I always order food from the bohri kitchen website which is reasonably priced. As its difficult to travel all the way to south mumbai. For one time experience of eating bohri food try their online ordering with no delivery charges. In 1500 you will get lot of food from TBK. No need to spend 1500 per person by visiting their place.

I'm a bohri and the 1 thing that I absolutely love about my culture is that we get to eat in a thaal with all our family members together... people at my home wait for everybody to come home so that they can have lunch and dinner together... eating in a thaal brings the feeling of togetherness for me personally
3 much. You get a Raan Kabsa(Yemeni Rice&Lamb), for 600 at the Arab Quarter(Barkas) in Hyderabad. They are Yemeni people who came to work for the Nizam's Army. Their Kahwa(Arab Coffee) is a must try. It will not be this trendy though.

So instead you should try caterers in mumbai who give food in thaal system as well. Eg: lazeez caterers, badri caterers, etc.
n the bohri kitchen is i think no large no of coustmer every day so every thing is not prepair early . like normal restournt. so this price is ok . smoked samosa i want to taste
Considering the food quality, quantity(assumed unlimited), presentation, authenticity and last but not the least home cooked meal for 1,500₹ is not bad but you guys are just paying for the experience so bhori kitchen also knows 98/100 people are not going to revisit. You better have a lunch buffet at some 5-7star hotel where you will get much more variety but not this experience and taste.
Bohras did not originate in Yemen, yes Yemen was an important point in their History. Their lineage is traced back to the Fatimid Empire in Egypt, and even before to Makkah and Madinah. Secondly, the thaal is due their concept of shared eating which us a social activity.
For a specialty meal like this, 1,500/- per head is reasonable. People commenting here saying its too much have probably never eaten at fine dining restaurants.
