James Punting I don’t know about you but most people I know with a storage unit use it to store mostly sentimental items with the occasional thing of value, these people stopped paying for they’re unit so there’s not really any high chance of anything valuable

My friend and his dad went to an auction a year or so ago, dad bidded and “won” a big gun safe for $600 that was all wrapped up and looked brand new, there was a second one my friend was working on but decided he didn’t need another safe so he passed thinking it was just gonna be another brand new safe. They were able to call and get the combo from the company for the safe and when they opened it inside was 19 guns varying from special edition collectors pistols to anniversary editions and tournament guns.

Being in this business as a side hustle it makes me laugh how these guys price everything, but still always entertaining. Most small time flippers will make 3-5 dollars per flipped item. Very rarely do you make the big bucks 😂. I think my best flip was getting two Disney mugs for $2 and they ended up reselling for $50 for the set. But honestly this show is over the top.
They do live in Hollywood and everything is 5x what it is anywhere else that's how California rolls

Trust me as someone who has been in the same business I know what you mean by that it is funny but to be fair a lot of times sometimes they end up being right and sometimes they end up being wrong. I mean I work for a liquidation company and there are times when we need to buy storage lockers to fill up the miscellaneous shelves in our store.

Some people joke about the prices some of these items get but you'll be surprised, i work for a recycling company and we got a massage table once (basically a table that has a hole for the face) that we thought was junk until someone bought for 600 and apparently he was happy to find it cause the one we had was almost a grand brand new, something about it was made in a way to support heavier people while being small enough to fold and go
