- Algramo makes zero-waste shopping accessible to people in middle- and lower-income neighborhoods in Chile by using vending machines to refill containers. The company is seeking to solve the “poverty tax” faced by low-income families that cannot buy in bulk as smaller packages can be up to 40% more expensive due to logistical inefficiencies, marketing, and packaging.

More shops should do this all across the United States! It can save everyone a ton of money on overrated brands!
This is such a good idea! Wow!!! Hope it catches on!
This is freaking amazing. PLEASE bring this to Canada!
Great idea! There is a use for plastic (on my sailboat, sails, ropes, even winch parts are made of high-quality plastic-like substances) in the world, but wasting it on single use is a tragedy.
exactly! plastic totally has a place, it just shouldn't be commonplace.
What a fantastic idea! How can this get started in the U.S.?
let Algramo know you want them to come! you can send an email or a message.
What a GREAT idea!! Thanks for sharing this.
When you have vending machines topping up containers it is using a sledghammer to crack a nut. Marking containers with a line would allow them to be filled up manually rather than using more resources for large machines that need maintenance.
Good idea but transporting so much water based products is so inefficient anyways. Why not start by selling water less products ? (Concentrated). That you only have to use your own water to use it.
Dried legumes are waterless.
So encouraging!
brilliant!!
AMAZING!!!
Fantastic.
Super cool!!!
This is exciting! However, it looks like this is directed toward more conventional products full of compounds those with allergies and sensitivities cannot use. Is there a way to include this relatively small market so the sufferers can participate?
It's not the same thing as in this video, but I use a company called Blueland. Fragrance-free laundry and cleaning options, and no single-use plastics. I use only their stuff for laundry and dishes and it works very well. I wish everyone who uses shared laundry machines would use fragrance-free stuff, because those smells still stick to my clothes, blech.
Good idea.
Heck yea!
what products are they dispensing?
mostly cleaning products and dried foods (separate machines, of course)
Brilliant Really Brilliant idea
Hoping this will be available and affordable all over the world soon
Solid shampoo
