as an option to buy!
Affordable little car 👍
Nothing can match the beauty of 1st gen and 2nd gen swift💯
Wonderful vlog the car looks premium
Another reason for the lower rear door handles is for access to smaller children. They can actually reach the handles to open the door.
Good point!
Very good review, thank you! Any news about Swift Sport?
Thanks 🙏 they say they wont build a swift sport… cant understand because everyone is asking for it
Thanks for the review. The front looks very much like a Ford in my opinion...There is something weird with that bonnet also.
I agree. It looks like the bonnet is slightly open.
Thomas addressed that in the video. It's a pre production prototype which is why it's a bit rough around the edges.
I got shown an ad for a red Ford Puma during the video, and I thought it was the same car.
exactly
didn't mean the gap but the shape of the bonnet which is rounder than the rest of the car.
looks wonderful! I wish the new Dzire will have a similar design
8:13 No, it's not. The whole point of that beeping is for the driver to know if the screen recognized your tap. That's the only way to make automotive touchscreens half-decent to use while driving.
A new sport won’t be coming to Europe, I read. Glad I got the previous generation last year.
One of the best choices out there, if not the best.
Thanks keep tuning in!
Huge number of views for this car, this shows that a lot of people are looking for affordable cars in these days.
wow a modern hatchback that isn´t just a renamed SUV, that is a genuine surprise
Nice and good car! Complete and light. 4 adults can seat perfectly! Low price! Never breaks down unlike european cars.
I got 2013 swift. Best designed utility small car in the world. Great pickup and handling. Way better than polo, fabia, micra, brio … only Hyundai i10 comes close.
This is beautiful. Waiting for this one to come to INDIA soon❤
Suzuki's smaller R06a mild hybrid CVT transaxle did not use a torque converter to pair the ICE to the CVT. If this Z12 powerplant also follows the same principle, then it marks the beginning of Direct Drive technology for bigger engines as well. ‼️😍
if this variant arrives in India, I will buy it in a heartbeat.
I LOVE SUZUKI SWIFT!
สวยมาก จากประเทศไทย อยากให้เข้าไทยเร็วๆ❤
How many models are there on the Swift please ...
It's a trend these days to make successful attractive designs uglier in their new iterations.
Previous swift was so good that I cannot like this one easily
I'm not a fan of the 3-cylinder engine, but I'd have to try it first.
Too bad that they still don't have onboard computer controls on the steering column stalk switches.
The horn is probably still a motorcycle horn, not even a decent one tone car horn.
The suspension probably still bottoms out easily and not nicely.
The front design looks akward. It's a a shame because it was great on the previous model. The back is better here though I think.
The window noise is hopefully a problem on this unit that won't be there on the final car.
I'm not sure how well these whitish plastics will hold over time.
I'd love to see what the sport in this form like like
India me launch kab hogi ❤
Very cute
Looks great!shame they couldnt keep the unique back door handles but i get it.
Looks great overall, especially the light weight, real dials and manual gearbox. But I just wish you didn't have to have that massive screen glaring in your face, really dates it
I love it! Too bad Suzuki cars are not in the USA I would get one of these.
Why Suzuki not in USA(
Swift or mini ?
nice details about new swift
What type of ruler is he using for the boot space?
I'm a fan of Suzuki, I even own a 2023 Dzire. But for the looks, it's not for everyone. I still prefer the 2023 Swift which is much sportier in looks. The 2024 model seems to be more minimalist in style. quite good too, but again, not for everyone.
Most beautiful swift yet
New Swift sport version is gonna be really interesting 😊
This car is so cool and everyone should buy it and ignore the suzuki swift sport!! (Tryna decrease the prices for the sport
i want it)
