I'm a Chinese who lives in the US. the way that nearly all the news media vilify China and exaggerate the unethical actions of the Chinese government bothers me a lot. However, I'm glad to see that elements of Chinese culture such as this and Liziqi's youtube channel are becoming more and more popular among the younger generation. I hope all people around the world can discover and know about China through their own eyes instead of through the news media which is often manipulated by the government.
The Chinese culture is steeply founded on the concept of Yin and Yang. This simply means harmony with the forces of the universe, which are essentially positive and negative, male and female, strong and weak, light and darkness, aggression and docility - meaning the two eternally opposing forces. The Chinese believe that there is risks and casualties in going against a prominent force of yin or yang. One must flow or ride along with the prominent force of the minute, day, month, year or decade if one desires wealth, friendship, health and all things in life. If the environment does not agree with you, you need to move to another place that agrees with you or you modify your goals so that they agree with your environment. This is the crux of Chinese philosophy culture, art and existence. Be like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. If you put water into a bowl, it becomes a bowl. This is why you see Chinese everywhere. This is the essence of Chineseness. This is the essence of all Chinese art and culture - art of martial art, art of cooking, art of competition, art of success, art of war, art of living, etc. This is why when you see any Chinese art or hear traditional Chinese songs, you notice a certain flow with the universal force. This flow is the art of harmony with the two forces, which you can feel in your deepest being. And this is art at its universal best. This is ancient wisdom. It is priceless if you can grasp the principle - especially in these modern times. It can bring you true peace, fulfillment, greater enlightenment and true happiness because you become ONE with the universe.

In the early 2000s, a group of us traveled to Hong Kong, Beijing, then back to Hong Kong, finally back home. When my boyfriend and I became separated from the rest of our friends on our first evening in Beijing, we were wondering how we would be able to communicate well enough to get back to our hotel. Then a miracle happened. Two Chinese businessmen hailed a taxi for us. I will never forget their kindness. All of us enjoyed every moment of our visit. One very meaningful memory among many others was being fortunate to hear the heavenly music of an elderly blind gentleman who was playing beautiful music on the erhu as we were walking. We stopped to listen, I could have stayed for hours. As we prepared to leave on our final day in Beijing, we stepped into the elevator so that we could find our taxi to take us to the airport. A very tall gentleman and I began a conversation. As it turns out, he lived about 15 minutes away from where we lived. It was hard to believe that thousands of miles from home we would meet someone who lived so close to us. I wish we could return for another wonderful visit.
not gonna lie its really true that some chinese instrumental really work to cure several illness like i got headache and a big migrain and listening to chinese instrumental works so good to cure it and make the dizziness gone.
This is very beautiful music and artwork. I've been in love with the Chinese culture (at least the positive parts of it anyway) ever since I was a kid, and I would like to visit there someday when it's safe to travel again and when I can afford it. Same with Japan. I also would like to learn how to play this type of music someday.
I spent nearly a year there in China. It's not as exotic as these images make it out to be but it's nowhere as bad as the US media makes it out to be either. It's an exotic world that is interesting for sure. everything is very big. the restaurants give you bigger portions than in america even, and you don't have to leave any stupid tips like in America, where tips are forced. lol. Also the hotels let you check out at 3pm if you want, so you can sleep in, unlike America where they make you check out at 11am, which sucks. Also you can talk about social issues more freely there, such as racial differences or gender differences without it being taboo. So you do have some social freedoms there that you don't get in America. The western media never tells you this though. I don't know why. Moreover, the streets are super safe. There's no such thing as a "bad neighborhood" so you can walk around anywhere at night. No one ever mugs you. It's not in chinese nature to do that. They may try to scam you, but no one ever mugs you. So there are pluses about China that you never hear about in the western media for some reason.

I'm from India but I feel really touched with Chinese music I have never been to China but also I feel like I have been there and I have enjoyed my life with beautiful mountains & rivers I hope one day I can visit all the countries of East Asia .
