When you took 2 damage for rolling a hit when flanking, it should have been 1 damage. Flanking do not use the range damage number from the card but rather is always 1 hp on a hit.
Really clear explanation, thank you. I have everything in the Dark Castle range but that was actually making it harder for me to get my head around how ranged combat works as it’s so different. This was really helpful. 😊
This is such a helpful tutorial. Really clear instructions which are going to help me get going with the copy of the game I received for Christmas. Personally, I think the art and components look incredible. I think the designers have their audience clearly defined, as you point out, it's the now middle-agers raised on Fighting Fantasy and Lone Wolf gamebooks. I'm hoping this game might recapture some of the magic I felt when dipping into those books as a nerdy kid. Subscribed to your channel - keep up the fine work!
Very well made video, your setup and explanation was great! Lots of differences between this and the dark castle so I was glad to check out the video before heading to the board game cafe later. Thanks!
Thanks for the video, I was having trouble understanding the ranged combat to close combat change and whether I could go back to ranged or not. Were your cards fairly warped? Mine are, although some light bending has gotten them somewhat flat again.
Interesting. Looks like the best scifi art and design from the 1970s, combined with the contemporary enthusiasm for game paraphernalia of dice, charts, cards etc. I think the electricity would have to be out for me to get into this game. Could be part of a hurricane kit. It is a handsome game set.
How exactly this flank works? It works with Close Combat? And what happend when 1 Player have ammo and rifle and second Player didint have Ranged weapon?
Thank you Andy, this game looks like very good quality but I'm not sure you could play too many times without it feeling rather repetitive, that said I'm sure it would be fun for a group perhaps on holiday or one person stuck indoors because of bad weather etc. :>)

Glad you found it helpful and thanks for your sub too 👍🏼
When weapons jam , you don’t loose the ammo dice, so you didn’t need to reload.
Great review! Just one correction 21:30 when checking for flank, you can only lose 1 HP regardless of the ranged attack value of the enemy.
Thanks - must have missed that.
@@BlackJackLegacy Still one of the coolest explanations of the game on youtube!
Thank you 👍🏼
Many thanks for the break-down of the rules, much appreciated.
Where can I get the play mat?

Excellent video! Love the theme and art style, reminds me of Mothership rpg.
Thanks!
Very good explanation. Thank you so much for the video!
Thanks for watching and your kind comments.

I just got the game, and my cards are a little warped as well.
I just got this game, thank you for the tutorial. Great video!
You’re very welcome. Hope you enjoy the game Bruno 👍🏼
Great video, Andy 😊 I would say I preferred this to Dark Castle, just because of the extra rules and mechanics.

Looks like a lot of fun I'll have to check it out thanks!
looks like a fun game, will definately check out the castle one!
These games are a beat down. I still love em both. I like the expanded items and dice in sector though.
When you entered close combat you should have flipped over the flank card.

Sottish accent? Not quite...........
End of round, you get one reload so you wouldn’t have been able to reload all your weapons.
