When you get older, even the “highs” from drinking become diminished. It becomes more of a numbness. The buzz is barely enjoyable anymore. You’re in the right path.

Great to see someone of your young age creating this type of awareness around the TRUE detriments of ALCOHOL. I turned 50 last years and my drinking career began when I was 17, not sure how I survived it all now I am looking back. I can say when I was young I was so healthy and strong that I was able to stay in denial about the pieces of myself alcohol was taking. But the further down the road one gets in this addiction/self debauchery the consequences become very obvious, and like the old country songs claim, " the hangovers hurt more than they used to..." it is a progressive disease and the science to what I experienced is that when we are young our bodies are able to put up a good fight but eventually the pancreas and liver become damaged and unable to process alcohol, but alcohol damages all tissues of the body. The current TRUE SCIENCE is that no amount of alcohol is beneficial to the human genome, so consider the logic of the alcoholic mind convincing it's host that a reality exist where we can drink this poison in moderation, if drinking poison in moderation is not insane then I am not sure anything else is off the table.

I’m watching because my boyfriend now ex-boyfriend is a bad alcoholic and I want to understand better of what’s going on with him
He’s a good person, but the alcohol is destroying his life 😢💔
He broke up with me because of his insecurities and he’s gonna lose me forever if he doesn’t stop drinking

Hard to understand cause Its not the most understandable thing to go through. So many complexities to it. I didn't understand it myself so there for sure was no way anybody else could know what was going on in my head even if I wanted him. You may ant to help him, by all means support him but he's gotta figure it out for himself

As the parents of an amazing son, how do we help him and support him without being in his face.

As a son who wishes he had the money to check into rehab for 3-6 months. Get him into rehab if he can't stop on his own! Alcohol is a progressive disease. Stop today. One way or another 🖐️

I was sober for 3 years without any alcohol or drugs and that was being out here a free man not on probation or parole or a mandated to stay sober or even part of a sobriety group like AA, I did it wilfully on my own. That was 2 years ago I since then have gone on a slippery Slope you would say As far as like I drink a few and then stay sober for a week or 2 and then go back for a couple days and then off and on but I find it easier just not to even talk about it cause when I was sober those 3 years I never counted how many days I was sober nothing like that I would just remember like the anniversary date of the year other than that I wouldn't even think about my sobriety. It does sound to me like you have some relapsed triggers associated with how you used to drink and where you used to drink at you might want to start doing some different activities in those places such as talking to strangers or doing some kind of fellowship of that nature it really might help as far as changing your memory of those places. You doing This video is you changing your memory of these places so even doing a video when you get that relaxed trigger can help also that's the form of fellowship you're sharing with the world. With that said thank you for sharing this message
