Bob Ross is one of the few people who can cheer me up no matter how depressed I get. What a beautiful old soul that man had! If more folks were gentle and kind like he was, it would be a merrier world.

I got paints, brushes and some canvas to paint on for Christmas, sadly still need a knife, paint thinner and something to hold up the canvas, but I'm a lot closer to being able to try painting for the first time in my life.

Sean Henry Newman I've been painting for 9 years but have only gotten serious in the past two! And in those last two have finally found my style so my point is to always remember you have many styles to choose from and you can still paint without the paint thinner or something to hold up the canvass because I also have neither. Good luck man!
+MoPro Uploads yes Sean read mopro post, there are many styles and you can make up your own style! You don't need everything I kno a painter that uses one brush to paint the most intricate paintings I've ever seen!
painting is so fun no matter what you’re doing or what medium you use (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc) but learning to do it can be frustrating. wishing you all the best from texas 👍❤️

I had surgery on my nose back in the 80's and I was at home feeling depressed. My sister put him on tv for me to watch and l felt better. Love this man and I still watch him every night in bed to help me sleep.

When I can't sleep at night, I come to one of his videos and it always calms me down and makes me sleepy, washing away all my worries.
I remember watching Bob on tv Saturday mornings when I was really young. When I figured out that he passed away, I was heartbroken. As young as I was, he brightened up my day. Finding his videos on TH-cam was so nostalgic and made me happy that I can hear his affirmations of how there aren't any mistakes and to be different. 😢 RIP Bob. You help give me a peaceful sleep each night.
My grandma says she remembers Bob Ross come on on PBS and when she figured out that I watched him on TH-cam she said it brought her back memories. I truly love watching Ross, he really brings some light into my day and he helped me a lot. I don’t paint along with him but it brings me so much joy just to watch him and see a smile come across his face when he simply says “Hi, I’m glad you can join us today,”. He made me feel like I had a place in the world and that someone cares about me. I know he’s dead and it makes me really sad because he was so amazing and wholesome, but Bob Ross lives on! I don’t know if any others feel this way but I’m happy he was a human being. I love you bob Ross! ^^

Bob Ross manages to stay so calm and chill all the time. He’s the person we should all aspire to be.
Everything must come to an end or is it? Maybe it's a new beginning? Bob has not truly or completely left us. He still inspiring new artists.
Bob Ross passed away 23 years ago today. Thank you Bob for bringing Joy, Love, Warmth, Comfort to so many peoples hearts. He was a master at his craft, and it's always a pleasure to watch a master in session. Between the tapping, scratching, low tones, and whispers, it creates an effect known as ASMR which creates a low level euphoria. That's why he always received letters of people saying it helped them to sleep, put them to sleep, or helped them relax. So it was a compliment. Some people now play Bob Ross episodes before bed for the ASMR alone. People even started buying brushes just to "Beat the devil out of it" to relieve stress, even if they had no intention to paint. He inspired so many to take a leap of faith and jump into painting, even those who thought they couldn't paint to save their lives. And no matter how many times "He beats the devil out of it" I still giggle every time just seeing how much joy he has doing it. And it was great seeing all the animals on the show. He definitely loved to help animals in need and get them strong and healthy, then release them in the wild. And Peapod was adorable. We miss you Bob, and Steve. Hope you're doing okay Steve and still painting. Your probably living a simple life off the grid, I respect that. Happy 4th! Love you Bob!

Hey there ! I'm in holidays in Austria right now, that's the only reason I can even watch this video. I'm from germany and in germany I can't watch any of Bob's videos since about 3 months. It says "The user hasn't allowed the viedeo for your country" (Translated that's basically what it says) Pls, whoever uploads those videos, allow german people to watch it again, we all love Bob here and really miss watching his videos :(
+Jonas Horn Let me help you. Use Proxfree(.)com, it basically lets you use internet on a different IP, just choose one that is not located in Germany and you'll be good to go. I had a huge issue with TH-cam, loading only some videos and I "fixed" it this way.
