Alice and Jasper were always my favorite characters, even though they are only supporting characters. They just seemed the most interesting and likeable, imo.

@@Diamond-gm4ry so a main charectar is like Bella for instance, a narrator or integral part of the story, a side character is someone who is reoccurring but doesn’t take up as much screen time. Alice is an example. She’s mentioned a lot, we hear from her sometimes, but she’s not a constant. She can move along the plot but she herself isn’t the plot. I hope this could help lol, I kinda made it confusing but can’t think of a better way to say it.

I love this franchise, but i also have no problem with people enjoying themselves laughing at these movies. It still means that the movies are entertaining.
Right? It's fun to be able to do both.
I once loved it obsessively and wrote my only fan fiction stories about Twilight. Now I see it with a more objective eye and can laugh along with others but it was once my main fandom and I look back on that time with fondness.
I used to despise these films, but once I climbed down off my high horse and accepted I'm neither a movie critic or an author, I realised they're not terrible. I still can't get past my dislike for Bella, but I think I got swept up in the "it's cool to hate twilight" attitude, and it's really not that bad. Not great, but it wasn't trying to be.

Carlisle is a 400 year doctor. He could simply write some studies about a weird syndrome that makes people sparkle like diamonds and all the vampires could just help him to sell the lie and then everyone would be free to walk in the sun 🤷🏼♂️

I really enjoyed this reaction. I've watched a lot of Twilight reactions and he is definitely the most fair in his commentary, not jaded at all, and actually gives it a chance

Gott love Bella's superpowers in that greenhouse thing when she slips forward. She pushes the girl with no hat that was in front of her, and when she rights herself it's a completely different girl with a beanie on in her place.

250 pounds guy here, with visible abs, and NOT gay. I have read all of the Twilight books...more than once. And I have seen all of the Twilight movies more than once. Sure. It was a lady that got me involved. We read the books together, and watched the movies together. I reread and rewatch and think of her sometimes. And I will be with you guys through all of these. Vanessa, maybe you should read excerpts from the books to him...and look up Comic Con Hall H clips on TH-cam from when this one came out....so Robert can get the whole picture. You could also show him "Dear Stefanie Meyer" by Lindsay Ellis, and "How Twilight Saved a Town" by Fandom Entertainment. Both in TH-cam.

Wow, I never noticed the thing about the microscope before. Seriously, I never paid attention to that until just now. I will admit, the makeup on the vampires always sort of distracted me in this franchise, especially what looked like lipstick on Cullen and the super-pale skin.

rewatching them i clearly see how they left the growing of styles as in the books, i still like them, all of them. The sparkling makes sense, its a supernatural thing, its like his skin reflects the light cause there's nothing to a vampire, like a mirror...and the "stalk" is normal, not for humans obviously, but vampires live endlessly and know how to ponder things, be theatrical and at the same time not show themselves, it makes sense. Even the first vampires would look "cringey" to us, the mannerism is the same

The reason for the sparkle is because in this story vampires are supposed to be attractive in every way possible to humans, beautiful sparkley skin, smell, voice, etc.

I’m not the biggest fan of Twilight, but I find the hate for it quite misogynistic. It seems that whenever there is a cultural phenomenon that women and girls like, it gets mocked and overly criticised. It doesn’t happen for stuff men and boys like. Yes, Twilight is slightly ridiculous, but so is Spider-Man.

I’m totally team emmett. He’s my fantasy man. Hahaha also i watched this in theaters so many times... it’s not something to brag about. I watched it when i was on vaca in florida at this dollar theater and it was just me, my sister and a handful of amazingly vocal black women who were all into it. It was amazing. Those were the best viewings of any movie i’ve ever seen.

PShhhhh...the entire Pacific Northwest is burning to the ground because it hasn't rained in 3 months.
This was actually the wettest July in many many years (maybe ever) here in Tucson. We got over 10 inches of rain in July. And we need it. We only average 10-12 inches a year. It usually only rains hard around 10-15 times a year down here & last year we had 108 days where it hit 100 degrees or higher.
The rest of Tucson may have, but we barely got squat.

This movie has so many cringe lines (spider monkey, really?) and I hate Kristen Stewart's performance (like a robot that's glitching) but for some reason I still love this series. To me Eclipse is the best one overall for many reasons. I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the series.
