The saying of "a team is only as strong as it's weakest player" is true but a team is also only as strong as it's strongest player. Add on to that the overwhelming carry potential for basically all of Survivor's team challenges as well as the ability to choose who sits out if you're a person over and you can quickly see the problems with the 4 strongest/4 weakest vs the 8 in the middle division.
With no James it would probably be OK, but if half of the challenges are physical and one tribe has a guy who could literally take on the whole of the other tribe and win, then you have a problem.

I'd want to create a strong alliance with him/her so that when the tribe is merged, I might have a strong alliance so that I wouldn't be voted out until the very last part. Also, we'd probably win the reward challenges too. This would make us stronger physically at the time, while the other team is starving and unmotivated. Getting rid of Jimmy J was so stupid too. I think they were jealous of his success in life. So it's like we have one of the strongest leaders in the history of all things non-military, but let's vote him off early and be petty.
Out of everyone on Gabon, Randy, Corinne and Sugar were the most iconic. And it was very clear that Randy and Corinne's personalities were farther from heroes than Sugar so that's why she ended up on the Heroes.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the season that had one tribe living in luxury and comfort and the other tribe is given a flint and not much else and how the "rich" tribe was trouncing the other one.
he did mention it (fiji), at the very beginning of the video. as one of the seasons he would not be counting because that was (coincidentally) a tribe where the cast split themselves up.
12:12 - As a daughter of a retired P.E. Teacher, mom and I absolutely had the double standard put onto P.E. Teachers regarding physical ability. If she's good at a sport, oh of course she is, she's a P.E. Teacher. If she's bad at a sport, she should be better, she's a P.E. Teacher. 🙄 So to hear Survivor Casting expected physical gold from the P.E. Teacher, disappoints me but doesn't surprise me.
That's probably because puzzles featured heavily on DvG, and the David tribe had Christian, who took about 5 seconds to do the slide puzzle on the opening challenge
Paused at 2 to predict the top spot: Pearl Islands. Not only does Drake have the stronger team no matter how you measure it they also had the ONLY Spanish speaker on a season where tribes had to barter for starting supplies with people who ONLY spoke Spanish. Morgan had no chance,
So we got lopsided tribe swaps and lopsided starting tribes. I'm just counting down the days until we get the top 5 blowouts in challenges, whether for tribe or individual challenges.
I kinda wonder what a season would look like if they used the exact same cast as the previous season. Obviously it would never happen as it wouldn’t make for that interesting of tv, but it would be interesting to see alliances formed by everyone who got fucked over by the eventual winner, and the person who came in last the first time around might go farther this time
You aren't cast it seems. I would assume that if they had any promising people show up in casting while they were doing Nicaragua, they put them on Redemption Island, since they filmed back to back. The people who would fall in that 31-39 age range who were on RI (besides Rob and Russell) were: Francesca, Sarlta, and David Murphy. I don't feel particularly hyped to think of how any of those three would do on Nicaragua.
I mean if look at the Coyopa tribe than Rocker and Nadeya should carry the tribe but than they lose all but two challenges and one of those wins was the immunity challenge Drew single-handedly threw to get rid of Kelly Wentworth.
@@cdawg4021 Not necessarily, because when Hunahphu had Jeremy/Jon/Reed/Drew/Natalie/Wentworth all on one tribe, while Wes and Rocker were pretty much it when it came to challenge strength for Coyopa, then it's easy to figure out what tribe would be winning most of the challenges
The Villains were lucky when JT gave Russell the Idol, because that's all they needed to get back in the game after losing Tyson and Boston Rob. It seems like such a dumb move by JT now, but remember that Survivor: Samoa didn't even air until Heroes vs Villains was close to finish filming, and with Parv, it was easy to assume that she was leading an all women alliance on the Villains tribe when you take Micronesia into account (poor Erik)

I think they were jealous of his success in life. So it's like we have one of the strongest leaders in the history of all things non-military, but let's vote him off early and be petty.
Oh boy Wardog. He looks like Tony's cousin but his challange performance is at same level like Dan Lembo from S21 Nicaragua
Naviti Strong! You picked great lopsided tribes. How in Gabon, Fang was picked that way, still mind boggles me.
That Wardog montage is legendary
“It’s a fun conspiracy like Bigfoot existing or the moon being real.”
War dog the Challenge god!
How come Candace is always called out as being misplaced on the Heroes tribe but I never hear anything about Sugar? How tf is Sugar a hero???
Both Candice and Sugar belonged on that season way more than Amanda.
Sugar is one of my least favorite people to ever be on that show
Out of everyone on Gabon, Randy, Corinne and Sugar were the most iconic.
OMG THE WARDOG COMPILATION IM DEAD 🤣
Casting hit an all-time Malolo low, with these tribe divisions.
We need a video dedicated to the queen of meme herself, Candice
Editing a eagle cry over a clip of a bat for Candace... hilarious.
Teacher. 🙄
So to hear Survivor Casting expected physical gold from the P.E. Teacher, disappoints me but doesn't surprise me.
Five fewer working knees. I’m dying.
Ravu vs Moto pre-merge Fiji was pretty crazy. They should have named the season "Haves vs Have-Nots"
"and I got downhearteeeeed... Every time that I -"
"-PUMBA! Not in front of the kids!"
