Yes they are. I had a dog that knew when my blood sugar was dropping and she followed me all around until I realized it and drank juice or whatever. Then she'd give me an exasperated look and walk away. No one taught her that. I sure miss her.
Of course they do! I can remember my mother telling my horse that he had a novice on his back (my dad) and that he was to behave. He did. 😊 Next day, my horse danced and pranced all over the place with me.😂😂😂
@@Lin-co9jd my dad & great uncle put me on my uncle’s horse, he was almost 17 hands, my dad and great uncle told him to go easy and he did. I was about 4-5 at the time. Every time I rode him after that he was always gentle with me. I had this amazing appy and my sister would give my niece who was about 4 months old while I was riding her and she always behaved. I used to ride her with just a halter & rope as she did not need a bit.
The very thoughtful lady with this other lady asked permission before the disabled woman was brought to the horse. Horses are smarter than most people are.
Horses truly understand different people. Years ago I had a older gelding by the name of Geranimo. He would give an adult a great ride for their skill level. But... if you put a child or a child and adult on his back, you could not get him above a slow walk. Smartest horse I ever had and I have had 30+ in the last 50 years. I have 9 now.
IKR, my old boy Gus, could only be ridden by experienced riders, yet I could put young children on him, and then he would just plod along quietly as I led them around. I could even let go of the lead rope, knowing he would follow me at my shoulder. Many people underestimate the sense animals get by being around us. I had just started going out with some guy and Gus wouldn't let him get near him. I found out a week later that that guy wasn't only cheating on me but was also abusive to women. Since that time (I was in my early 20's) I've always relied on all of my animals to guide me on who is a good person to be around or not. Basically you cannot fool animals as they are just too intuitive. I couldn't live without my beautiful furbabies.
My horse became smart that way. One evening, he got scared and spun towards the "danger." I was bareback and started to go off when he spun back, throwing me back onto him.
Always fascinated at how empathetic horses are. They seem to naturally identify and be very gentle and cautious with those that young/small or vulnerable❤.
I just love the generosity of these Royal guards. They are among the best in the British army but they never seem smug about it. Stern when they have to be, compassionate when they don't always have to be. God bless them all from the USA.
I don't particularly like horses myself but that horse is amazing wow it's almost like he knew she was in need of a bit of love and he gave her some big time what a lovely moment for the girl courtesy of a special horse 🥰
I think people have different chemical smells. Dogs alerting on different diseases, and adoring the pregnancy smells. It's not hard to extend that to people with other limitations. We are blessed to live with generous animals.
This is so beyond heartening - it truly shows the compassion and intelligence of horses ❤ and kudos to the guard for allowing the child to become one with the horse
What a lovely, gentle horse! I have seen these gorgeous, patient animals become quite tetchy with stupid, disrespectful tourists, but it was immediately kind and gentle with this girl.
Absolutely a guard with a great amount of love for a person with special needs and horses that recognize someone that's not a threat...❤ love to the guard and horse!
Probably at least 16 hands of strong muscle, intelligence, intuitivity, beauty, and pure gentle kindness. What a perfect horse and a lucky human sitting on his or her saddle.
I am crying. This is so beautiful. I've owned four in my lifetime. Horses know. When I had Lyme disease, my beautiful Lady never left my side. Horses have a special gift of healing given to them by our wonderful Heavenly Father. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video.
That was pure and beautiful and surely made that disabled ladies day. Animals do seem to react differently around kids and know when it's right to be gentle. Good of the Guardsmen to allow it and for the control of his horse throughtout. Makes a change to see something heartwarming like this!! 😊
What a precious gift the horse gave to the young lady in realising her special needs, by not nudging but almost "kissing" her with his nose/snout. I've three pets who always curl up and show me extra love and attention when I'm not quite well. Animal instinct in it's purest form. Truly amazing❤

There is a reason there are so many equestrian therapy centers. Horses (when raised correctly and have ability to feel safe in their home and around humans) can sense energy and intentions. There has also been a study recently, that verified what horse people pretty much already knew. Horses can read their people's face for emotion.
I don't know if the horse was being given discrete commands from the Guardsman but either-way the horse absolutely appeared to know exactly how to present-to and behave-with a vulnerable person - quite amazing to see....
Those guards are humans too , they have compassion for people with special needs and horses as animals are gentle ,smart and sweet ! No wonder they connect
Horses are such intuitive & sensitive creatures. They can truly sense the inner intention & purpose of a persons actions. They can somehow sense fragile , non threatening & innocent people. They also know disrespectful, Hostile & ill- intentioned people. They also know when they're being made fun of or treated respectfully.
That particular Guard's horse is such a cutey pie and a big softy. While some of them are understandably cranky at being annoyed all day by tourists, this one can never get enough. ❤
Horses recognise the vulnerable, their ability to read body language is amazing.
You took the words right out of my mouth. It was so gentle and sweet
I think their behavior is control by the rider.

True.
It always amazes me how animals know to be gentle with small children and the disabled. Beautiful interaction.
I thinks that’s why I love animals. Especially horses and riding them.
This brings tears 2 my eyes. ❤
