Great video thank you! Audio quality is very low when you were doing your review of the switch. But when you went into your video when you were describing and going over the user interface the volume was perfect. Once again thank you
Willie, is there any good reason why Ubiquiti hasn't put out a unit exactly like this with 802.3af/at? I absolutely hate passive PoE and with some of these devices in the field in some of my applications, I have to send non-techs to troubleshoot and have in the past had someone fry equipment thanks to a Ubiquiti ToughSwitch. These would truly be perfect if they were not passive PoE. Thanks for your videos on all things Ubiquiti.
Excellent intro Howe! I am still not clear on configuring my ports. I am upgrading from the ToughSwitchPoE and the interface is totally different. I don't know how to configure my ports on the EdgeSwitch 10X. Not a lot is out on the configuration for this switch at all.
The price difference between a small Edgeswitch (for vlan routing) and the Netgear GS105E is a no brainer. $40 vs $110. Unless you're running UNMS you're not going to go for the EdgeSwitch 5XP. :( Wish Ubiquiti would come out with something in the same price point as the GS105E for a 4-5 port managed switch for those occasions where you still need separation but only for a couple devices at the end. The Netgear requires you to install WinpCap, a netgear device discovery tool, and a Windows/Mac management program required to administrate the switch. If the 5XP came down in price it might be worth avoiding the Netgear hassle.

do you know if i can set QoS on this one?
Hey Willie! Thanks for the videos! Learning lots. Other than the POE stuff what’s the difference from this and the edgeswitch 8???
Autofocus is slow but helpful. Audio was fantastic. I was able to read 20 pt font fine. Great video. Thinking of getting this for SOHO.
Hi Willie, thank you for your videos I have now upgraded to a Edgerouter X SPF, Edgeswitch 10X & 2 Unifi AP-AC-LR. .... defo leave your auto focus on.
Does anyone know when ES-10X and ES-10XP had own premiere/were presented/began available in the store?
Any chance that you could do a review of the EdgeRouter 10X (ER-10X)? Apparently it has just been released by Ubiquiti as of 04-29-2019.
autofocus on is better. Also voice level was a bit low on the first half of the recording. Otherwise great as usual :-)
Can port 9 be configured to be the uplink from a router as i need all 8 rj45 ports.
Ubiquiti SFP to RJ45 adapter should make this work for you. I know I'm late to the party, but just in case you're still suffering.
will an er-5 fit?

Another awesome video...Thanks Howie...
Low sound on first part bro
@@WillieHowe NO,2nd part was 'normall' first part was muted?
The newer one has no sfp
Leave auto focus on. It's fine. We thank you for trying.
Thanks for the video W!
Audio is a bit on the quiet side
Autofocus should always be turned on, when you make the videos.
Lol Willie check out that Winter beard getting Santa Grey lol....that's cool man
I'd rather get a Mikrotik CSS326-24G-2S+RM for the same money which does have 2 SFP+ uplinks and more ports!
As said audio is a little low.
Passive 24v Poe again :-(
Please leave the auto focus on .. big difference!
Before you upload a video, open it in adobe audition and make sure the audio looks ok, will save you from any future mistakes.
Your volume is low.
Willie, love the sweat pants bro. Lol