Haha "Farty"
I find it funny that the 2 seasons surrounding DvG (ghost island and EoE) are both on this list but the literal DAVID VS GOLIATH tribes aren’t 🤣
That's probably because puzzles featured heavily on DvG, and the David tribe had Christian, who took about 5 seconds to do the slide puzzle on the opening challenge
No idea what he acted like, since I haven't seen the season, but Wardog seems like a sweetheart 😂
Also calling the 30s old..
I hope Taku is on here haha
Considering the fact that every tribe has lost immunity exactly one time so far, I think it's too early to call.
Paused at 2 to predict the top spot: Pearl Islands. Not only does Drake have the stronger team no matter how you measure it they also had the ONLY Spanish speaker on a season where tribes had to barter for starting supplies with people who ONLY spoke Spanish. Morgan had no chance,
OK so clearly we were thinking on different wavelengths but IMO Pearl Islands has a MASSIVELY lopsided starting tribe dynamic.
Question: what is this orange tribe curse?
the fact that i preferred almost everyone on the villains team than almost everyone on the heroes team on heroes vs villains
You should do a video about worst challenge competitors/challenge performances in survivor history
Crystal Cox from Gabon or Wardog from Edge of Extinction.
Yeah I can never understand the tribe matchups in edge of extinction. Genuinely what were they thinking
What if the physical challenges were every tribe member at the same time, besides challenges like Schmergen Brawl
So we got lopsided tribe swaps and lopsided starting tribes. I'm just counting down the days until we get the top 5 blowouts in challenges, whether for tribe or individual challenges.
Wardog was the male version of Crystal
Biggest What If in Survivor; what the HvV cast had been able to watch Samoa and see Russell's playbook before going out?
Um... no mention of Palau????
That was a schoolyard pick for tribes in that season so he didn't include it.
🤣 I'm literally rewatching China while watching this as well.
Damn bro i would cry if i was on one of those tribes and i watched this video ur ruthless lmao
What was season where this one tribe lost ever challenge . That should be number 1 just saying
The fun part is that that season started with a schoolyard pic. They chose themselves!
Best tribes in new era of survivor according to me :
41. Luvu tribe (danny, DeShawn, naseer, erika, Heather, Sydney)
42. Taku tribe (Jonathan, Omar, jackson, Lindsay, Maryanne, maria)
43. Coco tribe (ryan, Geo, James, Cassidy, Lindsay, karla)
44. Ratu tribe (brandon, kane, Matthew, maddy, lauren, jaime)
45. Belo tribe ( bruce, jake, brando, Kendra, Katurah, kellie,
46. Nami tribe (hunter, randen, tevin, venus, soda, liz)
I think we need a video just for a WarDog montage 😂
I kinda wonder what a season would look like if they used the exact same cast as the previous season. Obviously it would never happen as it wouldn’t make for that interesting of tv, but it would be interesting to see alliances formed by everyone who got fucked over by the eventual winner, and the person who came in last the first time around might go farther this time
1:10 Excuse me? Survivor Gabon is a good season.
But what happens when you are 31-39 in survivor nicaragua
You aren't cast it seems. I would assume that if they had any promising people show up in casting while they were doing Nicaragua, they put them on Redemption Island, since they filmed back to back. The people who would fall in that 31-39 age range who were on RI (besides Rob and Russell) were: Francesca, Sarlta, and David Murphy.
I don't feel particularly hyped to think of how any of those three would do on Nicaragua.
Can we please have a top ten Coach moments video?
Thems are some fighting words about the exile island “older women” tribe. 😂
🤣🤣
Heroes were stronger physically the Villains were better in terms of puzzles.
I'm surprised David vs Goliath wasn't mentioned although that was kinda the theme of the season
In Hero’s vs villains James should’ve been on the villains squad and that significantly makes it more balanced
If there was one thing Naviti proved it was that purple tribes can be dominant and produce winners without being made of returning players.
fun fact! the "pe teacher" on malolo was actually my PE teacher!
i hope laurens crush isnt joe anymore
Omg not Taps for Candace!
did bro just say Chris Lauren and WARDOG to carry a team (did yall not see Wardog try to throw)
San Juan Del Sur is also extremely lop sided
I mean if look at the Coyopa tribe than Rocker and Nadeya should carry the tribe but than they lose all but two challenges and one of those wins was the immunity challenge Drew single-handedly threw to get rid of Kelly Wentworth.
@@cdawg4021 Not necessarily, because when Hunahphu had Jeremy/Jon/Reed/Drew/Natalie/Wentworth all on one tribe, while Wes and Rocker were pretty much it when it came to challenge strength for Coyopa, then it's easy to figure out what tribe would be winning most of the challenges
Have you been Watching Aus Survivor- Blood vs Water
Yeah, this season really fell off at the merge for me, but I'll see it through to the end. Any Survivor is good Survivor!
@@IdoledOut I stopped watching after Episode 14 do to anger at the men boiling over; let me know if it's worth it to continue!
I agree with the top 1 pick.
The Villains were lucky when JT gave Russell the Idol, because that's all they needed to get back in the game after losing Tyson and Boston Rob. It seems like such a dumb move by JT now, but remember that Survivor: Samoa didn't even air until Heroes vs Villains was close to finish filming, and with Parv, it was easy to assume that she was leading an all women alliance on the Villains tribe when you take Micronesia into account (poor Erik)
i know this video is 2 years old but im watching 45 rn and thought they were pretty lopsided. like putting reba against lulu was just not fair at all
